Bit of a tourist trap, nice to participate in the silversmith workshop and make a pendant or ring, very enjoyable. The real gem is the grounds and garden which is very picturesque. Really well worth a visit a mini shangri-la.

What a great place to spend an afternoon. Or even a whole day. What first looks like a smallish museum opens up into a intricate complex full of artwork. Add to that the fact that’s it’s also a hotel, the rooms are gorgeous and so well laid out.
There was an exhibition on when I went and as part of it there was a great book on Balinese art. Definitely worth a visit.

I only visit the museum, almost everything here is from a private collection. But I think the resort is a very nice place too because I had a chance to walk around, I saw everything is in a peaceful atmosphere with trees everywhere, oh, and they also have the spa and pool too.

The museum is a great place to visit if you want to see local art. The collection is relatively large and varied. The grounds of the complex are green and worth a visit, even if you are not staying at the resort.

Arma Museum and Resort in Ubud, Bali, is one of a kind in Indonesia. On an huge piece of land with 2 good restaurants, a Museum with many original artworks, Arma has Bali style bungalows with bathroom and toilet to rent as well as a newly opened modern building with 25 rooms, a swimming pool and 2 open halls for relaxing in the shade or for group events. The whole area stretches from one hill with restaurant past the open stage, cafe and museum via stairs to the vally with a small rice field and river and the second restaurant which is also the breakfast area. Beyond the river lies the
new building with 25 rooms and swimmibg pool. The whole resort is home to beautiful tall trees, flowering shrubs, a ricefield and orchids if it is 'orchid season'. ARMA is a place for families, kids are welcome, and the elderly who are still strong and can climb many stairs. It is not suitable for people who need a wheelchair to get around.

Beautiful garden and lots of artistic statue and sculptures. Clean room and nice pool to relax. Museum is quite interesting, especially if you like Balinese paintings. Staffs are friendly and helpful, shuttle to Ubud center is available at certain times.

It's a nice place to go seeing paintings by various of Balinese artists and other painting collections of Mr. Arma. Range from traditional Balinese style to the modern one. There's also a meeting point of painters and crafter in its garden, you can see them working on their canvas and wood, interacts with them and probably try to learn a bit of painting technique(s). You can buy paintings (not the one inside the museum) and handcraft here. The view is stunning with various plants and a corn (or rice?, i forget) field. The resort seems nice as well, they welcome you with such warmth.

Went for wood crafting class. It was a bit difficult as we had to sit on the floor. Nice and relaxing experience. Friendly teacher.

The museum is amazing, there are only 2 galleries even though the brochure says 3, the last one is a poorly maintained bookstore that is by no means appealing. Do give yourself enough time for the art! I ended up spending 3 hours here and still felt that wasn't enough. I had to constantly look up things on my phone due to the lack of explanation on the art. If you aren't familiar with Indonesian art and Balinese art, you probably want to spend at least 3-4 hours here, and make sure your phone is fully charged because you'll be looking up things all the time. Or, you can also just pass through like some other tourists did. But hey, come here for some serious art adventures! As for the complimentary drink, it's only coffee or tea. I found the staff in the cafe near the entrance to be snobbish.
