Close to Ubud‘s main sights, this place offers good food for a rather high price. Cocktails were good & creative - and not the typical Mojito / margarita / etc.

It was overpriced. The chicken wings were good. The coconut drink was close to water taste.

Fancy sate bar with western prices. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. Surprisingly, the ayam and babi sate (IDR 90.000/dish=$8) were not bad. Came with a bit of rice and some stir-fried veggies. The Lychee Tea drink we got tasted like watery tea only. Didn’t bother trying the other dishes and don’t think we’ll come back to try because it’s not really genuine Balinese cuisine. The other dishes were about IDR 25-40.000 per stick. WC was pretty clean. There is more upstairs seating. This place is okay only for a quick and pricey sate fix.

It is expensive, but the food tastes great. You won't be disappointed in the pork sate, that comes with sambal kakong and kueh tupak- rice cake. A lot of effort had been put into marinating the meat and even the rice cake we could taste spices in it. Well we felt the restaurant could be cooler as we went there for lunch and it was terribly warm and as it was full house we didn't have option to choose to sit outdoor. Hence we were seated indoor near the kitchen and it was really stufffffy and warm.

Delicious food, all the Indonesian dishes we ordered was flavorful, great location with nice ambience. Weren't disappointed. A must try when you're in Ubud-Bali, Indonesia.

We were craving some FUSION type food while in Ubud and this place really hit the spot!
The Happy Hour Platter:
Midday into early evening they have an appie platter for $65k that includes: edamame, dumplings, chicken wings, and ahi tuna nachos. UNREAL! The food is so mouth watering! (You can also add a beer to the platter for a good price as well)
We went 2x's for this platter!
We also ended up ordering more dumplings off the menu and the soy chicken which was so juicy and the meat fell off the bone. Really high quality food.
The menu is so fantastic you will have a hard time choosing what to eat!
The service was a little hit and miss. Our first time was great, but our second time we were treated more like a nuisance, which was unfortunate.
HOWEVER.. the food was so good and priced well that I'm still going with 5 stars.
Will definitely return!

After a week in Ubud probably the best place I have eaten. It’s not cheap by Balinese standards but not expensive. Quality food and decor. Service was also pleasant but most places are.

Vegan-vegetarian meals were delicious. Arang is a bit more expensive than other restaurants but it’s well worth it. Also, the cocktails are really good. If you come between 9-10pm, some selected cocktails are just 58k.

Delicious vegan meal options.There is also a discount between 9-10 pm on selected cocktails. We had three and all of them was so good. Also service was perfect. Highly recomenmended.

Arang is by far our favourite place to eat in Ubud. Although a little more expensive than most eateries here, the food is exquisite. The tasting plates leave your taste buds exploding with so many different flavours. Two small entrees and a tasting plate will cost you less than $30 but is sufficient for two people. 😊😊😊

Great service. Complimentary tuna sate was delicious...however we sat in the patio area near the drain and the smell was quite unpleasant. Sit further back in the restaurant.

Total surprise. The satays on the hot brick were simply delicious. What flavours and combinations. Totally wonderful. Great interior and exterior. Very western bistro but nothing wrong with that as an alternative to typical Bali food.

We were having a cocktail and looked like a nice restaurant so we decided to stay for dinner.
The food was good and innovative. The price is a bit more expensive than most of restaurants in Bali but the environment is worth it. However, service was not at the level of expectations: I had to order twice a drink to the same waiter, and it never came back to me. Then I finished my food and said to cancel it to another waiter...I'm still waiting for an apology...

Nice restaurant. Jazz music on tuesdays. Cool place and atmosphere. Good place to eat Satay (sate). The service was a bit slow, the food correct.
Overpriced if you compare other places in Ubud

Very nice food and friendly staff! The duck satay was great and very nicely served. The prices are slightly higher than average around Ubud (as far as I could see) but to me it was definitely worth it! Would definitely recommend.

Good place to have nice food which called Sate with reasonable price. Also bartenders are good even though little bit talkative. Good to visit and chill out with cocktails and light foods.

Had a fantastic meal here. Upmarket satay joint with v nice cocktails (poached apply margarita) Not fine dining prices but very sophisticated menu. Good middle ground between ubud fine dining set menus and Warungs. Staff v friendly. Decor like the chain Dishoom back home (UK)

Great dinner with a special menu called Full Moon. The prices are nice considering the quality of the food. I've personally gave the compliments to the chef. The minus was the two bartenders talking loudly to each other and laughing all the time.

Enjoyed live jazz and a fantastic menu. Sate stick options were top class, beautifully presented and delicious. Generous cocktails, good service, rooftop terrace. A must try in the centre of Ubud 👍

Great design and feel, wonderful professional staff and the toilets have AC!!
I had the hot plate tuna sate and it looked fantastic, tasted even better. Rice accompanying it was a little dry.
The mojito was really really good!
Good free wifi too.

Totally underwhelmed - expensive and food was average at best; the meat platter had two meat items exchanged out for vegetarian, no egg with the pork belly noodles (as described to us when ordering). The staff were very nice and offered a dessert or some money off of the bill, which is why this is getting 2 stars instead of 1.

After a sweaty walk through the humid streets of Ubud, we were struggling to decide where to sit out of the heat for a cold drink. We randomly walked into Arang and didn't regret it. I had an iced tea with coconut sorbet in it, and after my first sip I was sold. I immediately ordered a couple of small dishes so I could try their food as well. Shared some chicken wings and some pork ribs with my wife, and they were delicious.
It's clean, and a good place to sit and relax with some tasty treats

This is a fantastic place right in the heart of Ubud. The food is excellent, delicately flavored and to the point, just as it is in the sister restaurant Fat Gajah in Seminyak. Super attentive service, yummy and refreshing concoctions from the bar, great athmosphere and very clean. I would have given them 10 stars if that was possible.

We stopped in here for a very quick bite to eat. We had a some chicken stay sticks which came with small saffron rice bites and probably the best stays sauce I've ever had. We also ordered some twice cooked chips with the most amazing, fresh and zesty sauce. We also got a Bintang and the most divine lychee and lemongrass iced tea I have ever had. I so wish we had more time to spend here. The food and the service were such a high standard for a very reasonable price. Who'd have though chips, stays sticks and and iced tea could leave such an impression. ENAK ENAK ENAK!!!

We tried this place based on the awesome reviews and its high rating. Boy, how we regreted it! We ordered a couple of watermelon juices and milkshakes, and we've got glasses full of water and a drop of melon/banana. The worst drinks we have ever had in Bali, and we come here for more than a decade.
The food was tasteless and it looked like it just got thrown on our plates. We had a truly horrible dinner experience, so be aware!

By far the best $13 I've ever spent on food (the sate sampler with beef, pork belly, lamb blue cheese, oyster mushrooms, and asparagus). Expensive for Bali but completely worth every cent.

The food and the service is impeccable
I'm personally not a person who gets excited by food. But this restaurant got me excited. Food was great, reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly. Ate there twice in 2 days and will eat again. Highly recommended
