Lovely hotel in the middle of this magical jungle. The surrounding was five star, more to wish from the service poolside and the breakfast. Overall really nice experience!

Amazing hotel, Amazing spa, Amazing location I was sad to leave for the city. Would definitely recommend and I'd stay here again! Staff are great and can't do enough for you.

Lovely staff, great breakfast and an amazing infinity pool. Lots of gekos and insects though which is acceptable given that Alila is resting in the middle of the jungle. Overall the level of service and guest hospitality was exceptional and amazing.

Great hotel to unwind the business of the Ubud street. Outdoor shower is amazing. I enjoyed the bike ride by the hotel. The trip is pretty interesting except there is portion of the road that is on the main road which there is no bike lane. Pretty scary.

We will remember our trip to Alila Ubud for the rest of our lives! So many things were amazing at the resort. The breakfasts with jungle surround, the monkeys, the sounds, fantastic bar and restaurant.
Rooms are what you would expect from a 5 star resort, outdoor shower and bath was a very nice feature.
If I had to mention one thing to improve its that the pool could be heated as was cold in mornings

A great location with excellent facilities and restaurants; but the best thing about Alila is the staff. They are a great team, genuinely enthusiastic, warm and friendly. It is especially telling that we have bumped into several staff - off duty - in Ubud and they say hello and ask if they can help with anything. I am so impressed by all the people working here and wish every business had such high morale in their team.

Stayed 4 nights in Deluxe room.
Staff are exceptionally attentive and hospitable almost to a fault. The design and view of the resort are second to none. Food and drinks are top notch. Monkeys will visit to score afternoon tea which is entertaining. Some improvements needed to the rooms: bathroom ventilation is zero, beds aren't very comfy, and the ground floor rooms really accentuate the rain. Would stay again though, in a more expensive room.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been so far. The staff is incredible the food is great and the atmosphere is touching. The missing star is because we had a disappointing experience with a babysitter - which had no experience with kids - and one of the massages let me with finger nail scratches - which is complete unacceptable. Besides these Id easily recommend his to couples and family that are looking for a resort as close as you can get from nature.

This is paradise in the jungle. The staff were all extremely helpful, chatty and helpful to help with questions. The food was amazing and I would recommend everyone checks out their spice market event for their buffet and dancing

5 star service hotel with amazing views looking out to the trees and the wildlife surrounding it! Very close to nature and there were regular sightings as well as some close encounters of the monkeys at late afternoon too which was really special!

I stayed here for my sisters wedding over the weekend which was also held here - Alila Ubud is amazing. Thank you so much to all the beautiful staff that made it the most incredible night and a lovely breakfast for everyone overlooking the jungle the next morning. Nothing was ever too much trouble, the spa was incredible, food amazing, monkey's hilarious. Thank you again to all the staff!

We loved our time at The Alila. We came on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The staff were so friendly. Everything is made so easy, just perfect for a honeymoon.

The place is gorgeous, the views and scenery are to die for. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The location is secluded, about 20 mins in the car from Ubud central, costs about 80-150k Rupees. My only reservation is the food and drinks are on the expensive side, although the food is very nice! The breakfast is delicious and they have a nice variety.

Incredible place & people! We had a villa with 2 bedrooms and a private pool and it was an amazing time despite that was raining a lot. People very friendly and helpful. Food also amazing, local and international.

Very quiet and off the beaten track. Fantastic food, facilities and service. Plus monkeys!

Staff are brilliant and very welcoming. The valley villas are amazing. Spacious, magnificent view and comfortable. Breakfast is superb with excellent choice and varies day to day. A little on the pricey side for the spa and restaurant but this is a fantastic location and top quality.

Beautiful hotel, we stayed in the pool Villa which was gorgeous, beautiful pond surrounding an outdoor bath which was very romantic. The villa was clean and had everything we could need.
The restaurant and bar served good food, and the staff were friendly and polite. The bar did great cocktails and can do classes on how to make to if you wanted.
The reception staff were great and helped us book different activities etc.
We didn't go to the spa as we thought it was quite expensive but sure it would be just as lovely.
The infinity pool is amazing and the views and scenery are unbelievable, I have never seen anything like it!

Absolutely phenomenal! We stayed here a couple of years ago on honeymoon and it has quickly become the benchmark which we hold other hotels too! The service was fantastic, food and entertainment were excellent and the staff were more than wiling to help in regards to our dietry requirments.
Not to mention, the views are briliant - monkeys are everywhere!
The one down side is that it is secluded so I would recomend staying here for a section of your trip before going somewhere a bit more built up.

Stayed in a valley villa. Amazing views yet the hotel is in need of an upgrade in terms of room styling and amenities. For example manual blinds that you need to tie around a metal hook is tiresome after a couple of nights stay, as is the lack of a master switch for lighting. Larger menu offerings for breakfast would be appreciated, as would more options in terms of drinks. Monkeys roam around the compound freely which may be an enticement or a turnoff depending on how well you deal with wildlife. Unfortunately found that staff often provide differing explanations of pricing for activities leading to much confusion. WiFi choppy on first two days and non functional from the third night on. Staff provided mobile internet after 20 minutes of fiddling with the router. However as soon as this issue was resolved I noticed 3 lizards had occupied the ceiling of the villa. The staff did their best to resolve but at half past midnight on our third night I was well past reasoning. Not what I signed up for. An incredible disappointment. This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Avoid like the plague.

The location of this resort is amazing, as it is situated in the jungle. If you stay there you'll see all sorts of birds, lizards, butterflies, monkeys squirrels, fireflies and more.
The bathroom smelled a bit funky, and we got eaten alive by mosquitos, but this didn't upset us too much.
The food is decent, the cocktails are great and the pool is outstanding. Have a look at the picture attached.

I have never felt as pampered and well looked after! The hotel is set in stunning scenery, surrounded by rice fields and jungle. The pool has the most amazing view, and the rooms are just gorgeous. The restaurant, while pricier than most, serves amazing food that is well worth the extra cost!
Book a table for the spice market if it's on while you are there!
Henri Treude (20/05/2016 15:03)
Nice hotel with fantastic breakfast and expensive SPA. So the breakfast was quite a treat with exotic smoothies and lots of choices of local or international dishes. The rooms are nice and adequate. The SPA is many times more expensive than services that you can order in while staying in a villa. Views from the pool area are marvelous as a river passes the plot perhaps 50 meters below with steep banks.

Great place to stay!
Absolutely recommended.
Away from the hordes of tourists and taxi drivers, Alila is set inside the local natural ecosystem. They pride themselves in their efforts to protect the environment and minimize their footprint.
We just checked in yesterday and already feel absolutely relaxed. We were lucky enough to see around 20 monkeys on their way to the river, right from our bedroom!
The food is great, they are "Slow food" certified.

Sublime service and stay...and wont break the bank. Nothing short of excellent. Just what you would expect from Alila
Kevin Ahronson (29/04/2016 04:06)
Outstanding service and amazing food. World-class chef. Staff culture is completely focused on guests. Never wanted for anything.
Definitely recommend the 90min Balinese massage at the spar. We had a number of these and were completely blown away by the skilful hands of the staff.
Throughly recommend this place as one of the best chill-out hotels we have ever visited.

Loved the Ubud " vibes" that Alila Ubud presents from the paddy fields to the lush forest background surrounding the property. We came to Alila Ubud for lunch at the Plantation restaurant . What can we say, the food was just superb , tasty, nicely presented and served timely. Of course the Balinese hospitality from the staff was spot on too. Sitting at the Plantation, enjoying the breeze and Ubud greenery was a perfect treat for our visit to Ubud.

Amazing resort in the jungle! Amazing all you can eat tapas style breakfast that changes each day, great views, ambiance, pool is spectacular, very friendly staff, there are even a few monkeys about. Handy shuttle into town. Don't think you could do better! Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
