A beautiful outlook and excellent staff. We stayed here for three nights with our friends, accompanied by our two kids and their three. (2 -10 year range). The little villas are airy and very 'Bali'. The food was very nice and reasonably priced with a menu that catered for our range of fussy eaters. I highly recommend the village tour which took us through the beautiful rice paddy terraces and finished with a visit to the local art school. Such intricate and detailed art work from a talented artisan. The road is nearby with lots of steps, but it was a great contrast to the chaos of Kuta and Ubud. We often had the pool virtually to ourselves. A lovely place to stay.

The pool, services and the room with bath are really awesome, but if you dont like creep insects and animal, like spiders, geckos, scorpions, frogs and maybe snakes, this is not your place because will have some dificulties to sleep and walk at night. The reason of it is that the hotel is really inside mountain forest and they care about the native animals and insects, what is a really nice mindset. This is what I can tell about the hotel and sorry about my English.

Beautiful place and nice staff, the free walk around the terraces and the village was great. Clean rooms, well-kept chlorine-free pool. Organic food from own garden was good but overpriced. Some breakfast options were good, but the fruit salad for example was tiny. All options include huge croissants + lots of coffee/tea in a pot. Free shuttle to Ubud three times a day, free water refills.

Beautiful setting, incredibly helpful and kind owner and staff. Western standards, Balinese heart. Stunning!

The hotel looked very nice in the pictures and has a nice environment however the rooms and facilities (pool, chairs, pool side chairs) were worn down and poorly kept. The room smells dusty and old. WiFi was said to be included however connection was very poor and slow in the rooms. Overall the hotel is just poorly kept, it has potential to be amazing but as of our stay it wasnt a good experience

Beautiful, quiet hotel with very friendly staff. But the restaurant is a bit expensive, because it's quite far from the center of Ubud. Although there's a free daily shuttle, but only until 17:30.

A really nice hotel, friendly staff and awesome guided tours. Really low prices for amazing service. Nice, daily cleaned pool open at all hours - which really comes on handy when returning late from the night markets.

Stayed at the Alam Sari for three days with by my partner, It was a very enjoyable experience. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was clean and well kept. There is no television, but there is a safety deposit box and a very cool bathroom.
If you get the chance, speak to a man there named Putu. He offers a free tour of the surrounding area through the jungle and rice patties and tells you about all the different plants they harvest. Very interesting if your into that kind of thing :)
