The building is quite old, but the nice views and good facilities make up for it. The food should have been better though

I frequent this hotel, its really homey, and it doesn't feel like you're in Surabaya, it have that "bali" vibe ❤️

when we first check in, they say the room is full because there's a wedding that night (even tho we have call the hotel to confirm 1week earlier) and they say we'll be upgraded to the apartment with a living room. went there and see the condition of the apartment and it is horrible....we immediately complain. then the staff asked us to wait again while they look for available room. finally they give us an available room besides the brides family room, sneaky.

Old, in need of restoration, room smelled musky, good selection of food for breakfast, nice big cafe which sadly allows smoking in-door.

Reception service fine. Restaurant food good with friendly service. Good location however staying to look dated and in need of refurbishment.

Very bad hotel, big with the dusty and broken room.
Amenities was old and not clean. I got broken towel and cover pillow. The door can’t close perfectly with broken and dusty curtains.
My kids got sneezing and coughing all the time because of dusty air conditioner and dusty room. Its just like big and old fashioned building.
The services were very bad, my rooms ready after 7pm. Restoran waitress very bad attitude, they treat my family impolitely.
The food just so-so

Great place! Feels like you're not in the middle of a crowd civilization. Except for the train's sound nearby which sometimes pretty annoying.

A very nice family-oriented affordable hotel. Has 3 different pools and a slide that the kids will enjoy. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the rooms were big. I'd give 5 stars but the cocktails we ordered were awful, expensive, put in the wrong glass, and took 30 mins to make.

I like how they manage their lobby with traditional way. They even add aroma therapy. I like it especially sandalwood. Meeting room is large and coffee break is superb too although they didn't clean coffee/tea stirrer well. Dinner and lunch is good enough but breakfast is better then booth. Room is clean and unique. bedroom and shower room is separated with glass but you can cover it with provided valance curtains.

Sorry to say, it was a horrible stay in Novotel Surabaya. Dusty n dirty bed, dirty WC, torn towels, incomplete toiletries. Normally we get upgraded rooms but last night we were degraded from Suit to standard room without any compensation at all.

While most aspects of checking into Novotel have been excellent, I feel we must place a formal complaint about the noise level of a wedding event currently taking place. Perhaps the staff could have warned us that an event using a very loud speaker system would be blaring all evening so we could have chosen another place to stay and rest. It wouldn't be ok if another guest disturbed the peace in such a way and it should be applied to this event as well. There should be limits on the time and loudness permitted by such events in common areas that would affect other guests. At a minimum, such events should be planned for more sound-proof, private or enclosed venue. We can only hope that such disturbances won't mar the rest of our four days here.

I liked the service very much, the welcoming service was excellent. But, the cleaning service isn't what i quite expected, my mother once was taking a shower, and the staffs didn't even knocked the door before enterin. The room cleanliness can be improved a little, the bathroom didn't had any lock, which i don't really like. The food weren't that bad, but still can be improved. The view of the pool and its surroundings are excellent, but, once i entered the pool, it was very dirty, i heard some guests saying it was used as a pool party. Still, i had an amazing stay when i was there, one of the best hotel that i have stayed.

It was a good hotel, nowadays it reduced in food and service quality. Even though it is a good weekend escape inside surabaya, with its park and swimming pool.

I have bad experience with the recepcionist, My vehicle was not registered as a guest,Thus making me to pay the parking tax for two days. Actually I have registered my vehicle while checked in
But room and other services are pretty good.

I stayed in the apartment unit for two nights.
Love: hotel/resort in the middle of a city this big and spacious is a rarity. I cherish all the green space they have around swimming pool. Though the pool had more CL than i would've liked.
Like: spacious room with good view. I could live for years in that room. Plus they have decent sauna and spa.
So-so: services and breakfast.
Dislike: very-very minimal utensils and cookware in the kitchen. Why give a room with a kitchen if there's no cookware and utensils?

The room is spacious and newly refurbished. A lot of trees in the garden surrounding the rooms. Good value for money. But overall below the average of Novotel hotels, especially the foods.

Ordered their caesar salad and sparkling water at the Janggala Restaurant. Caesar salad is an OK-- but I hate the strong smell of the onion. Also, got a little fly stuck on the ice cube.
Kinda pricey for SOME of the menu and they charge 21% for tax and service.

At least 4 or 4.5 out for 5 always for this Novotel. Been visiting since at least 10 years ago, the room refurbishment slightly discard the "grande" or "royal" taste of teak wood furniture and room decoration. Apart from that, the pool, spa, gym, lobby and resto are very well maintained, staffs are friendly and the terrace with poll view is fantastic.

The facilities it self is very comfort and clean.
But at the end of my stay, i had bad experience with lost and found staff.
She put down my phone while i still speak.

some room is old, the shower head is bit rusty. WiFi only can be used by 3 person in a room. apart from that, the service is good, fast. still a good place to stay.

I stayed at suites room (3 floor building along pool side). Room size very good. But if you travel with luggage, think twice because they only have stairs.
Breakfast was good with smoking area right in front of the swimming pool.
Unlucky day, pool area used for wedding reception. Band so loud, so many people passing through the corridor, really uncomfortable.

Never thought staying here would be the worst ever... The pool was cool, the room was ok, but don't expect you get a clean white towels. What was bad is that some of the personal weren't even smiling when they checked you in. And the worst is that on the second day (it was sunday and they should know it was fully booked) at 8 o'clock in the morning, the breakfast was already empty as if they didn't prepare for the busiest breakfast. Almost all the food was empty, no free table, no juices, it took me at least 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. As a person who once work in a 4 star hotel, such a chaos should never happend. I must say, it's a horrible 4 star hotel to stay. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Nice place for families with kids. The pools are fun for me and kiddo. they serve freshly baked croissant (mine are always picked hot from oven and it is gooood) and we can make our own cappucino. So special i capture a pic about it. easy to get around Surabaya too. Love it

Large size room, espesially for the apartment. Friendly services. nice breakfast menu, and one of my favorite things is the architecture. Great post modern architecture between its exterior and interior. Love it!

I stayed here 10 days in May for a business trip. In general hotel is good in the price range. I rate 4 stars because the pool is dirty.

Meet the novotel standard expect for weird interior design around closet and bathroom. Besides, no towel provided for pool. the location is bad not many things to do around there.

Novotel hotel provides facilities and services to a highly satisfactory. Located not far from the Wonokromo shopping center, Joyoboyo Bus Station and the Surabaya Zoo... Happy Holidays friends Tq:)

The hotel's rooms arrangements reminds me of Novotel Bogor, which I like it.
Room size is quite good - just about right.
Food for breakfast is okay. For most people probably no issue, but for me there weren't enough salad and vegetable to choose from. The rest are typical Indonesian fried foods.
The real problem for me is the bathroom. Please don't expect to get a clean white towels. Instead, the hotel will complements you with greyish towels with natural looking spots here and there. Please note that this goes for ALL towels.
Another thing is that the shower drainage is also a big problems. The water just couldn't pass through. Not only it's dirty, but it's really dangerous since the floor becomes extremely slippery. Extra attention should be given for those who will travel with elderly or small children.
