The place is so beautiful, Misty and somewhat really is a great place for pictures. There's nothing much to see there besides a somewhat lake looking light blue poisonous water, but it look so good in picture. If you want to find a photo spot just go here.

Dari gerbang masuk ke lokasi kawah putih masih sekitar 5 km, disediakan angkutan umum bagi anda yang tidak membawa kendaraan. Lokasi wisata terawat dengan baik. Pemandangan kawah putih sangat indah, banyak spot foto menarik di lokasi ini. Banyak fotografer yang menawarkan jasa untuk mengabadikan moment anda disini. Sebaiknya menggunakan jaket karena udara cukup dingin.

Loved this place, but beware of the sulfur smell. The guide said it's maximum 15 minute because the smell can make us dizzy and nausea. The best time to go down is when the sun covered by cloud, enjoy the wonder of nature

You can see the crater so close with white color and sometimes can be green Tosca. Amazing scenic and nature. Instagramable! Fresh air and bit chilly. You'll love this place. 35K admission with return shuttle.

One of the best Volcano Crater in Indonesia. It opens from 8am - 17pm. When you visit this place, I suggest to to come earlier (8am or so) because only few people visit this place at that time so that you can freely take a lot of pictures.
There are two types of transportation choice. When you reached Ticketing Box, you can choose either you want to drive your car (150K/car + number of people in car x 20.000) or use local transport (untang anting for another 15K)

It was great to discover this place if you have no respiratory problem. You get to see it up close and touch the water. First hand experience. Bring a jacket. It quite cold and breezy up there. Also a face mask to cover your nose.

In White Crater, the View is stunning.. they improve the place so we cam get a great picture.
The thing is the trip to White Crater is long comparing the time that we can spend there (max. 15 min)

A wonderful place near Bandung, West Java. Gorgeous.... amazing.... The crater it self looks like a white lake surrounded by a tropical forest. You can go down to the crater, or climb the hill and see the nice scenery from above. Beside that, while climbing the hill you can also visit the tea plantation near by. The temperature could be very cold, so don't forget to bring your jacket. If you go down to the crater, the smell of sulphur can be strong in some particular area, just wear a mask or don't take a deep breath

Heard about this for so long .... and finally Am here ..... love the nature here .... however, they make you pay for So called "preservation fee" of IDR 150k for car entry plus enteance fee of IDR 20k for each person.... I wouldnt paying but.... it was a bumpy ride .... with all the money earned they should have maintain it Well.... wE also had tO pay for restroom that is not even clean .. but i was having great time in the crater area ....

Over rated place.. Too expensive entry tickets 150,000 for cars... Too much crowded on holidays... Local transport vehicles are very unruly and chaotic... These People create jams on the narrow lane to volcano... Very small parking as compared to the number of vehicles that come here... Nothing to see except for a green water lake... I don't suggest anyone to visit this place.

beautiful views, overcrowded. Bring your own mask, its cheaper than buying from there. really cool so bring your jacket if you can't tolerate to the altitude.

It was beautiful place to visit. Been here twice to accompany friends from abroad. It is good n nice view. Never get enough to see the colour of the creater n the beauty environtment God has made. The entrance fee also affordable n they also have shuttle car facilities. Good place for meditating n not easy to forget.

Never seen a lake in such a shade of blue before. Very beautiful. The sulfur smell isn't that bad as compared to the ones in New Zealand, so don't bother to purchase the masks offered by locals there, unless your intention is to support them :)

It's quite far from Jakarta, around 5-6 hours. Also the road fom Bandung to this location is rather narrow and many traffic. Google maps is very useful to guide the route.
But you will find a fresh scenery during the trip, and enjoy great view of blue crater lake at the location.
If you want to visit here, it's better to have overnight at Bandung.

Tempatnya romantis abis. Kawah Putih satu-satunya di Dunia.
Tapi sayang, banyak bayar kesana sini, yg harusnya udah paketan sama tiket masuk.
Bayar masker exclude dong.
Entah karena momen lebaran atau emang tiap hari gitu.
Buat yg mau bawa mobil sendiri, jalurnya cukup Extreme. So hati-hati guys.

A dormant volcanic crater up the mountain. Nice cooling atmosphere with sulphur fume in the air. Need more info in other languages. Don't go during the weekend the road leading to the place is jammed with tourist buses and vans. Overall the road are very narrow.

Beautiful bluish scenery reflected from the crater. The colour depends on the acidity of the water.. transportation is provided from the initial parking area.

Our driver drove us all the way up to the parking area for 150000 and the entrance fee per pax was 50000. Carpark to the crater was about a 5 min short walk and it was amazing. A must go in bandung and go only during weekdays as weekends are packed with the locals. Bring along umbrella and mask as well cause the sulphur might make people dizzy after long

A great place to visit. Have very beautiful scenery, a good and fresh air. But sometime the sulfur smell is quite dense so you have to wear mask.
To reach the crater from entrance, you can use you private vehicle, but a bit pricey. Or you can used public shuttle car that they provide. For your notes, the road to the crater is a bit steep and winding. The road not to wide so you need to be careful if two car passed by.
If you want to eat, they have plenty food stall near the entrance.

This place is very peacefully. We take about 15 minutes with local transportation to reach the crater. The scenary was so beautiful. I like traveling at this place over again and again.

Kawah Putih is located near the market town of Ciwidey about 35 kilometres south of Bandung.
Meaning “white crater” in Indonesian, the main attraction of Kawah Putih is the surreal turquoise coloured lake which fills this vast dormant volcanic crater.

Beautiful crater, it was worth the trip. It is NOT true that you have to take their shuttle, because you can drive your own car all the way to the top. Of course, you have to pay the car entrance fee if you do. Different prices for domestic and foreign tourists, but that's quite normal.

Very beautiful but a far drive, and they have really taken advantage of its access. The parking lot is conveniently located 5km from the site so they can charge you to take a bus to the top. You're also not allowed to walk, you HAVE to pay for a shuttle. Naturally there's people everywhere trying to sell you stuff at marked up prices too.

Kawah Putih formed by the eruption of Mount Patuha happened several hundred maybe a few thousand Yajun ago, Surely no one could be sure
White crater itself was found in the Dutch colonial period unintentionally, then the Dutch took blerang that its content was very nice until they run out, Now Kawah Putih so the one of the sights were amazing for every visitor's belle eyes, With a 2 1/2 hour from town Bandung and ticket prices for the 45 000 local and 75 000 thousand for foreigners

The location is quite far away from Bandung. The road is a winding road and not so wide. It is advisable to not wear a sedan.
the weather is so cold. It is advisable to bring a thick jacket, especially for children.
To get to the top, the vehicle must use a low gear, a better use of vehicles SUV, not a sedan.

Far from Jakarta (about 5 hours), but very interesting and beautiful lake. The aqua color is due to sulfur and low pH.
Well worth the time to get there, quite unique.
Plenty of stalls around sell strawberries too!
