Spent a week at The Stones and it's a great hotel with wonderful staff that is always quick to greet you with a smile. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The balcony is a great place to chat and take in the view after a long day. There are a few small mini marts just outside the complex and plenty of places to try and explore.

The breakfast buffet is delicious with plenty of choices. Little warungs line the alleys streets all around the location. The beach is across the street. Great place to stay if you plan to stay in Kuta.

I absolute love The Stones Hotel. My first trip to Bali was many years ago and I always consider this place home. The staff are always smiling and friendly and always remember my name.

You must get a pool view on the higher floors to enjoy the soaking tub on the balcony. With the privacy screen, you have nothing to worry about.

This place does play music from about 10:30am-9:30pm daily. That said, I’ve read recent complaints about the noise from the music. I personally enjoy the music and the music selection, and it also helps drown out some of the noise from some of the neighbors.

The breakfast selection is amazing and there’s something for everyone on the menu. The prices have slightly risen since my last visit, but I suppose that is to be expected.

If you are a Marriott rewards member, they will possibly upgrade you to a better room. It’s free to sign up. I’m not upgraded every time, but I do receive a suite from time to time.

There are often Bali fire shows or events down by the pool almost every night. If you’re looking to spend your time alone in your room, this isn’t the place for you. That said, if you’re looking to meet people of all ages from all over the world, I’d highly recommend staying at least one night to get the true Stones Hotel experience.

Don’t forget to ask about their homemade Chili Chocolate.

Stayed for 2 nights at the room with pool view. The entrace to the hotel is not attractive at all. Lots of empty shops. The lobby is big but so plain. The hotel need to be updated seriously. The furniture is old and the room is lack of maintenance but clean.
The best thing this hotel posses is their staff. They are fantastic. Always smiling, polite and very helpful. Location is great. The pool is massive and they have live music in the afternoon till 5 pm. Breakfast is great. Plenty to choose from. Overall we enjoy our stayed.

Although the rooms were nice and the pool was amazing. The dinner options were not that good. We waited on the roof restaurant for way too long. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. Try the local options since this hotel is centered in a fantastic location in town.

Great stay. Interiors and rooms has been kept very nicely, they are little unique than the ones I have visited so far....You can find a whole big balcony attached to the room with wooden flooring. And to add a distinctly some thrills...and nicely placed Oriental styled bath tub...Now its left for imagination on how and when to use it since every adjacent room balcony is facing each other.
I loved the pool area with poolside bar.
Overall, I loved my stay...it's more of a romantic place for stay..

I've been here once. I like this hotel, I got a popsicle when I checked in. We have to pass the security check first if we want to enter the building. The food was good, they serve Indonesian and western food. You can see the pool when you have breakfast here. You can go to the beach anytime because it's just right in front of the hotel.

Had a direct pool view hotel during my stay here recently. Really nothing to complain about. Room is nice, big and comfortable. Genuine king size bed instead of adjoining 2x singles. And a bath tub that is on the balcony that oversees the pool.

I spent most of my time at the hotel pool instead of the beach. Lots of day bed around, there are also pavilions if your group is bigger and wanted more privacy. There’s pool side bar, service is prompt and the snacks and beverages are not expensive. Service is prompt too and the waiter is attentive to our needs. One occasion he saw that our pool towel is torn (while we didn’t care much about it) he insisted on changing.

Pool is also welcoming for both adults and children. There’s a nearby kids pool. There are also large pillow floats all over the pool for patrons to laze on.

Overall, a happy stay!

Lovely staff, pretty pool and the bath on the balcony was pretty cool. Less than 1 minute to the beach by foot. Only thing you won't experience balinese lifestyle since it's an occidental hotel. The bed was amazing but the bathroom aera is not that amazing considering it's a five stars hotel.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at The Stones. I could not fault one thing about my stay. What makes this hotel so special are the team members. Management should be congratulated for superb team they have assembled. Every single person I had contact with was friendly, had an unbeatable customer service spirit and went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. Thanks to everyone at The Stones. I couldn't have had a more relaxing and enjoyable time.

Hands down the best hotel in the Legian area. This is my third time back at the hotel and the service is as excellent as it has always been. The staff are very friendly and pleasing, and I've always managed to get a complimentary room upgrade when I've stayed here (Thanks Mr. Reevo). The huge pool and pool bar is one of the main highlights of this hotel, and you could literally spend your entire day just relaxing here without noticing where time went by. Love Love Love this hotel, and would definitely stay here again in my future trips to Bali.

When you first walk in the rooms, there is no entrance way. You walk in and you are already in the bathroom. Glass dividers for shower and toilet. A curtain to separate the bathroom from sleeping area. No lounge indoors, but you do get an outdoor balcony with lounge 2 seater + outdoor soaker tub. Interesting setup.

7 glorious nights with just some minor issues. The rooms with the bathtubs on the balcony is a worthwhile upgrade. I found the bed and the pillows comfortable although the missus had some issues. The room is well - equipped and not in want of anything. Separate bath and water closet was good.
Good choices at bfast although i would have liked a change in variety.
The pool was great and again not lacking.
The staff were wonderful and should be commended a that is the culture and character of the Balinese people.
While i wont deny that Bali is commercialised that is something that cant be helped. Prices gave risen and thats because tourism is their lifeline and the culture has adapted to it.

I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. First of all I booked twin room and they gave us king bed room. When I told them they said I didnt state my bed preference but in actual fact I did. Then one day my room key would not work my daughter got stuck in the lobby couldnt get down. They also play loud music till 9.30pm around the pool area. It's so loud you can still hear it even with door closed. Reception staff is very under trained took too long to check in. Restaurant staff not attentive as I always had to ask second time for my coffee to arrive. Also had to pay the hotel room cost at check in not at check out. First night dinner at the restaurant I could not charge to my room and they said I have to pay cash or card as I did not put deposit down or something but I had daily food credit of 500k rupiah. Overall not a very good experience.

Marriotts are always an awesome place to stay.
Staff is very helpful. Their concierge is quite knowledgable and always came up with good ideas for our questions.

They confirm my booking but they didn't provide me any rooms. Said it was system fault. Very bad.

We had a pleasant stay at the Stones hotel. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Once we had an issue with the car we hired and the chief of security staff went out of his way to help us get things resolved with the renting agency. He even called them and explained the situation. This is what I call great service. The aircon is somewhat erratic (switching off air supply when temperature is increased?!) but other than this hotel offers best quality for the price. Breakfast was ok (I've seen better in a 5* hotel), we also had a free dinner included in our package which was a traditional Indonesian dinner and included a small at-the-table presentation of how sambal sauce is created. As for the surrounding area, if you like crowds, horrible traffic and smog then Kuta is for you. Otherwise I would recommend avoiding Kuta/Legian area altogether if you're traveling to Bali.

Greatest hotel to sleep in bali, as it is near to the beach and as well one of the best mall in bali, Beachwalk.

James Adhitthana (11/08/2016 02:36)
This is an amazing 5 star hotel located just across the Kuta Beach in Bali. The pool is great with water that doesnt hurt your eyes, the room service is fast, the facilities are plenty, and the hotel itself is very lavish and beautiful.

Amazing luxurious hotel on the Kuta stretch. Reasonably priced, great facilities, wide and spacious public areas and well-appointed suites. Friendly service, fresh vibes, great ambience.

Gideon Ooi (31/05/2016 14:06)
lovely hotel with very friendly staff who were very warm and courteous and helpful in the little things, such as helping to get taxis (the hotel is deep in at the end of a fairly long driveway so this saves us about 200 m of walking)

the pool looked a little dated though and lacks atmosphere.

Max Yeo (21/05/2016 05:45)
Excellent hotel! Each room a has a balcony with an outdoor tub or its own outdoor small swimming pool. The pool is large and lounge chairs in the water too. The breakfast buffet was super delicious and features foods from the west and indonesia.

Phyllis Lo (01/05/2016 15:34)
very friendly sincere and energetic staff. nice food. big swimming pool. clean. easy to go out to beach. convenient to go other places in Bali

Sueño Ray (16/03/2016 08:31)
Very beautiful swimming pool. Close to the legian beach where you could see the marvelous sunset.
I like the color of the logo of this hotel. The red is just the color of the sunset.

But I didn't see the comb and the dryer in the bathroom. I don't know why.
Maybe this is the imperfection.
