The epitome of luxury is THE Mulia. We stayed in the Baron beachfront suite at The Mulia. The view of the ocean was fantastic! The staff is very polite and one has a 24 hrs butler. The suite is exactly as the pictures shown on the website. The rides to airport, breakfast and high tea are complimentary if u stay at the Mulia or the villas. Our 5 yr old enjoyed the Kids Club very much. The amenities in the suite were high end. The spa is great as well. On the expensive side but highly recommend for people who want to be away from town and enjoy the beach.

What price do you put on exclusivity? Your answer will determine whether you choose to stay here or at the resort. High end experience, service impeccable. Exclusive access to the Lounge, the private pools and cabanas and of course outstanding amenities and service. Iād say this would be best Nusa Dua has to offer.

Never again. CHECK IN: We used to trvel to Bali many times. This time we booked 5 nights Beach View Suite. Fotos show full beach view. Decreption told full beach view. 1.500 Euro we paid for full beach view. But there gave room without beach view at all. There told if we go to the front on balcony and turn your face to right then you see ocean. We dont accept. After 3 hour checkin we got room but if you go to the front of window you can see partially oceam. We not accept. 24h hour after checkin and after appointment with Hotel Manager Brain we got the book we booked. Also I saw 4 times the same situation with other guest. Only the want to give room with ocean view like booked if you pay at reception upgrade. From us there ask 13 MIO IDR more like we payed alredy.
LOCATION: The Mulia looked like GHOST TOWN. 750 rooms but almost no guests. Seems like a death town. For all you have to go long distance and you will meet almost nobody just stuff.
OCEAN: Not easy to swimm in ocean in front of The Mulia. To much algen plants and plasic in ocean. Better public beach 1km away where the locals swimming.
POOL: The Pools are only 1m deep. So not usable for swimming just for splash
BALCONY: Smoking on Balcony is not allowed but there tell not in front of booking or during checkin
WIFI: Very low. Jsut 2mbit updoad or download. Also in business center. If you go to some cafe like STURBUCKS there offer almost 20-30 mbit.
There are many 5 * Resort beachfront in Nusa Dua. Better we choice other Premium Hotel next time because Nusa dua can be so beatiful.

The biggest, nice and clean hotel i've ever saw. The staff are very nice and helpful. The sofa in the hall is very comfortable, i dont even sut in there for 5 minute but i've fall asleep already xD. When i was about to go out, i left my watch. Then i call them to ask if there is any lost item that they recover, and like usual they ask little detail about the watch and thanks god they found my watch. Then they ask me to come over tommorrow, then i come and give them some id for them to make the report. Now i got my watch back. Big thanks to all mulia staff, security, big thanks to mulia hotel.

Too expensive and nothing is free.
Hotel conditions are good but staffs are not seems to be professional. Whatever I asked, they keep telling me they will call me back.
I would not recommend this hotel. There is too many better places to stay.

We considered ourselves lucky to have spent 5 nights at this amazing resort. Suites were amazing, staff very friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Being able to access the Spa, Resort & Villas by spied buggies was great. Highly recommended

I'm not really one for R and R but this is something else.
Unbelievable service. Amazing location. Great facilities.
Chris Chen (05/09/2017 10:06)
Refused to waive off the second night stay even though I have checked out earlier and they have verbally agreed to do so. Totally poor service and just looking to extract more money from consumers in the short term without considering about long term relationships. Rooms are overpriced too.

Truly amazing experience!
I spend 2 nights on honeymoon with my wife here. Everything seems so perfect. The views, the private and public pools (they had 3 amazing pools with different views), the food, and absolutely the beach.

Perfect in every way except for having to queue for 20 minutes to get into the dining room every day because the other dining area was closed due to not being busy..... really????

Nice and cozy room. beds and linen very comfy. amenities are standard. Good location. Big pool. Seafront hotel.
Benjamin Lau (18/05/2017 01:39)
The Mulia has a reputation for exceptional service standards. Not to be confused with Mulia Resorts and Villas, The Mulia stands alone with its private pool and beach for its residents. One only needs to take a buggy out to use facilities and amenities. Recommend to go with the Earl Suite along center stacks to get exquisite views everyday.
Lilly Wellness Coach (29/04/2017 11:02)
We are at the Mulia now, for 2 weeks and I am disgusted at the quality of service and rooms. Our toilet has serious issues with plumbing and stinks like a mens urinal, the staff wont do anything to help us. I am an international and known world travel blogger who has over 1 million instagram and twitter followers and i am about to make a post about my stay at the Mulia. Furthermore, the food is average, and the managing staff are NOT helpful and very lazy. I will be telling my 1 million followers I do NOT recommend The Mulia as a holiday destination.

Prepared to be amazed! Fantastic service and attentive staff. The best service we have experienced at a 5 star hotel. We stayed there for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely and we were very sad to leave. There was a selection of different cafes to try- all food was tasty and lots of options and it's the sort of hotel and resort where you just stay and enjoy and not want to go out and explore Bali! Will definitely come back and highly recommend to all. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay a memorable one!
Rod Taubman (04/01/2017 02:20)
Do not stay at the Mulia in Bali. Overpriced for the what you get in terms of location, service and quality. To qualify I am a frequent traveler to Bali all of my life making two trips a year here and trying new hotels often to try and get some variety. I am a CEO that travels across Australia and Asia and my wife is a Surgeon who frequently travels with me. The Mulia is now my least favorite in a list that spans most of the nearly all five star hotels in Bali.
Reasons Why:
- If you don't get to breakfast by 8:30 expect a 10meter line of people. This is unacceptable even in peak for a five star hotel
- Similarly make sure you wake up early to secure a position by the pool. Once the staff put a towel down for a guest they will keep that spot all day for them, leaving manny empty deck chairs that can't be used.
- Despite having large numbers of staff they have difficulty coordinating amongst themselves - examples to follow.
- Waiting for 15min for lunch when a table is available. We arrive and are told there is a wait. After 5min of looking at an empty table I asked why can we not sit there and waitress says she'd check (5min later) she returns and says sorry there is another guest for that table. After another 5min I ask another waitress who sees us standing and asked if she can help I ask if we can sit in at this table she says ok. Then we witness an argument between her and other staff. Very unprofessional.
- At lunch we received of mains 30min apart. This is at Soleil.
- Pool service - 45min for a club sandwich to arrive
- We prepaid for a NYE Dinner INR6,400,000 (USD$470) for two people not including alcohol. Assuming this would be a degustation or a nice al-la-carte given the price. The dinner turned out to be a Buffett of the worst type. We lasted 30min. After complaining through two managers I was handed a complaint card! After eating in the best restaurants all over the world this was the biggest rip-off I've ever experienced by far.
- We left to go to the sky bar to get a view of the NYE fireworks but, get this Mulia didn't put any NYE fireworks on. We could only listen to the fireworks going off at the St. Regis next door.
I expressed my grievances a final time on check-out and asked to speak to the Mulia Food & Beverage Manager Sapta Dharma who thanked me for my lengthy feedback and offered me a lunch as the only compensation he could offer.
We left being very offended and will never stay there again and dissuade anyone who is entertaining the notion.

Did an 8 night luxury escape and found the relaxing experience fantastic. New and modern right on the beach with great food and very friendly helpful staff with good English skills. Used this resort as our base to travel around Bali. Would do it all again.

I feel like dying. I really do. I mean it's all not that bad except that the service is so awful it makes me have a migraine. I have a big family so my mom told the house keeping to make up the sofa bed which took 3 hours!!!! They never came until then which then took 1 hour to make it. And these guys don't have extra blankets or pillows, I mean what the hell is wrong with this 5 STAR HOTEL? Instead they send us towels so that we could use them as blankets. Worst of all, the staff is so damn rude! When we were asking them to get us extra pillows and blankets, the woman on the phone said, "WHY DO YOU WANT IT? YOU ALREADY HAVE IT, IM SORRY YOU CANNOT HAVE IT CAN I HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING ELSE? Well, that was a great day and I thought breakfast would be better but I'm sorry no. When in got all my food there was no cutlery so I asked for it and then it arrived after I finished my breakfast after 1 hour. I am stunned this is one of the best beach resorts. So, if you all still want come here please do if you want rude and irresponsible staff in the hotel AND awful wifi, please come.

This place is fabulous. The physical facility is beautiful, well maintained and beautifully appointed. The staff is efficient, courteous, very friendly and eager to practice their english with you. The food is exceptional and offers a variety of ethnic choices. If you are planning a trip to Bali, I strongly recommend. checking out the Mulia. You won't regret it. You might also check out the villas.

Fortunately I have the memory of when I used to come to Ger Ger Beach to walk the pristine beach with my family and surf the wonderful waves. To chill with the locals, and eat and share drinks with them in their warungs. This was seven years ago. Imagine my shock at seeing this monstrosity of indulgence that has displaced the Balinese and dominates the entire landscape. With water features the size of which I have never before seen, on an island that struggles to supply itself year round with this precious commodity. I am saddened. Deeply saddened.
