Slow checked in process, the receptionist did not know what to do when I told her that I got online reservation.
I expected that she will explain the type of room I got, the hotel amenities etc.
She did not know the newest type of credit card safety features. During our stay the service was spotty and inconsistent . The food was ok. We like a lot the location very prime. The building look old.

This was my 2nd stay at the jayakarta. Depending on your room they can be tired but if you want a great choice for breakfast and be right by the beach this is the best value around. I have no complaints about my room on this visit . The beds are really comfortable and the room are cleaned daily. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The hotel offers a free shuttle to MataHari dept store a few times a day. I look at other properties to stay in but can't go past this one. It's a great location for nearby places to eat on the beach and in the street.

The grounds are extensive and well kept. It's right on the beach. Rooms are tired and basic. Take a powerboard as there's only 1 power point! Our room didn't have a safe, hairdryer, or second armchair. Might be good for families with young kids. We will look elsewhere next time.

Stayed 6nights. Nice area with a lot of tourists. Stuff was always friendly and helpful. Sometimes some difficulties with the language.
Great breakfast buffet und nice dinners.
Didn't handle problems like I wished they would but was ok.

Great resort! So many pools including child’s pool. Right across the road from the beach. Many options for accommodation too. The staff are so nice and friendly. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment it could do with an update it’s a bit old but did the job. Awesome air conditioning and shower pressure!

Awesome place. Great for families or traveling with friends. Stayed with private apartments in the resident section - much more comfortable than the normal units.

Our stay at Jayakarta was great. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned, they had a cot available for our baby and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The amenities include swimming pools (with a child friendly one), play club and spa. The food was good and room service was reasonable in price.

Nice place and beautiful property but rooms need to be improved. Rooms don't look like 5 star property.. nice pools n best is that beach is very close by... Good is also good..

Just spent 10 days there. Were given a dingy room but soon got moved. Would recommend rooms in 400 block. Breakfast was good even though it never varied. All the staff are so helpful and friendly ,they go out of their way to help. Only negative about this hotel is there isn't a safe in the room it's annoying to have to use a safety deposit box at reception. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

What an awesome resort! Beautiful greenery with a great swimming pools. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and buffets are lovely. Also, a super nice beach right there with amazing sunsets. Would love to visit the Jayakarta again! Travelled from Cape Town, South Africa.

I had previously stayed at Jayakarta in 2015 and came back due to this trip being just my friend & I. She had never been to Bali before so the Jayakarta really felt like a true Bali experience. All the staff were so friendly & helpful, nothing was a bother for them. The gardens and pool areas are super and the food was great too. We were delighted to receive three complimentary dinners and ate at the hotel restaurant most evenings.

Tom 2794 (02/08/2017 12:33)
Great Facilities, rooms were average with an old tv (though the people next door had a flash Samsung) awesome buffet. There are so many chemicals in the 3 pools it's ridiculous. Would recommend it to families, but make sure you shop around as you can get some outstanding bargains.
Mandy Flevill (21/06/2017 22:33)
Its cheap, cheerful and its a place to put your head down for the night. Pools are great. Breakfast is great. The rooms need a revamp and this would clean and spruce it up. Beds and bathrooms cleaned and changed everday.

I was very disappointed with the hotel. The room was outdated with broken items all over and dirty, there were stains on the sheets and not enough towels. When we as the front desk for more towels they insisted that we were wrong and there were enough towels and refused. There we rude at check in and even though we confirmed a late check out the came early and started cleaning and disabled our keys. They did not honor the room reservation for one of the rooms and didn't give us the double room that was confirmed. I will never stay here again.

Rooms as for 4 star hotel are small, dark, pretty dirty and definitely need some refreshments. Bathroom is small and have specific smell. Towels are very used. One of the pools is in renovation now. Breakfast doesn't provide much variety. Wi-fi on rooms works very slowly. There is no locker in room, you need to use one in reception which is free of charge. Hotel is quite far from city center but there is variety of shops and restaurants nearby.

Jayakarta is fantastic for families with children of all ages. Plenty of room for them to run, play and swim. There is a separate pool that is quieter and away from the children. There is a choice of restaurants and they also put on cultural shows throughout the week. Great sunbaking, people watching deck overlooking the beach as well.
Poop Pooper (23/04/2017 03:18)
Great family oriented hotel with breakfast included. Quiet and peaceful in beautiful grounds. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Easy walking to Kuta although hotel offers free transport four times a day. Very much recommended.

Great resort for families across the road from the beach. Lovely pool and pool side service. Including massages and drinks.

Room is clean, but the disappointed thing is the staff around swimming pool and bellboy are racist to domestic guest.
Me and my aunt wanna go to the beach in next morning, we pass by the tanah lot restaurant.. there is two man standby, one with orange uniform greet us with English but we respond with bahasa indonesia cause we are Indonesian and you know what the other man with red uniform cancel to greet us and he look the other way didn't care with us. He already say "good mor.." but after we answer with bahasa, he didn't finish his greetings. For me it's rude thing. But the other man with orange uniform said "oh I though you are Japanese, ibu" - with bahasa.
Yeah maybe not all staff rude like him, but I think you guys should get more training not to be racist to guest.
And one thing, idk is it only my thought or maybe they have but they didn't want help us. They are 3 star hotel but they didn't have a TROLLEY to manage our luggages. We check in in apartment lobby but our apartment is in different building with the lobby building so after regristation we have to move to our apartment in other building by our private car.
When we arrive in our apartment building, the bellboy already waiting and ready to help our luggage. When I ask bout trolley, they said that they didn't have it!!!
The bellboy bring the suitcase and we bring our stuffs by ourselves. He even not offering to bring our stuff later when he already checking in us in the room.
And we didn't get welcome drink when we did the check in progress (might be there is no welcome drink in their hotel for check in)
This hotel is not place for domestic guest. *sigh*

This is a great resort to relax or socialise, great location and friendly staff. My only upset was that I happened to be stung by a bee sitting at breakfast, as the sweet food attracts a lot of them, but there is not a large amount to do about that. Had a lot of fun hanginf out by the pools!
Teruti Auora (16/02/2017 23:18)
It has that great Bali feel. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much. Loved our family stay. Would definitely go back.
Maria Santoso (09/01/2017 11:41)
The staff were unfriendly and quite impolite in treating local tourists. They put the foreigners' need first and then if they remember, later the local tourists need.
This hotel also needs renovation. One strong point is the location is right on the beach.
But surely I will choose other hotels in our next holiday in Bali.
Good luck!
Matt Martin (20/11/2016 22:28)
Staff were inconsistent and would direct us around in circles between people when we asked questions.
The room was third world, everything from the sheets to the couch was infected with the searing smell of cleaner making the room smell like a public toilet. Power points where hanging out of the walls with exposed wiring and the air conditioners hardly worked and when it was running leaked all over the floor.
The toilet doesn't flush properly and the shower has a low flow head that makes it feel like you're washing your self with a water pistol.
Wifi is reasonable in speed but doesn't work in the rooms, I'm currently sending this from the balcony.
Would recommend steering clear at all costs as it isn't that cheap anyways and there are far better resorts along the beach.

Although many complain it is out dated, we enjoyed our stay greatly, staff are very friendly, daily cleaning is done professionally and well, rooms are air-conditioned with remote to change temperature, 2 complementary small bottles of water are given each day
Every few days they give you another bottle of shampoo and body wash, location of hotel is great, close to some great restaurants and walking distance to legian street
Hotel has 3 pools, a small fitness centre of only weights (no working cardio)
Joel Northcott (26/05/2016 06:36)
Nice hotel for people on a budget, a bit outdated but still did the job very well and centrally located in Legian and close to Kuta
Steve Mavin (13/05/2016 04:43)
1st trip to Bali & was impressed with the hotel location & set up. Big pools can be a little hard to find a spot. Food is good. Legian is a great area & this spot on the beach can't be faulted.

Stayed here 5 times now, always feel very relaxed. Will continue to go back to Jayakarta as it feels like home to us. We love it.
David Brien (03/09/2015 03:26)
Overall good, loads of people and kids since there are hundreds of rooms. Nice pools, excellent breakfast, but as touristy as it gets.
