Very good place to stay. We took advantage of the Spa and it was wonderful. Can’t say I felt like a new man but I definitely felt a lot better. The food was good and the cappuccinos hit the spot too. We tried the raspberry mojitos and we very pleased. The pool was always a nice spot to hang out and the water was always cold (a great thing on a hot day). Would definitely stay here again.

There's so many bad things to say about my stay that I wouldn't know where to begin. The management is extremely poor, staff is completely unprepared to deal with complications and the facilities can be considered either a work in progress or to be falling apart. The room I originally prepaid for 10 days turned out to be unavailable, but instead of letting me know sooner rather than later they actually sent me an email about 12 hours before my arrival, which was on xmas eve, aka a time when every decent hotel is fully booked. The 1st room they put me (in a villa separated from the main hotel, which they are currently renovating) had mold everywhere as it had been raining, and the potentially charming open shower turned the bathroom into Venice. The 2nd room was nicer, but there was a daily issue with the shower regarding ridiculous pressure and lack of hot water. They often forgot to replace hand towels and amenities. Breakfast was terrible, box juice and omelette with fake cheese.

Very disappointing stay. Catalogue of things went wrong. We stayed in a pool room which on first inspection looked adequate. But no hot water for 5 days (we only stayed for 6!) Broken fridge, water coming up through floor boards after each time it rained. However, on the positive side. Staff were lovely, spa was very good and good delicious. Would I return? Afraid not.

Very nice staff. Very nice contemporary design decor. Great bed and linen. Some minor maintenance issues here and there, but they're down to the environment/climate and maybe the original architecture/construction, rather than lack of attention. Had a blocked sink drain and it was fixed within minutes of telling the very nice housekeeping staff. The pool access rooms (including the suite) suffer some lack of privacy, as other guests come to use the pool and sunbeds right outside the glass door of your room... but other than that, the overall impression is good. It's a 5 minute walk down the road to the beach, but there's no hotel that's actually on the beach in this area (even the Aston and the Tungu hotels are a few minutes walk, so don't let their photos deceive you). The Batu Belong road that this hotel is on is actually quite a nice balance though, with quite a lot of nice (trendy) boutique shops and restaurants/cafés. It also has the renowned Old Man's restaurant on it, right down next to the beach, which is very lively and has decent music until late every night. Otherwise, the road has a quite nice easy-going vibe, not too quiet and not too busy or touristy (no taxi drivers or other touts hassling you as you walk).

Very good hotel with good food. But DON'T USE THE SPA. The massage was horrible. They have no clue what they are doing. Very friendly people, but very bad massage

It is a small hotel, for me was perfect, no noice, quiet, tranquil and nice...if you want a place like that it is perfect and the restaurant is really good also.

Good hotel. Just need to repair a couple of things and a nice lick of paint

Ants everywhere, barely any water in the shower, and the roof in the restroom has a huge hole in it and makes the restroom cold.
For the price this place is not worth it.

Spent a month there - great place with a friendly, helpful staff - recommended !
Gayle Cash (22/05/2016 03:10)
Stayed here 4 days/3 nights, the location was 5 minutes walk from Echo Beach, plus it was surrounded by the most amazing Warungs. If you are into healthy eating, stay at Canggu, there was such a choice, most meals were $3-$4 AUD, and great Vegan/Vegetarian options. The staff at The Kirana could not have been friendlier, the only drawback was the rooms were a little on the small side & had the usual 'suspect' Bali plumbing. But on a whole brilliant!

A gem nestled in Cenggu. This is not a large property and has for its price point moderately nice rooms. Don't expect 4 or 5 star facilities and the pool is also quite tiny. More of a wade pool than one to swim in.
However, these points aside, the service and the food is exemplary. It is close to the beach and about 30-45 mintues away from Seminyak.

Friendly staff, quite place to relax and very nice food (a bit expensive compared to other local places).
BUT:
awful WiFi which takes aged to load a normal page. Useless to do business.
Be careful with the rooms because you have no privacy (you are able to see others while they have a shower and the other way round).
Rooms are not clean. You can even find stains on the bed...

Lies, Incompetence, Cheats and be careful which room you get...
Have to agree with Mark. Terrible WiFi, But also quoted one fee and charged another.
The website advertises free nights stay but these "free nights" were fictional. We found a price on the internet, Confirmed it with reception and then on checking out were given a higher rate thanks to the, "free rooms" not being provided because "its high season" there is no mention of this on the website, I have screenshots too prove it. Never would have stayed on at the higher rate, better arround.
From the website (today as I type)
"FREE One Night! for minimum 7 nights Pay only 6 nights, Includes return airport transfer and includes choice of 1 x dinner or 1 hour spa for 2"
Do not believe this promotion. you will be charged for the extra night.
On top of the staff lying to us and charging at least US$400 more than we were quoted over 3 seperate screw ups (rates discovered on the second last day) the hotel description is as follows.
Suites - No privacy. They have 3 suites - the pool access is 2 metres from the pool. the opposite rooms look into the suite and shares sunbeds are right outside your room (50cm) - the ocean view suites to see the ocean you must go onto the balcony. Suite 105 would be lucky to see the ocean because the gym is in the way, rooms 101-104 look into suite 105, rooms 201-204 look into suite 205 - we were in 205 and kept our blinds shut.
There are only 4 room I would recommend the deluxe on level 3 and the penthouse. these have privacy and genuine ocean views.
Internet hardly worked our entire stay, We were told that we were along way from the internet which is why it is slow sometimes - complete lie (again) there is a business centre with awesome internet just up the road and the local cafes have decent internet

Very nice staff, good restaurant, good wifi (we had a pool access room), walking distance to the beach, bicycles included and a very nice room.
