Our night spent here was one of, if not the best, of our entire Bali trip! When booking our accommodations all over Bali, we accidentally missed a night and last minute booked Puri Uluwatu and it turned out to be our best choice of the lot! Not only was our room EPIC--Honeymoon Suite in a CASTLE!? What IS this place!?--but we were greeted by a ridiculous handsome Austrian man over a perfect breakfast who offered us to check out as late as we wanted. Unable to leave, we jumped at the chance to relax by their stunning pool, which we had all to ourselves... until... it was swarmed by monkeys!! Tiny babies, teenagers, mommas & poppas, they surrounded the pool in tens, playing in the water and, well, monkeying about! They couldn't have cared less about the two gobsmacked Canadian girls swimming and walking around them and enjoyed their morning at the pool before wondering back down the stairway to the jungle as casually as they first appeared. It was the most memorable moment of the whole trip! After packing up our bags and saying goodbye to one of the most beautiful views I've witnessed, we were greeted by the also handsome owner, Steve, who was so rad, he gladly drove us down the road to our next location. My only complaint about the entire experience was that we were only there for one night! This place is truly magic! Anyone who stays here will feel the same, guaranteed! Thank you to the aforementioned gentlemen as well as the incredible staff who hauled our absurdly over packed suitcases up and down those castle stairwells as well as prepared us an absolutely lovely breakfast and left piles of beautiful flowers in our suite. You all made Uluwatu a favorite spot in our hearts! Much love, light and surf xo

Excellent place to stay in Bali. Very close the world famous Uluwatu surf spot. Owner and staff are professional and friendly.
We asked for a driver for one day (Bili) and he was grest drove us everywhere we wanted to even during the bad Java tourist traffic in December.
Bili's cousin Alik gave us surf lessons and we saw him later near single fin bar while a surf conest was going on.
We spent late December to early January here for 5 days.

This is a family run hotel built by surfers for surfers and their families. Not a chain hotel, not a McHotel.

One of the worst hotels I have ever seen in my life. Shoddy rooms with absolutely no basic amenities. Air-conditioning either not working or of much lesser capacity than what is required. Door bolts are not closing. Nothing to eat nearby. Very far off from the airport. All in all, not worth staying. I would advise people to ignore this hotel.
