Farm to table dining in Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia. Great friendly service, excellent flavoured food. The lightly smoked waygu beef is to die for. Must try when in Bali!

The staff here are extremely friendly and the service was tip top! As for the food, all i can say is that if you are looking for food that exceeds expectations while keeping the wallet intact, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! Owner’s a really nice chap too and has the personal touch of chatting with customers and making sure everything’s alright.
10/10, most definitely coming back when i am in Bali again!

The food is great. It is truly mediterranean cuisine with fine herbs such as coriander. Nice drinks. Friendly staff.

We found this place on tripadvisor after shopping in the area and it held up to the amazing reviews. Great Italian food, very tasty. We also got the potatoes and the Buffalo wings which were very delicious and spicy as well. The staff was very friendly gave us a complementary dessert as a gift for our honeymoon. Thank you Principle Bali!

Good food at reasonable prices. Opt out of the coffee though. There is no air conditioning and gets a bit hot. The service of the staff is good.

My partner and I visited here on 23/01/2018. Our experience was wonderful! The staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. The owner as well is a kind and welcoming man. To add the meals were amazing (the duck is 👌👌). Finding out it was our anniversary, the owner organised a free dessert for us too which tasted divine 😍 definitely recommend 👍

Slow cooked braised beef with creamy mash and mushrooms is amazing. We enjoyed the bruschetta and calamari to start. The crispy skin duck flavour is incredible. The chef came and chatted to us about all the prep they do - this is the type of place worth eating out for as you won’t do all the things they do to get the flavour.

Had truffle pasta, it was still a bit raw, with hard pasta parts. Taste was rather boring. I didn't want a replacement because I wanted to go to a different restaurant instead. When I told that to the waitress she rolled her eyes and walked away. Later she said sorry and I did not have to pay for the pasta. I had a fruit juice too (the one with kiwi), which was really good.
From TripAdvisor #1 Seminyak Italian restaurant I expected much more.

Delicious mix of salads and amazing mains with local produce and house made touches. Perfect for lunch and dinner. We had dinner for just the 2 of us but would also suit larger groups

Had a large family of 13 and the place was well accommodating. Hands down was the best feed i ever had. Cocktales were awesome and the owner lived up to his Canadian reputation of being super friendly.

We found this place by chance, and what a lucky find it was!! Loved everything, super friendly service (thanks Indra), amazing starters, best pasta we had in Asia for a long time , burger, beef, chicken, all amazing! Definitely coming back and please give it a try 👏👏👏

Stumbled across this place whilst walking through Seminyak. The service was absolutely impeccable and attentive. I ordered the honey braised Duck Breast - it came out promptly after complimentary bread served with a house made dip. The food was presented brilliantly and beautifully. The sweetness of the duck wonderfully contrasted with the starchy fried potato balls. I took my first bite and announced to my girlfriend that it was the best food I'd eaten in YEARS. The owner Michael came over to our table and introduced himself; a lovely fellow from Vancouver with a background in 5 star fine-dining. This really shone through in his food and how passionately he spoke about it. The duck was the most well balanced meal I've had in a long long time.
Of course, we returned the next night: we began with some cocktails - which were, of course, fantastic; i proceeded to order the duck again whilst my girlfriend chose to order the Waygu beef; which, incredibly, was just as impressive as the duck. Again we get chatting with Michael we chatabout my fear of flying, he starts to tell me about a pill I should take whilst flying and quietly walks across the road: I go back to enjoying my meal and to my surprise he's slapped the pills at the end of the table. There's great service and then there's Principle. On a complete other echelon than everything else I tried in Bali. I preferred it to a lavish meal I had at KuDeTa which is saying a lot.
Do yourselves a favour and visit Principle get the duck breast and have a wonderful, wonderful evening. Cheers Michael will definetly be seeing you again.
