Hotel is very good, clean and tidy. The staff speak very good English and are polite and helpful. Good choice of restaurants and the on-site Cafe is excellent.
Suggestions- can the rooms have mugs and ashtrays provided in the cupboards.
Also can there be short session provided so that guests can learn basic Indonesian?

The whole experience. My first trip to Bali and so very happy I chose to stay at the Novotel Nusa Dua. The hotel room is very well appointed, spacious and surrounded by lush gardens. The highlight of my stay is the staff who are friendly, gracious and greet you with a warm welcome and will do all they can to make your stay the best for you.

One of the best place to enjoy luxurious stay. Their private beach(Beach club) worth a visit.
If you happens to be a couple then go for the beach side candle light romantic dinner and if you'll choose Friday then you might enjoy personal music for some fantastic couple dance.

We stayed here as part of a wedding group so I didn’t do any research - it was just where everyone was staying. We have never stayed in Nusa Dua before. I am not used to staying in such large, sprawling resorts and I don’t think this hotel is good value. We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was spacious but there were only two glasses provided in the kitchen so if you wanted to mix a drink it was a wine goblet or tea cup to choose from. As first time guests at other good hotels we have usually been offered some discounts and offers to entice us to make use of the facilities. Not here. I was annoyed about the card for towel rental system because if you leave the card in your room you can’t rent a towel and have to go back to your room to get it. There wasn’t really anything bad here - I just didn’t think it was a great experience for the money.

Novatel is a spectacular hotel with a beautiful restaurant and room it’s an overall 10/10

Lovely place. But balconies are unsafe for little ones. Our nearly 2 year old fits through rails easily. Tragedy waiting to happen from 3rd floor. Staff weren’t very accommodating when trying to change rooms to ground level.

My wife and I stayed here from March 28 to April 3, 2018. Located in the ITDC complex in Nusa Dua, it is a quiet clean setting for family vacations. Breakfasts are satisfactory, although the single coffee machine is often crowded. Cleaning of rooms can be improved. Linen is often old and worn. Bedroom cushions slide and unsuited for relaxing. A la carte service is poor. Lobby staff not familiar with shuttle services. Shuttle vans to beach are small and often crowded.

Best baby moon! Got the best suite facing the pool. Breakfast was are and had some "cute little friends" (re: squirrels and birds) visiting us.

Great place to stay for families. Nice and quiet. Amazing pool and gardens. Great breakfast. Beautiful helpful staff.
Michael Wong (10/11/2017 02:44)
The 1 bedroom is quite large, however the rooms air-conditioning was stuck at 25 which is too hot. Tech guys came and said that 21 is standard but the room temp does go below 25. Not very comfortable. Not only that the internet was faulty at arrival, was told that they have to replace the hardware which will be done tomorrow.
Update: they were quick to resolve all issues and quite happy with how polite all the people involved. However I could of liked the room a little colder.
One negative is the buffet dinner, we went to have a buffet at the restaurant near the pool and it was not worth it as the re were a lot more sauces than food selection.
But luckily found a place a few minutes walk from the hotel who make a mean nasi goreng ayam for a fraction of the cost of a buffet.
One the plus side, buffet breakfast was quite good.
Overall, the stay was very pleasant and has a shuttle to the beach every 15 minutes and to Bali Collection (shopping) every hour. Though both is a 10 minute walk.
nanang widyanarko (01/11/2017 00:37)
Located inside Nusa Dua area, this hotel offers a maximum value of leisure, away of busy days. Natural view surrounding the room is an ultimate, shuttle service is available to beach and Bali Collection for those who desires outdoor whereabouts. If you are smokers the the balcony is where you can release the fog.
My comment will be on the Suite room I stayed. Iron was leaking, and the cord was not long enough to reach the wall outlet. Not such a big deal but annoying for preparing your neat clothes for the day.
Adeel Khalid (22/10/2017 20:53)
Good for families with kids. Too commercial for my taste. Buffet breakfast is nice.

Great Rooms. I had a two bedroom apartment with our own pool. Food is OK, and resort priced. Nusa Dua is a great location for a resort experience, but isolated from the attractions in the North.
Stephen Glanz (31/08/2017 01:07)
We visit this place once a year - great place to stay and great facilities. I will say the food is good - not like some places up the beach (just a a cheap taxi trip for special times together) you can get board with the food in the restaurant but I love this place as the local village is just a short walk with a variety of good local food.
Kids - great for kids as there is a stuff for them to do, pool is a good size and well kept.
Ladies, from my wife's experience the treatments are great and well priced. Will be going again soon. In fact my wife has just come back a week ago.
Rooms are big and well maintained - A relaxing place.
I am a hard critic so a 5 is hard to get.
Vero Nica (21/08/2017 12:48)
I love it there. Honeymoon with beloved. Wonderful. Bali is lay back heaven.
Mrinal Tiwari (04/08/2017 11:17)
Good resort but beach is a short 5 min shuttle ride away.
As this is not very apparent online reducing a star.
Great pool and property otherwise.
Hindus need to be careful of what they order as the resort has a lot of Beef dishes.
Herryto Tjia (01/07/2017 05:09)
It is an integrated family resort located at the quieter part of bali yet not very far from the busy part of bali. It give you flexibility to choose your vacation style

This is my second stay at Novotel Nusa Dua. Nusa Dua is a nice neighborhood when staying in Bali, they got excellent beaches, and not to crowded as Kuta or Seminyak. And all the tourist sites in Bali is easily reachable by car.
The hotel got large swimming pools, great breakfast, kids club, and green surroundings, everything you need to have from a hotel in a tropical paradise.
I currently stay in a one bedroom apartment, and it's a beautiful, spacious room. Although at this rate, I kinda expect for a bath tub, but it's still ok.
H Dahlan (14/06/2017 17:21)
Nice ambience hotel with a lot of greenery. The breakfast also superb! Rich in options, western and local. Hotel Located in Nusadua area, a super nice environment for staying, jogging and sight seeing.

Until i found another resort i would consider this is my favorite. Have an improvement on beach club. But have bad service this week. And they seem not recognize me. Btw this is my 3rd vacation in row for last 3 years. Other resort keep remember btw. Perhaps next visit will be better.
Ayom Rahwana (28/04/2017 10:18)
The property is good, room is excelent. Reception staff is very kind and friendly and helpful. Resto and bar is good and nice, but pool staff is very bad, not helpful. The pool is ok, but it will be better if they have a helpful staff there.

Nice ambient...good food..the hospitality was good,,,my family spent 2 nights on march ...but the toilet door on my room is broken (there's an AC outdoor fan on the outside of the door)..and cannot be Locked,, but it's OK because we are on the 2nd floor hope it will be fix..

My wife and I arrived at the Novotel around midnight before Nyepi day (day of silence). Unsure what to expect we confined to the hotel for the day but we weren't disappointed. Food, pool and drinks what more could you ask for when you spend your first night in Bali. Staff were very kind and friends, majority spoke English quite well. Our room was nice, clean and beds were comfy. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Novotel Nusa Dua.

Been owning a 2 bedroom penthouse, probably the best in the complex, since several years. Great investment and time. Now time to move on to other investment priorities so waiting for next opportunity to pass the residence on to others to enjoy. Let me know if I can assist

A great, family oriented resort. The property is older but in pretty good shape. The food is adequate but overall, the service is very good.
Ariston Ramos (03/01/2017 05:37)
Great for family vacations. The hotel has rooms with a small private pool as well as a larger public pool. While it is not beachside a frequent shuttle is available to bring you to the beach in around 10 minutes. There is also a wide selection of food for breakfast.
robert akerman (27/12/2016 09:21)
Very good for kids and relaxing. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Having real coffee shop only steps away was a bliss, for a aussi coffeeholic!!!
The day spa was the best i have been too, which took me too another world.
Wilson Pariangan (07/12/2016 13:05)
Cozy... i would say garden hotel.. green. I would give 5 stars if it is by the beach.. but they have private beach with free shuttle car to reach it...
Alona Church (08/11/2016 23:14)
Absolutely beautifully manicured grounds. Fantastic staff, the most amazing recreation team that are a must to get to know, Great kids club. This was my first time in Bali and would most definitely go back there. I didn't have any children with me but watched the joy in all the other children that visited with their families. Also own private beach club.

I stayed here for 3 nights arriving on a Sunday but had arranged for a driver and for 2 and a half days I spent most of my time out of the hotel. Bear in mind that this is more than one Novotel hotel in Bali — the other one is in Benoa.
But what little can I say about this hotel? It is in a really good location — very near to the main international airport Ngurah Rai international airport. The Bali Mandara toll road has proved a wonderful addition to the Bali infrastructure since it was completed in September 2013. It cuts the journey time between the airport and the resort area of Nusa Dua by half if not more – a journey that sometimes could take more than an hour at rush hour, now only takes about 15mins.
As I don’t have much to say about the hotel, I will pretend I have a lot more to add by describing some of the surroundings. If you are staying in the Novotel or any of the hotels in the Nusa Dua complex, you will find that it is pretty secure. At the entrance to the hotel complex is security and there is also security for each separate hotel. That does make it feel more secure, but as with anything, it’s only as good as the weakest link; which is pretty obvious when you first exit leave the complex. There are security at the entrance but not at the exit of the complex — strange if you ask me.
You can easily travel between all the hotels. One way to do this is to use the Bali Collection shuttle service which goes between a whole number of the resorts in the area. But what on earth is the Bali Collection? It is basically a mix of shopping and eating in the Nusa Dua complex. Typically it targets the more upmarket clientele (or should I say more wealthy) as it is situated in the heart of the Nusa Dua complex. It also has many restaurants with many varieties of food – not just local but also from other areas of the world.
Well, back to the hotel – what else can I say? Firstly, the staff were unfailing pleasant. Almost every time I saw one they would greet you with a smile. Didn’t matter if you were going to reception, having breakfast, or just wandering around the rest of the hotel.
I stayed in what they describe as a Deluxe Room, which is somewhat of a laugh as this was the bottom in their hierarchy of room standards. There were bathrobes and slippers – very important as I was coming back from long days out and the floors might have been a bit dirty. Of course they had the normal amenities like mini bar, coffee/tea &kettle, TV, iron & ironing board, hair dryer and safe. Also there was decent wifi if a bit unreliable.
The main issue with the room was actually the shower. It takes a bit of working out but ultimately you can figure out how to use the hand shower and the rainforest showers. Unfortunately that is not the only complication. It is also difficult to get the hot water to work – it is not exactly clear what needs to be done to get it to be hot. In fact I had been busy dashing in and out of the hotel during my trip that I was unable to really look into working it out until the final night.
The Novotel is not situated on the beach. However, there is a shuttle to the hotel’s beach only a couple of minutes away. My only complaint is that track there was a bit bumpy. I’m sure it wouldn’t cost much to get it properly paved. The beach is called private by the hotel but it isn’t really completely private. What they mean is that there is a section of it which is for hotel guests – where they have set up sun loungers, a bar and a counter for water activities.
The pool was pretty nice, but a word of warning. When the sun is out, the tiles get really really hot! You will need to dash from your chair to the water. I didn’t get a chance to lie by the pool until my last day there as my flight was delayed, but I certainly made the most of it!!
I spent the morning at the beach and then came to lie by the pool in the afternoon — of course despite all the sunblock and lotion I put on, I still ended up a bit burnt.

The Good
1. Rooms are huge and comfotable. Balcony, thub, many pillows and bed
2. Complete amenities. Pool is nice!
3. Staff are accomodating
4. Lots of birds chirping. Music to the ears for a relaxing day.
The Bad
1. Too many flies and mosqito. I swear you have to control these pests... when you eat there are like 10 or more flies disturbing you. And while lounging at the pool there are lots of mosquitos biting you.
2. Landscaping is far behind... the grass and plants are not groomed anymore making the hotel look subpar
3. Lacks cleanliness in over all surrounding. I see lots of dead leaves everywhere and nobody seems in charge to tidy up the hotel.
Something is wrong with the management of thr hotel for sure. It is not giving a 100% capacity
Stayed December 2015, traveled with family
Firdaus Farliawan (09/04/2016 02:00)
The room is very comfortable. The facilities and the environment are great, supported by nice staff. The private beach is lovely, beautiful and clean. But the service of blue bar and the square restaurant is very slow. my wife and I had lunch there 2 times, and it took about 30 minutes for them to serve our orders completely. Moreover, we don't really fit the taste of the foods. it's kind of tasteless for us (as Indonesian). But overall, we had a good time staying at novotel nusa dua bali.
