While holidaying in Bali my husband and myself visited Dr Liem for treatments i have had acute sinus problems for almost three years i have tried every medication possible and nothing had helped and after two treatments Dr Liem has helped me only wish that we found him sooner for more treatments will definitely return to Dr Liem next time we are in Bali he was lovely kind understanding man he explained everything very well and speaks very good english thankyou Dr Liem

Acupuncture in Bali (August 2017)

Bali has some very skilled Acupuncture doctors. I went to Dr. Liem who convinced me already after my first visit. He didn't only treat me well, he could also explain in very good English what he was going to do, this and that, how this might impact me, and next time answering my questions. Sometimes I felt like a curious acupuncture student who just turned the first pages reading about these ancient medical theories...
(1st visit) I told Dr. Liem that I have bad stomach since I was 15 years old, and problem with my knees since 3-4 years ago. I lay down and he put a lot of needles on my body and a heating lamp 50cm (20 inches) above my stomach and I should maintain that position for 20 minutes. After a very short while could I feel the worst smell coming out of my mouth, and it became very dry. This smell was the worst I smelled from my mouth in my whole life! It was like you have a leather bag with something rotten that has been there for years zipping out.This smell continued during the whole visit.
The result with my knees was that I could fold them without any feeling of pain.
=> Both of this convinced me...
(2nd visit) This time did I feel that the treatment was much stronger. I really felt it inside my body. However the smell that came out from my mouth was much less. My Dr. said that the energy streams in my body was more focused and more synchronized after the first treatment. For example he said there was a better balance between my stomach and my kidneys now. Before there was like a "struggle" between them, which affected my body. (He didn't know that had serious problem twice with kidney stones, first when working in Brazil and second time in March this year in Dubai).
He also said that my energy streams would be even better focused on my next treatment, so he would be able to enter the needles even more precise.
(3rd visit) I asked for help to take photos and a short video when my Dr. put his needles into my body.
I later talked to a Canadian man and his wife about my acupuncture experiences. He had used acupuncture in his home country since he was 16, and he was surprised watching the video as my Dr. put the needles with that speed and without measuring where to put them as his acupuncturists used to do. He also mentioned that Canadian acupuncturists used to go to Bali learning acupuncture.
I explained to my home stay owner about Dr. Liem the treatment and the price, as he himself used to recommend his tourists to go certain acupuncturists. He said that the price I paid wasn't overpriced, instead it was the same as would cost for a local. The only disadvantage was that the location was a little far away from his home stay.
(4th visit) Now I told my doctor what the Canadian said about acupuncture students going to Bali. He said, he used to receive students from different countries as France, Germany, etc. and that there are many wanting to come. But he doesn't accept everyone who wants to pay for studies and come. As he put a lot into the philosophical way of thinking of those who will be his students.
I added another thing that I would like to get treated, Doctor said yes ... and I wasn't surprised when I afterwards noticed a big difference. As my doctor said, the energy streams are focused and in balance and it's more easy to make complementary treatment...
As I said to Dr. Liem, I will visit him next time when I come back to Bali.
=> What I written are my own experiences and I wanted to do this since the 1970s, but I never did. I checked acupuncturists in Japan, China, Taiwan; but I never dared as I'm very eager to know what he does. I want explanations, and that was what I got here.

After weeks of not being able to walk properly due to bad knee, 20 mins with Tony and my hubby was a new man. He had limped around Bali for 2 weeks in pain and what a remarkable result. So cheap as well. Highly recommended.

I experienced such horribly painful twisted back when I woke up one morning in Bali. Luckily I found such a qualified skilful accupuncturist who successfully cured my horid back pain. I felt I was overcharged so three days after I went there I asked a local to find out the price. It was 1/2. It's not good to charge double to tourists and white people. It's racist.

Excelent Acupuncturist...I just briefly explained he my espondoliolystesis problem and sciatic pain...he understood clearly and immediately put his needles on me!! For an assured relief!! Great work Dr.Liam!

It's works.....after 5 session acupuncture my insomnia was gone.....felt much better now...thanks dr Liem

Tony is jones tlp a master Of HIS Art. My L4/L5 lain was better after 3 sessions with him. Obviously acupuncture is pain control And relief so the patient has to work on the causes of the pain as well. But Tony Liem rally knows how to treat the symptoms, go I highly recommend it.

Saya sakit otot punggung sampai kaki.
Untuk berjalan terasa sakit dan kaki kiri kanan kesemutan.
Saya bawa ke Liem akupuntur sekarang saya sudah sehat.
