I laughed a lot reading those comments down there from the owner of this gym, he said most of Indonesian earned in average like 300usd which is 1/10 of western salaries. And he even said check the fact first.

Hahaha. My question: which part of western countries exactly did you talk about? 1/10? Have you checked the whole western countries? I've been to 30+ countries and found your comment was super ridiculous.

I understand the price difference between locals and foreigners due to wage disparity. The only problem is that cost of this gym is usually three to four times more then they would pay at home. It is not affordable for the average foreigner. Not all of us have a lot of money.

Here are some of the reasons I advise avoiding Hammerhead:
- it's expensive. 900,000 per month is three times what I pay in Canada at the YMCA in Victoria.
- the AC is insufficient. You'll sweat quick doing anything. It's quite warm.
- it's small. No pool or sports courts. Usually crowded.
- there's a deposit on the towels. Wouldn't be an issue except it was annoying to lose my deposit because they didn't mark it down.

It's not a one star gym - the location and amount of gym equipment keep it at a solid two. But you can do much better.

Good gym. Great equipment. Just a little hot.

Been a member for almost 2 years, complete equipment, clean, huge place with many training options, friendly instructors, nice staff. I've tried some places in Bali, but in the end i'm back to hammerhead again.

They literally have two price lists: for locals that is being hidden and for foreigners. Foreigner prices are 3 times higher. That is a Nazi move. And I will never ever come close to this place again.

** And about my "ignorance", check out any another gym in Bali, the price for everybody is the same as your "discount for locals", stop being sneaky. It's not discount for locals, it is normal market price. You just rip off foreigners, pretending to be a hero **

This place is really basic, too packed and crowded with female bule (foreigners) hunter. And if you are not white ppl, they will obviously disrespect you for no reasons. I was waiting for half hour only to get information how to be a member yet the female receptionists kept ignoring me and told me yes they were busy while they chatting to each others especially the short pale one. Lockers are not locked so while you doing your workout probably gonna be worries of your possessions. Again, you need to be really patience of waiting the next turn to use equipments. But if you only wanna find something basic this is the right place.

I love this place. Very professional equipment, flexible price and good vibe :)

Great gym for Indonesia. Not much space and a bit crowded, but they have everything you need, including two squat racks.

Bvox C (09/09/2017 06:38)
Excellent place to gym for a week in Bali, they have one entrance paying for 50k for local. Equipments are quite a lot. Recommended

Stefan Block (24/06/2017 04:33)
Lots of equipment in a small space but can get crowded. Good vibe and very clean.

Luke Runky-Bird (17/04/2017 13:00)
Wow one of the most expensive over heated over crowded gyms in the world. I stupidly got a membership I barely used as it was so painful to go there. Jammed with equipment with hoards of people who do not train hard - who can blame them it is on the top floor of a oven box concrete building and although they have aircon they also open windows - makes sense right. Before u even start exercising you will be dripping with sweat. I can assure u I am not precious but this place will test Ur limits on just how dedicated u are.

very organised gym . If you are serious about your workout or are professional fitness personne this gym is good for you!! the Gym is small but complete in terms of gym equipment. The only down side is you will definitely sweat as it super hot in there . Almost forgot they do have showers and it will be 90k for foreigners. Do get uber to get there ,is it the cheapest and most reliable option.

Frans Kunmaryoso (25/02/2017 21:38)
Very complete. Good vibe. Very friendly staff. Affordable nonmember fee: only 50 K IdR for local guests

Jorge Alberto Babadopulos Jr (15/01/2017 03:18)
The gym has everything you need for a good workout. Best for experienced trainers who knows what to do. Don't set hight expectations from good looking perspective as this is a very simple but do the job kind of place.

Maximilian Mende (11/12/2016 05:43)
I like that gym very much! You have all important Opportunities to train your Body. The room could be a little bit colder but everything else is perfect! Thank you!

Great gym, just about all the stuff. Good atmosphere, no nonsense. Showers, water and refill. Nice and hot in the gym with some cold air to stand under if you need it. Couple of squat racks, a torsinator, going back for more.

Love this gym. I come here every time I'm in Seminyak.
90k per day visit which is fair, I go at least 5 times in the week.
It's a clean gym and I go when it's busy around 7am, but there's enough equipment/weights to get your workout done.
I only use the weights when I'm there and love the variety.
Great to get in and get a sweat up and get out to enjoy the rest of the day in the pool.

Kevin G (14/09/2016 00:57)
This is a nice gym. Has everything you need. The price is ok but the best opting is to become a member. There are no more off peak discounts.

The staff are helpful and friendly.

Good to see the signs up around the gym about using your phone's on equipment. Unfortunately this is not "policed". I have never seen phone use like it anywhere, so so painful.

1.Get rid of you Wi-Fi if you want to stop people using their phone.
2. Ban phones on the gym floor just like golf courses do.

Also I would feel so much better if where was security checking bags at the very bottom of the stairs. Would cost so little money and make people feel safe.

Overall the gym is good but BAN the use of phones. It's a gym not a bar surely everyone can cope with no phone for a few hours.

Great range of equipment, machines and free weights of the highest order . Friendly staff , could not complain about anything cant wait for my next session.

Ryan Tan (30/05/2016 18:45)
My go-to gym when I'm in Bali. Enough range of machines and free weights for serious gymmers too.
Just don't go during 6-8pm when they have aerobics class at the stretching corner. The gym can get unbearably hot during this period.
I always get the 1-time visit pass. And its has increased from 80k to 90k rupiah now. Towel can be loan for 10k rupiah.

Nicolas Crummey (06/05/2016 12:18)
Cool gym. Good vibe. Protein shakes available from front desk. Little bit busy but that added to the atmosphere. Will be going back all this week

GlobalDocuments (24/04/2016 00:35)
Good gym equipment and good vibe. Like the freshly protein shakes afterwards. After reading the earlier comments I believe foreigners should pay more. You need to look after the locals with a better price. Cyrus

Normil Gagarin (26/12/2015 16:56)
Read a lot of other reviews by other users stating mostly about its price difference between local and non-local but I really understand why. I tried the one day pass today (80K rupiah) and I think it's very cheap. Towel is provided but there's a 20K rph deposit required. Equipments are good and working well, staffs are not rude in any way towards me, and I had a good experience there. Will definitely drop by again on my next vacation in Bali!

Sohail Salehi (12/03/2015 03:43)
I believe honesty is the key for a successful business and today I just found you don't have it. You have the right to set the price for locals and non-locals the way you like.
But at least you need to have the decency to honor your words.
I checked the website this morning before going to Gym for one month membership. It says:
FULL MEMBERSHIP
One Time Entry Fee: 175,000
Monthly Fee: Men 290,000 Women 220,000

When I got there, the ladies show me a price written on a piece of paper saying I have to pay 750,000

I politely asked them to check the website because this is wrong.
And they rudely ignore my request and shook the paper in my face telling me it is what it is.
Wow! Great customer service guys!
Good luck with your business.

P.S. would rate it as zero stars if there was an option for it
