Always my most favorite place in Nusa Dua. I love every detail of the garden. Perfect landscape. The room is spacious. Breakfast is variously delicious. The Japanese restaurant is must try. Service is just like any 5 star. Worth the price.

Nice place. Gardens well kept. Staff seem to be maintaining this aging property well. Rooms spacious, staff very pleasant and helpful. Bali Collection a few mins walk away which is much cheaper and has more variety for meals. Pools clean. The resort feels somewhat empty due to its size which is a nice feeling.

The staff at The Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua were exemplary, always trying to make sure we were satisfied, very attentive to our needs and grateful for our patronage.
Our breakfasts and some dinners were included in a package that we purchased and we thought for our tastes absolutely delicious.
Our only complaint was there was a huge function on the lawn very close to our apartment (and many other apartments) that had extremely loud music which went on for about 6 hours. Other nearby resorts also had very loud music and parties that were hard to block out.
The upside to this is we went to Uluwatu and watched the sunset.
The beach in front of the Grand Hyatt is absolutely stunning except for the horrendous amount of plastic that washes up with the tide and is cleaned away each day.

Had stayed here a couple of times over the years and you start to notice some things seems to be somewhat dated. Service standard seemed to have dropped a little on arrival but the landscape is still as good and that made everything well on arrival. Rooms are feeling a little dated as well what with the rustic furnishings and decor, and rough sheets in my opinion. Still they are big enough for a family for 4 with a permanent daybed on the side, and cool balcony overlooking the seaside or gardens depending on on your choice. Breakfast is somewhat limited in choices and would have hope for more variety. The hotel has one of the longest stretch of beach which makes its a really nice place for families or couple time, and pools which are spread out. The estate size is just huge. You can get lost in the compound. Overall I would still consider staying here again when prices are affordable.

Excellent Hotel, All Modern amenities, you have everything from Business to Leisure trip.
Staff all across are very courteous, helpful and charming.
Spread out layout, full of Greenery and Sea Beach makes it more attractive for across the Age Group.
Since the property is huge at times you face Maintenance hick ups. And Management need to look at this.
I wish to visit the place again.

As you'd expect the start are amazing and friendly, facilities are superb and it pretty much has everything you'd need. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because when I stayed there the beach had a lot of plastics on it, either from the sea or people bathing. Probably not the grand Hyatt's fault but it's a bit off-putting

The property is nice. The grounds are well kept and the view from the lobby of the ocean is beautiful. In the evening - the lanterns and dim lighting creates a very romantic/mysterious setting. Our room was large and could easily hold comfortably a family of 4. However, the room did show its age and that impacted our stay slightly.

Dear Grand Hyatt, the beach is public. Why is a Sumba security dude telling the beach is yours and try to chase us away. Do you have a certificate of the beach and ocean?
Fair enough you are beach front and you providing chairs for your guests. We are not sitting near your guest but under a deserted tree in the shade where there is totally nobody.
The borders of your complex are clear to us, but the beach/ocean?
Thank you for your warm hospitality on the Bali beach.
Have a nice day. Ivan

Older resort but it still has the 'wow' factor. The gardens, water lily ponds and swimming pools are world class and the beach is rubbish free. Staff were fantastic and there were no problems with the many restaurants on-site. Try the Kriya spa for a reasonably priced professional massage.

The beach here is absolutely spectacular. It’s a wide stretch of sand, clear waters and looks out into the horizon - completely unblocked. The current isn’t too strong so it’s great for a swim and there are plenty of deck chairs. For a quieter spot, head to the south side, away from the pool area. The rooms are a little dated but it’s clean and spacious. The resort grounds are huge and very lovely, lots of lush greenery and very well kept. The only downside for me for the food - very average and expensive. But you can get a wide selection of good food just outside the resort complex around Nusa Dua and just up Tanjong Benoa. I would recommend renting a bike to get around for meals. Or you can just walk across to Bali Collection (but it’s very touristy).
Daniel Kolvik (10/03/2018 04:49)
The resort is big (around 650 rooms) and quite spread out. This means you can end up with a room quite a bit from pool, lobby and beach areas.
The room was nice, although it's coming to an age where it’s time for a fresh up.
Restaurants were good and service great.
Don't miss the gym with squash, yoga and class room. It also has its own smaller, but quite pool like in a hidden oasis. Recommended to just go there to just relax for yourself for a while.
Don't miss the nice big buffee dinner with the dance show they have in their amphie-like theatre.
Derrick Lee (08/02/2018 05:53)
The resort is in a very large piece of ground. Walking from one end to the other will take you more than 15mins. The staffs are very friendly and always smiling. The landscape is full of ponds and beautifully manicured plants. Very near to the beach too. Big rooms with that also come with a queen size day bed. Nice and relaxing.
sudhanva kulkarni (15/10/2017 04:34)
Joining two small beds doesn't make it a king size bed... Huge but dated rooms with many things not working ... Inefficient AC .. Lots of ants all over the room and on the bed, also some lizards. Huge resort on a beautiful Nusa Dua beach.. most of the staff are courteous. Not the quality of service expected from Hyatt.. would try some other resort next time ...

Great place for family and kids. Away from the hustle bustle and having everything for a family vacation. Nicely located next to a large mall having multiple options for shopping and eating out. The property is a bit old but the staff is amazingly caring.

We had a great stay at the Grand Hyatt. The pool is tons of fun with a large water slide and a smaller one we were able to use with our toddler. The beach was great with plenty of chairs under relaxing trees. The rooms themselves are large, spacious and clean. The hyatt is probably not the newest but it is well maintained. The breakfast buffet was a decent selection. The hotel is also conveniently located across the street from the Bali collection which has pharmacies, food, and tourist shopping if you desire it. Loved this hotel

If I could stay here for a month, I would. The resort is beautiful and right in front of a really nice beach. The staff is extremely welcoming and amicable. There are many good food choices on-site and live performance/music every night.

Bad services.
Not the five stars service I expect from usual five star hotels.
We had to change rooms several times as the rooms that we were allocated to, had faulty doors and toilet, the room itself smelt as if it has not been vacuumed for long period of time. It was dusty.
The secons room we had the same dust problem but after waiting for hours for the housekeeper to arrive, we finally got the room less dirty.
And one thing my husband and I were disappointed in was suddenly hotel staff came in to our room without knocking the door first! And it happened twice.
And several times we got a wrong room call.
We think, we wouldn't come back again to Hyatt Bali.

An amazing hotel that I would recommend to everyone. The staff are super friendly, the grounds are immaculate and there are so many pools. We will definitely be back!

Spent 2 weeks here. Service, pool area and breakfast are really good. Food and drinks were over priced as usual. Rooms are a bit dated. Overall hotel area and garden are fantastic. We had a really relaxing time here.
Ayush Agrawal (30/06/2017 13:03)
The location is good if you want only beach and resort experience, but it's very far from the main market or local Balinese visiting places. The rooms are big but the furniture is old. Same goes for the appliances they provide. The bed was even making creaky sound when you sit on it. The bathrooms were good. Overall it is not value for money. The services provided are not up to the 5 star standard except for when you just enter the hotel/resort. The breakfast was good but still not to the standards of a 5 star, we had a better experience in a 4 star hotel. The Italian restaurant served us a little burned pizza. Even we have to ask for the plates, this was not at all upto the standard. You might feel that these are small things, but when you add them up and compare it to the money you spend and the expectations you have, this was a poor experience. The beach on the hotel was superb, but yeah all the beaches of all the hotels/resorts are connected so anyone can enjoy this beach. Hope it helps!
Henry Lo (28/06/2017 12:00)
Huge resort hotel. Access to the beach and plenty of greenery. Many restaurants and even a few shops selling local and branded clothings/beach wear. Rooms are big but looks dated.
Alan Karyono (28/06/2017 11:31)
Very nice hotel. Even though it is an old hotel, they maintained the facilities quite well. Pools are very nice, staffs are great, gardens and surroundings are great. Huge hotel, and it takes time to go to lobby if your room is on the far sides of the hotel. The only suggestion is the variety of breakfast, which can be improved for selections to compete with the other 5 star hotels.
Saurabh Joshi (12/06/2017 13:04)
It's a good hotel. Rooms interiors are old. Great pool. Nice breakfast.

I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by how your manager Soma treated me last night. After 2+ weeks traveling around your beautiful country I was very much looking forward to ending my stay at your property. What a horrible mistake. Following check in I was taken all the way across the property only to find out that the room was not the ocean view that I booked. When I went back the front desk person told me to go to the end of the balcony and peek my head around and I would be able to see the ocean. He then told me there were rooms available with twin beds but not the king ocean view I reserved. At no time was any accommodation or apology made to me for the inconvenience.
After I requested proof of the cancellation to reconcile with my bank I was told lie after lie by the front desk. When I requested to speak to the manager it took 30 minutes and when he did arrive he was on his mobile really not interested in anything I had to say. First I was told they would not be able to give me proof of cancellation until the next day. Then the story changed and I was told my card was really not charged.
I can see from your reviews on Tripadvisor that I am not the only guest that has been lied to about room availability. I suggest if you want to stay in business that your team and managers learn how to treat each and every customer with respect. Your manager Soma should be fired for speaking and treating anyone the way he treated me. I will never forget how poorly I was treated by the Grand Hyatt Bali.

Rating this hotel a 5 star hotel it means you don't know what is 5-stars!!! I will start with the positive note: the gardens, the beach and the pool! These are great. If this is the only important thing for you choose this place. Also the kids club is fine. Since our arrival at 12 our room wasn't ready. We told right away to prepare the extra bed as we are 3. Meanwhile we went to the pool. When we went finally to the room the extra bed wasn't prepared. At 6 we passed by the lobby to tell them again. Left the hotel and came back at 9,45pm still the bed wasn't done. We had to call twice to get it finally done at 10,30pm. We opened one fruit before leaving the room at 6, when we returned we found the table full of ants. The rooms are old, there is no wardrobe where to put your stuff.
The real positive thing of the room is the comfortable bed.
The breakfast: it is held in salsa verde and of course there is not enough place for all. So we were put to eat outside and even if shaded it was hot!!! Food is poor. It is great for those hords of Chinese who are around the hotel. There is no variety enough. We were so hot and sticky that between the heat and the average poor food we were fast to go.
We realized why normally we don't stay at Grand Hyatt hotels. This was only a last minute change due to an inconvenience. Never again!

Very nice hotel. Super spacious. Great restaurants. The exec lounge is pretty nice. Just that it is only outdoor. The hotel is right next to The Bali Collection where you can walk around and see more local stuff. I will go back.

Amazing hotel! Rooms were really big, clean and comfy. The pool was gigantic with waterslide. Really good and complete breakfast.
Khabib Mustofa (29/01/2017 12:43)
The hotel provides quite excellent services, from entering the lobby gate for check in till we leave the gate when checking out. The surrounding is green, with large area of pool covered with blooming lotus. Semi-private beach dedicated for guests is available in the back yard, close to the restaurant
Seb Andraos (09/01/2017 09:38)
Fronting an immaculate beach with white sand, turquoise sea and decent surf we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt Bali. There are a number of restaurants to choose from within the grounds and ample alternatives within a few minutes walk at the Bali Collection or along the beach. The hotel has a number of pools, all of which are family friendly bar that in the gym which is reserved for over 16s only. The gym itself is 24h with classes throughout the day and squash courts as well as a spa. The staff were, on the whole, extremely friendly and happy to help wherever they could.
Florencia Balori (08/01/2017 10:29)
I would choose this hotel over and over just for the luscious common areas, gardens and pools. It probably has the best beach in all of Bali based on my experience. I agree with other comments on room quality: mine was dark and the bathroom sink's tap was way too far from the sink so the water fell out of the sink. Absolutely take a metered taxi wherever you go from the hotel and do rely on Bali collection for shopping and eating. The Balinese dance show is outstanding, don't miss it!

Visited this place twice, this year and two years before. Great hospitality. Great view, direct access to beach. You can enjoy a lot of activities here. Great food. If you're too lazy to get out you can go to nampu Japanese restaurant or any other restaurant here. You can also bring baby, toddler and kids here. There's a special building for kids to play here. Totally satisfied
Mark McDonald (23/09/2016 16:33)
Single room with two beds had a single bed tucked into an alcove (perfect for a child or solo adult) and a king bed. The cot we asked for was great, high quality and a good brand. Hotel staff are excellent. Only negative is that everything within the complex is very expensive, compared with other hospitality on the island and even in Australia. e.g. a jug of Bintang cost around 47% more than a jug of an Australian craft brew in Sydney.
Isabella Vadassery (19/09/2016 11:59)
Serene, lovely, great place to relax.. You can enjoy authentic Balinese cuisine! 🍹
LL P (10/09/2016 02:55)
Engulfed in tranquillity the minute you arrived at the hotel. Exotic soothing Indonesian gamelan music and meticulously manicured landscape. Staff are helpful and courteous. Direct access to private beach is a plus. A quiet and relaxing place if you want to be in Bali but away from the tourist crowd.
John Tai (03/09/2016 11:41)
Great luxury resort with excellent facilities. 3 restaurants, gym, 2 pools, massages, multiple bars, shopping, etc are all available. Prices are completely over the top though. Use metered/negotiated taxis as opposed to the hotel transfers and try venturing out to Bali collection for supplies, souvenirs, massages, and food for example.
Putra Antara (19/08/2016 09:09)
Huge hotel area, you could easily get lost at night travelling inside the hotel complex. It's a very big resort hotel with aging room and facilities. The staffs are mostly friendly and helpful. Rooms are adequately maintained.
Allen Widjaja (05/06/2016 18:34)
It's a nice resort hotel in the Nusa Dua Bali. This hotel has a Balinese-style design that most newer hotels don't have in Bali. The hotel's main pool has water slide and has been a favorite for children or adults who swim in the main pool. I would recommend people to stay at this hotel.
Val Embley (30/05/2016 12:47)
Loved being here. Great location, immaculate grounds, fantastic beach and friendly, helpful staff. We would come here again.
bindi raditya (15/05/2016 13:13)
The beach is unforgettable. The restaurant is the best. The room is good, but not really felt like bali.
Daniel Jansson (11/05/2016 11:28)
Magical place with amazing staff. A laid back scenery and good food and meeting possibilities. Quite pricey in the bar and restaurants unfortunately compared to the surrounding restaurants.
Colin O (09/04/2016 14:18)
Lush, sprawling, natural, nice stretches of beaches. This is a languid and relaxing place to chill at. The Club section is more expensive, but more exclusive if you're looking for more privacy. Lovely, romantic. Rooms are well designed, reasonably clean & week maintained. Service may not be the most efficient, but that's the culture, but it is polite and full of smiles. Good place to stay.
