Super awesome place that you should visit when you are in Bali.
This is the iconic place of Bali.
If you wanna learn about Balinese culture, dance and history you should visit this place, you will love it. They always have that Balinese show everyday. Kecak is the famous one, it starts at 7 PM.
And they got a cool photo spot!

Was looking for more of a museum. This place is very big, and the entry fee is steep (125k) but when I went the only things to see were 3 statues, a vast courtyard and a traditional dance (for which there was no explanation). Plus 10 restaurants, gift shops, etc. It looks like there are days when there is a lot more going on so I would look for those (festival days). I wouldn't make a separate trip to see this unless you want to spend the whole day watching dances and eating.
The statue under construction is enormous and visible from Tanah Lot and beyond. Designed by a local Balinese man and all the construction seems to be taking place locally (including fabricating the copper panels) which I thought was cool.

I am extremely proud of this site. Seeing the majestic art, in the middle of the mountain. So extraordinary and beautiful. So many beautiful spot for selfie or practice your photography skills. The food are great as well. The dance perform every day and every hour. My kids love it, as well as my husband and I. It also quite cheap for an extraordinary experience

Nice kachek dance performance but the monuments are so so. Can we given a miss. Once the bigger monument is complete, this place would like even better. One of the less touristy places in Bali. If you have extra time to explore Bali, do visit this place....

Built for tourists. Large sculptures with a few basic gardens. Great large rock walls. Tourists shops and that's it. Sorry not worth the entrance fee. I found the driveway leading there with a cool path much nicer with bronze animals and free!

This place only exists to take money from visitors. 100k is way too much for what you get out of it, even if they do give you a warm glass of iced tea for no additional cost. You can wander around, enjoy a great view of Bali from the south end, see two or three interesting statues, and watch a performance with terrible audio blasting away. "Hey Garuda, I get it: You yell a lot. Now can you please turn down the speakers by fifty percent?"
Once inside, there was a short line of people waiting to have their picture taken in front of a green screen. A staff member directed us to this line. I asked if we had to and was told yes. Not exactly a shock, they tried to sell us that picture when we left. Any place that forces you to exit through their (highly overpriced) gift shop is far more about making money than representing a given history, religion, or culture.

Beautiful cultural park in the middle of hustle bustle of city life. Really recommended to visit this enormous land by the evening nearly before sunset. There are also food Street nearby the parking area. This location is perfect for family gathering ❤️

Good place with a lot of stone statue, also have many attractive dance that can be see in here. The main dance is kecak dance. Must pay 80 k rupiah each person to see the dance and make sure waiting it until 18.30 cos only this time the dance will be perform.

For what you pay as a foreigner (125,000) basic admission. Not really worth it. Just a large grounds with a few statues and a dancw show every hour or so. Not much in the way of learning or culture. Jendela Bali restaurant has decent food but very bad service

One of the strangest places i have ever been. Appears to be an old mine (i think) which someone once with quite a bit of cash had a VERY grand dream about. Its still under construction though im not sure the final product will make any more sense looking at the models. The cliff side restaurant is lovely and the cultural shows as worth the entry fee. Id call it a homage to tourism is anything. If you have some time to spare go but dont make it a priority.....or a whole day.

This place is still under construction. We liked the grand entrance and the grand statues of Vishnu and Garuda. The monument when completed will also stand out for sure. The musical performance at 1pm was under-whelming for this kind of place.
Himanshu rankawat (03/03/2018 11:20)
Idk why this place isn't publicized as much as it should be. Most travel agents wouldn't include it in their packages. I went there with my wife during out trip to Bali and 'impressive' is an understatement. The park is huge with a lot of shows, plays and activities throughout the day. Must visit. A nice venue to take a lot of memorable pictures(and create memories as well) I must say.

Had buffet meal at the restaurant, it was very nice. Nice grounds to walk around, a temple beside Lord Vishnu, magnificent Garuda and cultural shows. Unfortunately, the main structure has not been completed yet. When it is completed, the Garuda and Lord Vishnu will be moved to main structure and can be seen from miles away. I believe it will be awesome.

There have a large area in natural environment. Recommended place for those who loves culture and heritage, not only Plaza Wisnu and Plaza Garuda , but there is also performance of traditional dancing in amphitheater (included in entrance fee). There is also GWK loop to bring visitors see the project of Garuda Wisnu Kencana building.

5000 for motor bike parking. 100,000 for foreigner to see statutes. Free cultural performances in several places throughout the day. The best part: coconut "ice cream" stall on the way up to the statues. Fresh fruit; almost all dairy free; 5000 for a small cup. So good we even came back for it on another day!
Jane Siswanto (08/09/2017 03:50)
The area is huge. I was there in 2012, when the ticket was still Rp. 30,000 per person and I could even bring my dog inside.
After 5 years, the 2 main statues are still on the ground and they are still under construction. Although they have done some changes, but those are not the main things they should focus on.
The focus is those 2 statues.
I was there earlier this year with my family and there really isn't anything interesting but taking pictures.
Dewinta Vikantari (31/08/2017 06:41)
It's hot and so many tourists here are taking photos while they don't know others are also waiting for them to finish taking photos. Awaiting for the Garuda is done. Very awesome!

Amazing place to see huge tall structures crafted from one stone. They have a long guided pathway. A great place to click pictures.and you can see a pathway cut between two similar rocks. Imagine how beautiful it looks to see the sun rising from the moutains

Many entertainment well prepared. Especially Balinese traditional Dance. Every hour. Statues are great. Professional prepared.
Sam Aranta (22/06/2017 23:00)
You will be presented with traditional and historical dance with amazing statue. You have to bring more water or you will be drained and exhausting as long your journey, but if you have lot of budget take it easy there are mineral water available there with little bit over price. If you have plan to go in the weekend you have to be ready with crowded. Cheers 😀

One of the favourite destinations for domesric as well as international tourists. This ambitious project is still under way. Hopefully it will be completed not very long. And when it os compelets, it will become a landmark in Bali.
It often hosts performances and gala dinner for big groups. The view of the sea from this place is stunning.
However, a visit to this place is best done after 2 a clock in the afternoon.
Apiska Antoni (31/05/2017 17:11)
Long way up from ticketing counter to the entrance gate. When you get inside, what will you see just an unfinished statue of Garuda Wisnu since 2000... It would seem magnificent when it's done.
Glen Caleb (26/05/2017 12:12)
Amazing cultural park! The wind blows so hard. Good place for taking a photo or for relaxing. Even if the holiday comes, this place gets really busy. And the route to the central statue, you must get up stairs and stairs! And for the cost, 100k for domestic adult, 60k for domestic child. And 100k for foreign adult and child. Excellent!
James Elliott (12/05/2017 08:08)
Don't waste your money. When I came here they told me one part was closed, but that the ticket price remained the same at 100,000 rupiah. It turned out that this one place was the majority of the ticketed are and other adjacent parts were also closed.
This meant you could only see the main statue from the side.
Very expensive for what it is, considering the huge number of religious and cultural artifacts in Bali you can see for free.
I can think of at least three roundabouts in south Bali that were more impressive.
ED Variandy (29/04/2017 09:52)
Magnificent statue with natural hill atmosphere.
The biggest Vishnu statue in southeast Asia and maybe in the world. Can't wait to see full landscape in the future.

Currently in construction this place is home to a few large Hindu statues. Definately a palace to visit post-2017. The final masterplan looks like it is going to be an amazing development when finished
Mateusz Łyżwiński (01/04/2017 13:51)
I wish I stayed away from this tourist attraction... It's expensive (100k IRD) and has actually nothing interesting to offer. One can say that rocky pillars and two huge sculptures are worth seeing but views provided by Google Maps are sufficient enough...
T S (11/02/2017 10:47)
Located on Uuwatu area, this is the famous gigantic Bali's cultural park....the entrance ticket is expensive compared for what you get inside. But indeed they need big money to maintain this huge park, so please understand.
Inside there's giant statue of Vishnu and his Garuda and several statues else. This park is made from cutting the mountain or hills, how effect to the environment? You judge.....
In the holiday season this park filled with buses from all over the country, so crowded.....
Iwang Wahyu Prasetyo (14/09/2016 08:56)
Many people say that GWK only park with statues unfinished, but they forget we can also enjoy dance performances, even Kecak performed here, although no better than Kecak performances at Uluwatu, but in my opinion worth visiting GWK
valu koorma (13/09/2016 10:19)
vishnu and garuda sculpture very nice price little bit expensive they going to build new vishnu statue tallest in bali

This is awesome place, very large area, can you believe it? simple plan, bloc party and simple plan and tons of loco artist had perform here at soundrenaline 2016. And this is the second time soundrenaline as the biggest music concert be held here. its super massive awesome place and super cool!!
Oskar Elek (24/08/2016 05:38)
This place is far from finished (as of 2016), you pay 100k a person (plus parking) to see pieces of a future 120m-tall monument. It all is basically a construction site, except for a comparatively small part which includes the amphitheater where traditional dance shows take place hourly. But of course all the samey souvenir shops and fast food places are up and running. On the plus side the dance show was interesting. You decide if this is a good value proposition.
Wisnu Primarhasono (19/08/2016 10:55)
Good culture operaaa and in full one day we can seing the opera culture bali, in every hours change the topic, you can wacthing the dance, culture and free. You just buy one ticket pass to entering this place.
Chris Beam (21/06/2016 06:26)
This was an amazing facility with a vibrant atmosphere. Out of all of the other places we visited in Bali (like the Museum Pasifika), this was the most informative about Balinese culture and Hindu beliefs. I will have to visit this place again when construction is complete on the giant statue of Garuda and Wisnu in 2017.
Denys Grinevych (14/06/2016 07:59)
If you like to visit this place for 5k Rp just don't go through main gate where all tourist is passing. Proceed on parking (my son used to be with me on scooter). Then go to the wishnu hands, they are on the right. Then go to the left, you will get to ladders (they are closed, partly closed, if you are slim enough you can pass) don't worry, turn on right, first turning on the left (little climbing), big square and on the left side you will see four (or three) gates, second from the left is your, no locks, just knot on the gate ;-)

Not finished but coming from the US, well worth the entrance fee. The statutes were cool but not all that exciting. There's shows every hour or so though so that makes it worth while. Would not travel far just for this right now though. Maybe in 2017 when the park is finished.
Ray Antonius (23/04/2016 12:16)
Definitely a great place to visit. It has a relaxing feeling in it, good place to take a stroll and enjoy the view. They give out daily cultural performances aswell. The performances were OK. The costume that they used fell a bit short.
