Fancy restaurant with great views. The food is good. However I found it overpriced for Indonesia.

Excellent food, great service, beautiful place, overpriced drinks.

We came here for lunch and thought we could stay by the pool for a while after, but no, although some of your bill counts towards access, you will still have to pay >USD20pp just for accessing the pool, even if you spend a lot on lunch already. As there were only 2 people at the pool during lunch anyways, I don't understand why you need to limit access to the pool at that time. I'm happy to spend money and the food and view is great, but this whole VVIP thing is not for me.
Neither is this free ugly golden Moët & Chandon cup going to change my mind.

Beautiful view. However, if youre two people who want two different dishes apparently a staff of about 10 people are not able to prepare that and you have to share one platter. Not worth the price frankly.

We discovered this place, the year it opened. How disappointing to see it continue to try and become something else.
It’s now expanded so much that the pool is way too small for the venue. The bathrooms cannot accomodate and the cost is officially ridiculous.
Great staff and still an amazing sunset. After all these years, you’ve lost me.

A venue worth the drive down to... fabulous views and great service. The absolutely love the Seafood Paella there. The Chef's original family recipe is a tad top salty for me so I always ask him to tone down on the salt which is very accommodating of him!

A stunning place to have a few drinks and admire the sunset at! I hear the tapas are great, and the drinks are delicious, but our Christmas set menu was a big, big disappointment. Why use the subtle truffle if you're only going to smother it in butter? The paella tasted the same as in my school cafeteria 20 years ago, and why was the lovely tuna completely drowned in a mustardy, vinegary sauce with not a hint left from the taste of fish? I also wonder why there aren't any other place to change into your swimming gear than the bathroom? There's something missing - I don't feel like we got value for our money. Still, the staff was beyond friendly and very helpful, the cocktails tasty and the place beautiful, so points for those! Get a platter of tapas and drinks and you're set :)

Very nice foods with amazing staffs.
Definitely worth your time.
You can choose to sit down on pool area and enjoy the pool and scenery (with min. expense of IDR 650K per person), or sit down on the table for good romantic atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants to relax with family and loved ones. A bit expensive but in my opinion this is a very satisfying transaction. In this place I recommend you try a very nice little burger. do not forget to make a reservation before coming.

The best place to eat in the area. Delicious paellas and nice tapas with decently priced wines. Beautiful atmosphere and faultless service. Great for dinner if you're not on a tight budget. Perfect for a romantic date or a party with friends.

I do not recommend this place at all. You pay more than what you receive, poor attention by management (an arrogance that is not understood on that island) and you pay TRIPLE than anywhere else in the area. It is supposed to be a club with an infinity pool (one ultra small pool), the reality is a small place (small, small) with a NORMAL decoration, and a meal that if you are lucky and not in bad conditions like we did) is a meal Which is not worth what you pay even by far.

Honestly, if you want to be deceived and pay a DUMPED amount of money for a local in BAlI, this is your site. I recommend you in half price, you go to any place in Seminyak, with the same sunset, some with infinity pool MUCH BETTER AND GREATER such as the "Potato Head" which is very superior in everything.

Do not be fooled by the comments from here by management friends to make misleading advertising, The Kabron is a place where you are stealing money for what they offer.

Not too easy to get too and quite expensive by Bali standards. However it is worth the trip and the money for the views and the pool alone. The food and drinks are fantastic and the Greek dessert deserves a special mention.

tony roseman (03/08/2017 00:36)
Not the easiest place to get to but well worth the journey. Always go for the pool area (take your speedos!) and soak up the amazing sunsets. The staff are super friendly, the whole place shines with a certain decadence. Would certainly recommend a visit if you're in Bali ... and the paella is amazing !

A fantastic place to visit for special occasions. Love the service, the food, the vibe and the sunset voew is AMAZING! The place got recommended bu a good friend of ours Mr Andrew Terry and it didn't disappoint!!! Loved every moments we spend there. Thank you for such a wonderful services. This place is worth every penny spend.

Really disappointed. Vegans be warned!!! Before paying I double checked that they had vegan options for me and said yes enthusiastically. The menu has "*" at options they called vegan including bread and few other dishes. When I went to order I told her I am vegan an allergic to diary so it's very important for the options to be vegan. She went to check with the chef and came back and the only dish I could have was fries. She told me the bread (labeld vegan) has egg in, the paella (labelled vegan) has dairy. In short every dish had egg or diary inside despite what the menu said. I'm greatful for her checking this for me. But Sooooooo disappointed especially as your have to pay before entering, I was left with no good options. The view is nice.

There are MUCH better places in Bali to go to. El Kabron is in the middle of nowhere and takes forever to get to (literally in the back roads). You go there to site by the pool but they stop you at the door and tell you you need sleeves. The only way to get in then is to buy a shirt from them for $60USD. Then after paying the cover charge you take it right off while you are sitting at the pool. It is by far not the best "pool restaurant/bar in Bali. Food and drinks are also way over priced for what you are getting. Do yourself a favor and skip El Kabron on your trip to Bali. The scenery is nice but nothing else about the place is worth it. Very disappointed.

Eliza Jinata (31/05/2017 19:36)
A bit overpriced especially if you want to go to their pool area, even though the view was amazing, especially for sunset.
Food was decent. The minimum order of paella was a big let down. They will only cook the paella if there are at least 2 people ordering the same variety of paella. Well, in my opinion if you order food in a group or as a couple, you want to try different dishes and order some varieties, instead of ordering 2 portions of the same dishes - or at least that's what I think, obviously not the same thinking as what the management has.

Nice spanish beach club in Bali! Difficult to get there, but once you are there you just want to stay and relax! Amazing sunset with DJ music!

Patrick Farrell (01/04/2017 14:11)
Very classy place with a great view for sunset. I wish the pool was a little bigger but the view is awesome. Great food too for a decent price.

kendall havenstein (18/03/2017 00:55)
Beautiful setting. Such great spot. Loved the Music. Worth a visit for dinner or to just have sunset drinks by the pool. Food and service was both perfect. Expensive but worth it

Jaclyn Wilson (09/03/2017 06:55)
Just amazing service, amazing food I absolutely loved the whole experience. The view was breathtaking (see picture below. No filter)

I will 100% come back to Bali just to come here!
Had the most amazing day here...... this place is living!

I'm from Australia and the price was very reasonable. $300 Australia for myself and partner and that was 5 hours here. Drinks where always full, nibbles at the start of the day and a full dinner entree and main at night.. stayed 3pm to 8pm :)

Had VIP access from the balcony pool and restaurant.

Alex (12/02/2017 08:42)
Feel like in Santorini and Mykonos. Highly recommend. The food and drink are awesome. Services are attentive. Breathtaking view and sunset at around 630pm. They have fix price per person either by the pool or in the restaurant. Before 7pm by the pool is 550k, in the restaurant is 350k. 50k is the entry fee. So you will have 300k/500k credit to spend. It takes sometime to get there and on the way back is very dark due to lack of street light at night. Make sure you go there with a car or hire a driver. Taxi to get out is fixed price 250k. Enjoy!

Honestly my favourite bar on this planet. Perfect food, perfect drinks, perfect music, perfect pool, perfect view. PERFECT!! 👌🏻

We can't wait to go back to this amazing place..location is breathtaking..tapas were as tasty as I've ever had and the cocktails were awesome.. To top it off the beats were solid for 6 hours..We highly rate this restaurant on so many levels 10 out of 10

Jakob Broman (25/12/2016 12:50)
Great location, nice view! Everything else is tacky and not worth the money.
Weird place.

Thao T (15/11/2016 00:38)
Amazing views if you're seated on the balcony or towards the front of the pool area. Definitely make a reservation and then arrive early to grab a good seat. If you reserve in the pool area then I would 100% recommend bringing a swimsuit. Travelling to El Karon was a little tough for me since I was not familiar with the area and the roads are pretty twisty. I left the restaurant mid-sunset so there was still enough light to see where I was going, I think it would be harder to get back if it were dark. The service was very attentive and the food and drinks were good. I ordered from the Tapas menu and was pretty full after about 3 or 4 plates. The reservation process is a little strange - you're basically paying for the area you wish to be seated in and they give you a voucher for food that's worth 300,000 IDR per reservation. Basically, expect to pay about 50 USD for reservation, food, and drinks for 1 person.

Definitely the best place for a sunset I've ever been to. Lovely staff and great food. Worth paying the money to sit by the pool. A highlight of our trip and we will be back!

Small pool, burned by the sun.

It is famous and iconic, and look amazing in professional pictures. It is quite hard to reach this place. We use Google Maps but the road was blocked, apparently by a real estate company, who told us to use public road to reach El Kabron. Then the trip is a bit worrying as we have to pass areas without settlement. Eventually we arrived at El Kabron.
The pool is rather small. And packed by too many body shows. The sun really burning here. I cannot stand to stay here to enjoy the sunset. It burns. Too hot.

Note: El Kabron has minimum charge, which is around USD75 per person.

Unsure of reasoning for some of the negative reviews, perhaps things have changed a little recently. We went with a party of five including 2 children, we were greeted at the door by a lovely reception team who were more than happy to explain everything. We were not charged any entrance fee and the children were given towels at no charge to use the pool, while a very gentlemanly waiter kept his eye on them (not in a bad way) to ensure we could relax. The atmosphere was fantastic with dj's providing lush laid back beats. We found the food to be outstanding ( the stand out being onion souvide octopus with smoked potatoe puree ) and all staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Slightly pricey but well worth the experience, will be back.

Groza Subhakty (01/08/2016 06:41)
Bad receptionist and unfriendly attitude...surprisingly our server was very kind and very good in suggesting the menu. Get ready to pay extras for sauce and honey for your meal. We came there there to swim but they closed the pool when it was only drops of rain and reopen four hours later nearing the sunset. While waiting, we have used up The Rp. 500.000 er person minimum charge.

Geoff Madsen (29/06/2016 02:21)
A little off the beaten track this restaurant is not a come off the beach place. They wanted Rp 350 000 up front for each of us at 3.30 afternoon when we just wanted a beer and a glass of wine. We were decently dressed and mature couple with money to spend. I thought the minimum spend requirement for that time of day was unnecessary - the position was awesome so quite disappointed to walk away from a brazen rip off!

Edi NT (06/06/2016 03:05)
Lovely, beautiful, cozy, great place to relax. Make sure you arrive before sunset. Enjoy the infinity pool, listen to music, taste the food. Recommended and will come back.

Ibiza meets Bali. Very good in all details, staff, design, food and atmosphere. Simply splendid! Only fault I find are the ridiculous Moet plastic glasses in which champagne is served. They are nouveau riche and does not fit with the otherwise stylish place! Don't forget your wallet, and enjoy!

Bianca Conway (20/03/2016 13:16)
Absolutely breath-taking!! The perfect way to remember the beauty of Bali. Delicious food, great service. It is more expensive than people are used to paying in Bali but it's 100% worth it. Highly recommended!

GA DUF (10/02/2016 04:04)
Of all my years in asia, by far the best spanish food i experiemced! (Comparing to my previous life living in madrid for a long time so my benchmark is already high). Food is delicious, ingredients fresh & tasty (impressive to source such products on this side of the world). Well cooked, well presented with great combinations of flavours.
Service perfect and dedicated, a bit pricy but worth it! (And a bit far too but same worth the trip!)

Publica Maharani (08/02/2016 09:57)
Great place for sunset!
But first you have to buy the ticket IDR 350k @person
It already include entry fee 50k(for swim+towel) and 300k for f&b voucher. Note: not refundable.
The food isnt recommended :(
