I went to Bali Clinic as I had fever and sore throat. I knew the doctor would be expensive at Rp400,000 but no complaints about that. He was very professional and suggested so needed anti-biotics, anti-inflammatory, paracetamol and multi-vitamins. There was a small alarm bell when he mentioned the last two medications, given they are readily available over the counter but I just accepted his prognosis and preset options. It was when I got the bill that the alarm bell truly went off. The cots for the medications was Rp700,000 which is extremely expensive. I asked for a breakdown of the costs but was told the computer was down. They said they could give me a presription for the chemist which I agreed to. We went to Guardian locally and the total cost for the same was Rp43,000. The Bali Clinic was more than 16x the cost. Need au say more? This place is designed to fleece unsuspecting tourists who are no doubt in a poor state of health. Extraordinary!

Good service! Doctors and nurse are very nice and helpful. Really recommend this as a health service choice for visitors in Seminyak Bali!

Ratih Astarida (23/04/2018 09:52)
Profesional staffs, good english-speaking doctors, high standard of hygiene, fast response, eassy to access because located in the central of Seminyak 💯 Price a little bit high but it worth the quality of service you will get 👍🏻

Let me say that usually I don’t write negative comments like this but I had to share with people what happened to us.
We had a TERRIBLE experience!!!! My girlfriend went to Bali clinic to inject some vitamins…
First of all the prices are ridiculous, very expensive!
First they said 265.000 something, but at the end it was double somehow… How can you treat patients like that?
But the “nicest” part is what you can see on the picture below… The woman called herself a “doctor” missed her vein 6 TIMES!! You heard it well, SIX TIMES!!! In the end the other doctor helped her to find the vein and injected.
This is just RIDICULOUS!
I RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC NOBODY!!
Ps.: If there would be an option to give zero star, I would rather choose that…

If you have an emergrncy go to international hospital. Bali clinic is a major tourist trap - avoid at all costs!!!
If you have a minor concern go to kimia farma seminyak (5 min walk up street from clinic). They have a GP on site and 24 hour chemist.

Quoted 1 million ++ for doctor and medication at bali clinic. At farma 370 000 inc medical advice.

The upside: Prompt service and a professional setting with 24 hour access.

The downside: The cost of medication is ridiculous. I was given a course of antibiotics for $70 USD which is insane. A day earlier the pharmacy had provided a course of antibiotics for $5. When asked if the antibiotics I already had were the same I got a very convenient answer that was "not familiar with that type". As medical professionals you would hope they have more integrity.

In a nutshell, it's an option but I am sure more credible clinics out there.

Surprised to see so many bad reviews. I had an absolutely excellent experience. But I guess it's quite common that a good service is taken for granted while a bad experience is always emotional and spoken out. Nurse was very nice and welcoming and the doctor was very professional - he took a very careful and detailed look into my situation (which is actually quite complicated). As opposed to what's said here in comments and what normally happens in medical centers in Bali, the attitude wasn't money centered at all! For being an employed expat, I was using my basic health insurance, same as any other Indonesian has. Hope my treatment goes well and reviews get more positive here!

We were quoted 350k to see Dr and then up to 1M for medication as they do not provide scripts but administer their own. Tourist trap. I you are truly unwell go to BIMC otherwise go to pharmacy and get some medication.

So bad.
I just going this clinic who still open 24hours and i get very hurt tummy! First my friend talking with the nurse to help me, and you know what? she said "did you can pay 375k for checkup exclude medicine?" and she look at me maybe she think im so poor or anything. The doctor is nice but if they expensive they need more good attitude to everyone even they are Indonesian.

Had an ear infection for about 3 days. Self prescribed antibiotics which begun to help. Woke up one morning with no hearing from the ear at all. Recommended this clinic from a local friend and I have to say that they were the most friendly and helpful people that I have ever met. Fully English speaking which helped get to the problem and left feeling like it is completely resolved. 5*!!

Paid the same price for a full medical and medication in a major BKK hospital as this place.

But here we had a 5 minute consultation and some prescribed medication. We told them to keep the medication and the consultation cost 30 USD. We really did not get any information from the doctor.

Huge tourist trap, would not recommend. BUY THE MEDICATION ELSEWHERE. Just go here to get whatever you have wrong looked at!!!

This place is a big tourist trap - Absolute highway robbery! The consultation was quick but the cost of the medication was unreal at A$120 for a five day course of medication to treat an outer ear infection. Basic medication which is made in Indonesia. I could accept to pay Australian prices, but this is ridiculous.

Fairly short wait for a walk in. They knew exactly what to do for a blocked ear. Pretty expensive (about $100 AUD) but it'll be covered by travel insurance.

Bradley Ward (04/12/2016 08:30)
Very expensive - particularly if they provide medicine. Also doctors prescribing *half* manufacturer recommended daily doses of antibiotics - had to see another doctor. Published email addresses don't work when I was trying to get in contact - I'd strongly suggest avoiding.

Marcel Dehlinger (26/05/2016 01:20)
My experience with the clinic is sadly not a very good one.
A few days ago my wife and I went here because she had a blocked ear-canal. The doctor took care of it within 10 minutes - no problems so far, and this would get 5 stars.

But: We are tourists, so apparently we are made out of money... 15 minutes (5 minutes talking, 10 minutes treating) cost us about 750,000 Rupiahs (~60$, 50€). We were told afterwards that locals would not pay as much.

And it gets better: I apparently began showing signs of an outer-ear-infection. The doctor prescribed medicine for it - I asked him how much it would cost. "20 tablets are 735,000 Rupiahs." (also ~60$, 50€)
I said no thanks and immediately went home. I asked a Balinese friend to get me THE EXACT SAME medicine from the pharmacy: 16,000 Rupiahs (~1.5$, 1€)

This was the point where I had to deduct 4 of the 5 stars I would have given.
This is not how a doctor (or anyone) should treat people (or tourists). This is plain greedy and shameful. I will hopefully never have to return here.

EDIT 26.05.2016:
The grand finale. Of course the fun couldn't stop. So yesterday I went to a good doctor because the antibiotics caused severe side effects. He said: "You don't have an ear infection. The other doctor must have diagnosed incorrectly."
He told me I just had a rash from cleaning my ears improperly (which the expensive doctor at Bali clinic failed to see).
So if I could, I would even take that last star away... Because thanks to the brutal antibiotics the doctor at Bali clinic prescribed I now feel worse than before and my vacation is bound to find an early end.

They will rip foreigners off here. I came here because of an ear infection. My initial consultation was $30 USD, a somewhat fair price. However, a five day course of antibiotics was $75 USD. Everywhere else in Asia, the same antibiotics cost no more than $15 USD. I mentioned how expensive the antibiotics were and the staff literally laughed in my face. It is a sickening feeling to seek out medical attention only to be taken advantage of simply for being a foreigner and a tourist. My advice to you, skip this clinic and go somewhere else.

Went there 30/04 because of an ear infection that had failed to get better after being seen by a doctor in koh lanta, thailand. The nurses and the doctor spoke english (doctor fluently) and were very helpful. The doctor recognised that I had inner ear swelling from failing to equalize properly during a dive and both middle and outer ear infection and was very helpful in regards to advise about flying, swimming and diving. Consultation cost was 370 000 rp, which ended up cheaper than in thailand and definitely better quality. Based on my experience I would recommend the clinic, at least for smaller injuries/problems.
