HALAL HOTEL Staff excellent. Breakfast average. Room upgrade needed. Beds comfy. Pool towels poor, old and heavily marked. Bath towels hard. Location very good

Of all the places I've stayed so far in Bali. This is by far my favourite.
Reasonably priced.
Great Breakfast.
Jamu Spa on site. Amazing massage.
Very private with beautiful tropical gardens. Orchids everywhere (stayed in April).
Entertainment and happy hour at hotel.
Wednesday night, all you can eat and Balinese dancers.
Very handy location on the beach. And close to Melasti Street and Garlic lane. Also not far to Poppies Lane.

The staff at this resort are so friendly, the gardens beautiful and it has two decent pools. The resort is overall very relaxed and a great escape from the busy streets. The only downside was our room, the airconditioning hardly worked and the room had a very damp smell. Would still highly recommend - also loved the Italian restaurant at the front, great food and decent happy hours.

The staff is so friendly, the resort is very nice, comfy and clean. The food is great, both veg and non-veg. It is just opposite legian beach where you can surf and relax. We booked a villa here, great pool and the outdoor bath tub is just amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Nice hotel with very friedly staff. Has 2 pools and is just opposite the Kuta beach. Walking distance to many restaurants and the Mall is not too far away. Easy to catch a taxi from outside the hotel or request for Grab/Uber. Has a nice spa for Balinese massage. Free breakfast that is decent. Wouldn't mind coming back to stay here again.

Couldnt speak highly enough of the wonderful staff at alam kul kul. After falling over outside of the resort and breaking my arm which required surgery the staff came to visit me in hospital with a beautiful arrangement of flowers and then when l came home a fantastic bowl of fresh fruit along with all their well wishes and care from staff. I would highly recommend alam kul kul boutique resort..Carol Stewart

Spent 7 nights recently, my second stay and I was surprised with an upgrade to a villa. Also surprised with a birthday cake and serenaded at breakfast. I love this place, warm and friendly, attention to detail. It is in an excellent location, small Balinese style hotel with charm. Will stay again!

Beautiful view. Next to Kuta beach and it's easy to get everything needed around. Serve very delicious breakfast.

This hotel is a bit old but is still a nice place to stay. We have been here a few times so it has some good memories for us so we come back every so often. The hotel has a good feel and staff are nice.

Old establishment but nice.
Ive always gone back to alam kulkul, nice friendly staff. Food nice, the can do better with breakfast. The only downfall is the mosquitos, but then again its a common thing in bali. Location is great close to legian shops, across the road from kuta beach. The pools are nice and clean. I do recommend 👌

old establishment, but you can see they used expensive materials when they built it long time ago. teak furniture, marble floors, etc. kind of place rich people from the past went to. these things give you unique experience.
but breakfast was so so, regret paying for it throughout my stay. better have meals from their beachfront restaurant.
staff was friendly, but not enough number that we had to wait long for check in and check out

Staff is great. Rooms are spacious but a bit on the older side. We had some issues and had to switch rooms mid stay. However it was handled well. Good breakfast. WiFi needs improvement. Pools are clean and plenty of space to relax.

Very friendly staff. Delicious halal (no pork served) breakfast. Rooms are clean and air conditioning works well. Pools are very nice despite limited sun. Wifi is slow unfortunately.

A wonderfully pleasant and slightly quirky Boutique hotel. Love that almost all (maybe all) rooms have their own veranda with a table, chair and a mosquito coil burner. The gardens are lovely, the water bowl is decorated with flowers every morning -- shapes such as a fish or a star are made with different color flowers. The food is decent and as the rooms are set back a good ways from the street, it's not too noisy either.

Lotte bit hidden, No traffic sounds. Luxury breakfast, with squirls on the trees. Lovely pools, friendly staff, directly walk onto the beach.

Nice hotel in the first line of Kuta
We stayed in Java villa which was definitely a right choice.
The pool and surrounding area are rather small but enough to chill.
The living room is just the right size not to mention the bathroom with separate toilette and impressive bath with tropical shower. Also there is a small pool with fish. Adorable.
The room is equipped with the bath robes, slippers, tea pot, conditioner and ventilation, etc. Small disadvantage is the absence of electricity socket from one side of the bed. By the way the bed is huge and covered with mosquito net (canopy). Pretty romantic.
The hugest advantage of the hotel is its location as it is the first line, green and the territory is inspiringly decorated in accordance with local traditions. Moreover, it is like a separate world where you can relax in silence after crowdie and loudly Kuta’s streets. At the outdoor restaurant the squirrels are running up and down. Meanwhile,
However, we were disappointed with the breakfast itself, especially with small choice of fruits, bakery and dairy. Although there is an egg and pancake station and variety of hot meals including local ones. Lately when we stayed in rented villa and went out for breakfast it was much more satisfying.
Despite this tiny drawback I solidly could recommend this hotel.

I love this hotel with its local wisdom. Contrary to trend nowadays where almost all hotels have simply minimalist style. But AlamKulKul is different.

Mosquitos galore, old rooms, odd smell, bloated every time i would eat from there. Regret it. Very expensive for the room types, mould mould mould. seriously, i do not recommend.

Absolutelty beautful. We loved staying here our room was upgraded near the pool. Unfortunately they are renovating at the moment so it was a bit noisy but I guess they have to do their work sometime.. Would definately stay here again

pool was empty and dirty.
