" Komplek Pemakaman Girilaya Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul tempat ini (bukit) sebelumnya menjadi calon pemakaman raja-raja Mataram Islam era pemerintahan Sultan Agung Hanyokrokusuma namun dikarenakan tempatnya yang sempit sehingga di pindahkan ke Bukit Pajimatan yang saat ini ditempati sebagai makam raja-raja Mataram Islam baik dari Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat maupun Paku Buwana (Solo). Yang sudah menempati pemakaman Girilaya pertama Pangeran Juminah (paman dari Sultan Agung) , Sultan Cirebon (Pangeran Cirebon) , dan beberapa kerabat kerajaan Mataram lainnnya . Memasuki tangga awal bertemu pendopo pasarean , masjid dengan bangunan khas masjid jawa didepan masih ada kolam , selanjutnya naik tangga lagi sekitar ratusan anak tangga berbelok kiri maupun kanan komplek pemakaman . "
