24 May 2018Samantha Lee
" Nothing about the food, but when I got here at 735 they said the shop opens at 740. And when I got back to the store at 750, it is still closed and the staff are still preparing. Wasn't it supposed to be opened at 7.30? Update: Asked them again and they said they will open at 8am. "

" Here for dinner. Ample seating area. Service is good. Food prepared in good time despite the brisk customer flow. However the coffee are not as good as other branch. Not quite the consistent taste of this chain. "

" Another Ya Kun with super frustrated counter lady who wasn't afraid of upsetting the customer.
15 March 2018Yes, it did upset me during my last visit on last Sunday on 11 Mar 18.
The toast, steam buns and even cream crackers are really good. Coffee and tea are good enough.
My advice is to completely ignore the service attitude, best not to look at her and ignore whatever upleasant words that can come out from her mouth.
Also to ignore are the mess and dirty tables like there is no one to clean up.
A photo I attached showing the straws holder, broken but fixed with only rubber bands. That reflects how much they care. "

" Great place for breakfast or a quick afternoon slack. Really love their Kaya toast, which is a must try. Coffee was pretty good too, and prices were reasonable. Would come back again! "
12 March 2018Sg1742z
" Great nostagia awaits you here! Food is great! However, it can very crowded and the queue is long. Service attitude is not very good, staff are very impatient. "

" Serves great strong local coffee. If you are from other side of the hemisphere, give this a shot “Kopi-C”. It’s actually coffee with evaporated milk. "
28 February 2018Samuel Ng
" If there's a unique Singapore breakfast it has to Steamed bread with kaya or peanut and half-boiled eggs and coffee. This steamed bread is like a blast from the past when I ate it as a child. Today local coffee shops can't steam bread so they toast the bread. And toasted bread are not the same quality. Yakun even cooked the halfboiled eggs right and served with shells removed as it's quite messy to remove shell. I've seen customers in other outlets spill the whole egg. Try this typical outlet as they specially served the handicapped like me.
21 February 2018The boss at this outlet is so kind as he tells his staff to serve me without queuing. The staff takes my order and money and brings the food to me. He does this to senior citizens too. Frankly the best Ya Kun outlet in Singapore "
Lynn Yeo
" Coffee, tea and toast are fantastic. "

16 February 2018Junyeon Lee
" A delicious lunch. But it’s so sweet to me. "
08 February 2018Angus L
" Good coffee. Half boiled eggs done right (and nicely warm).
07 February 2018Lack of pepper shakers, I can see only 2 or 3 in the whole store. "

" Taste good but still hungry after finishing the meal😂😂 "
01 February 2018Jeff Lin
" sweet and delicious local restaurant. famous for its toast and coffee. "
24 January 2018Sandra Santoso
" Like the coffee and original kaya toast. The Laksa is also so good "
21 January 2018Joe Ng
" Renovated about 6 months ago and still packed to capacity just about every day, this outpost of the Ya Kun empire serves up breakfast staples that can be had all day. I recommend the kaya toast, the kaya steamed bread and the runny egg!! If this is your first visit to Ya Kun then definitely take a small jar of the wondrously rich kaya back with you. "
21 January 2018Subianto Hong
" Terganggu karena pihak cafe mengizinkan tamu merokok. Padahal ini didalam gedung, INDOOR.
13 January 2018Ingat UU No. 36 Tahun 2009 tentang Kesehatan dan PP No. 19 Tahun 2003 tentang Pengamanan Rokok Bagi Kesehatan.

08 January 2018This place made me fall in love with Kaya toast! Ever since eating kaya at this place i have always craved kaya toast when i feel like munching something.
Please note the coffee is super dark, make sure you ask for lighter version with some sugar. "
JJ Lim
" The Boss has a very impolite and rude attitude. He simply defends himself when I, a regular customer, who frequent the store everyday, sometimes even twice a day. When I approached him that the Coffee made by the new comer is not hot, he unhappily commented loudly that I damaged his store reputation and bullied his new staff. That was the same comment made from his own staff who is doing the cleaning work, when asked about his personality.
05 January 2018He is not fit to be in this industry and I will NOT RECOMMEND any customers to this particular store. Shame on him! "
Choon Heng Peck
" Steam bread came 22 minutes after the coffee and eggs. One star for the good coffee and another star for the fantastic steam bread.
01 January 2018However, I didn't get to ultimate experience of bread + coffee + eggs. This take away a star.
The outlet is obviously lack of head count especially the cleaning up department. For a $5 set breakfast, it is not too much to expect McDonald's standard of cleanliness. Minus two stars for messy and dirty tables. "

" I've always been a big fan of Yakun. .. however seems like the standard had dropped for this branch... as evident with some other reviews for this branch ...
23 December 2017Ordered n almost finished my drink but toast was not ready yet... when it was finally ready .. butter had melted (butter sugar set) n bread was not toasted evenly n didn't help that the eggs were cold from all the waiting.... very disappointed as I was away from Singapore for awhile n was craving for Yakun :( ... maybe the staff making toast needs more training???? n in event like this ... offer to change hot eggs to match hot toast??? "
Mandy Ng
" Love the tea here, rich in tea flavor. The staff listened to my request of not adding carnation milk to my tea..😊 "
17 December 2017Liew Tyng
" When I am asking why my meal is coming so slow but what I get from staff's blaming is why can't I be patient? Is this service attitude should be for answering customer question? "

" Service sucks. Skipped my coffee for few customers, and yet can still yelled at me, "Where's your plate?!". Hello... It's just a cup of coffee and you don't have the queue system in making your coffee ??? "
04 June 2017Shawn Lee
" Still the best toast bread in Singapore and this branch is no different. Always packed with many people though! "
29 May 2017Frederick Setjadiningrat
" Nothing that cozy or comfortable. Actually the place looks too dark compared to its surrounding and awkward. But there is a lot of seats and plugs. The price is very low. The toasts and the sandwitch are pretty good for the price. I don't why the place so hot, the AC not blowing. Don't touch the ginger drink, way too spicy. But if you are looking for a cheap place for some talks, this is definitely gonna be that place. "

" No matter how many times I had coffee at this branch, the coffee always has this sour aftertaste in the mouth. It shouldn't be taste like this for a good coffee.
02 April 2017I will not come back again here even it's near to mrt. There is toastbox and another yakun at middle road that taste much much better. "

" Great place for traditional coffee and butter-kaya toast. I usually get Set A with kopi for $4.80, and it comes with 2 pieces of toast, 1 kopi, and 3 soft-boiled eggs. It's sufficient for me for a quick catch up with friends, and tastes absolutely beautiful. That said, this outlet is ridiculously crowded on weekends, and you'd have to probably wait quite a while / share tables with strangers in order for you to enjoy your toast set. "
07 March 2016Jonathan Ng
" Nice kopi but cups abit small. Toast is great. Small n crispy. "
04 March 2016Ali Chua
" Traditional coffee and toast in Singapore, and even though it is now a franchise, the quality is upheld. Great place for breakfast -- do order the kaya and butter toast, with soft boiled eggs and traditional coffee. Probably one of the best thing you can order here. If you'd like you can go on to buy a bottle of Kaya (coconut jam with pandan) to spread over your toast at home. "

" The drink is small and too sweet. The toast is good, crusty and thin in good size, but again slightly too sweet. The egg white is too liquid. Pricey. There is a better one. "
27 December 2015Samuel Tan
" I personally like the food at Ya Kun. The kaya toast is always done to perfection, warm and crispy with a ton of flavor. They used to serve toast with ice cream but unfortunately they removed that from their menu.
04 December 2015This outlet is way too small to meet the crowd levels at Clementi Mall. This Ya Kun is always packed, noisy and has virtually no space to get around. Yes, the food is nice but the experience isn't. "
