" Paradise lost... I first came here 5 years ago and it was a little crowded and basically a surf ghetto, but the wave was good enough to put up with the local beach rat kids constantly trying to get as much as possible from you; Food, surf equipment, money......5 years later those same kids are out in the lineup using their local wave knowledge and wave priority and taking pretty much all the waves, at least the best set waves....and then they want to sell you photos they take of you surfing.....photos of you surfing the scraps, the leftover waves. And they're still trying to get whatever they can from you.
14 July 2017If you are a true surfer avoid this place, unless you like hassling with the locals for waves and then being hassled later to give them something. I used to spend 3 to 4 weeks at a time here....I'm not coming back. "
