" A good view of Gunung Padang from the Buddhist temple. A breezy spot to enjoy the Padang scenery and a cool drink, the returning fishing boats in early morning or the colorful sunset at the end of the day. Shop for local "oleh-oleh" (gifts from a trip) at Christine Hakim nearby. Stroll along the old Muara harbor for a feel of the early days of the spice trade and the present day inter-island and coastal commerce. For a more spectacular view of the coast, take a short ride by ojek (motor-cycle taxi) to the top of the hill. Plenty of angkot (mini-buses) for easy access to other parts of town. "
