" Due to the rapid rise in population staying in this area in the past 10 years, the Sengkang station had grown to a stage where it is struggling to accommodate the tremendous rise in residents.

The Sengkang LRT station is the most obvious of this epidemic. The platform is very crowded, and it is a nightmare to board the LRT during the early morning and late evening rush hours.

If you want to visit Sengkang via the MRT/LRT, please come during the off peak hours.

2 stars is given here, because it is a basic form of transport which everyone requires. It still does its job of getting you to where you want, that is if you manage to board the train. "

" This station is linked to compass one shopping mall directly and very convenient!:)
There’re many restaurants and cafes , and apparel shops for ladies and kids!
Water playground is not so big but nice to play in the morning or late afternoon (noon, it’s too hot...)

The community centre is located near to this MRT as well (3mins by foot).
There’re some enrichment class for toddlers and adult. In addition to it, there’s a resting space and post office:)

But this station is very crowded all the time because it’s linked to LRT station also.
If you need to use the lifts, please estimate an extra time as I always need to miss the lift purposely a few times before I squeeze in... "

" North East Line is by far the most reliable MRT line in Singapore. Never once I had issues with the line. Good maintenance. Sengkang station is one of the busiest but most orderly and efficiently organised station. "

" A really huge interchange that houses the Sengkang LRT terminal and the MRT station for the North East Line. Fully equipped with a lot of facilities, with a mall that is directly next door.

LRT station may be intimidating for first time visitors though there are staff that are stationed there for assistance. "

" Do take note of which side the train is heading to before boarding the LRT. There are 2 sides, East (Yellow) and West (red). "

" Might be confusing for commuters especially first timers. Take note of the 'region' the train is heading to before boarding. Red for 'west', yellow for 'east'. "
