" A fishing port, what more can I say. Caught a grab from Jl Bau at 18k and got dropped off at the entrance. The ticket cost 10k and that was it. You just walk around from one end to the other watch these guys at work either maintaining the boat or loading it. Lots of photo opportunities if you are that way inclined and I believe more if you go at sunset. You can also ask to go on a boat and check it out but not my cup if tea. Didn't see any other tourists, did see another mosque though and a bit if traffic, stinky dirty water and the ubiquitous feline and chicken. Unless you have data on your phone getting back is tricky because there are no taxis sitting there. The little old men and their becaks are lined up waiting at the entrance and around the corner, I paid 30k to Fort Rotterdam. I crossed the road and found Cafe Laku for a juice to cap it all off and since they have WiFi it was just a quick and cheap grab ride to the hotel. Another B grade attempt at tourism from Makassar. Only recommended for boat lovers and photography enthusiasts. "
