" Too expensive for what you get.(190RM per night on Agoda)
30 April 2018Room is clean but there is NO window, it's small and very noisy. We asked for the quietest room but you can hear everyone around you (very thin walls), the cars in the street and the karaoke bar which is very loud until 11pm)
Swimming pool is small and not deep, with warm water. (It's an infinite pool but it's pretty useless as there is no view)
Breakfast is very basic. (perhaps worth 3 or 4 RM)
Staff is nice.
You can find way better hotel in Kuching for way less money and closer to the riverwalk. "

" Very nice place, church transformed into stylish hotel. The pool is fantastic, restaurant and service excellent. Rooms tranquility is however not same for all, prefer the room on the pool side as quiet "

" This stunning gem of a boutique hotel has more soul than any other I ve been to. Renovating an old boarding school, the building, rooms, halls are so charming but also designy! It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave and I for sure will come back ! "

" When the late Ong Ewe Hai (whose father migrated from Fukien province, China to Singapore in the first half of the 19th century) decided to plant his roots in Kuching, he made sure the house he was going to build for his family would have a clear frontage overlooking the river. So he selected one of the highest spots on the compound of the present Bishop’s House for this purpose.
20 November 2017Ewe Hai’s priority for choosing a suitable site was understandable because, by profession, he was a trader with vast business interests in Sarawak and Singapore. As all Chinese businessmen are geomantically inclined, so was Ewe Hai. When the house was finally completed in 1885, it not only overlooked the street where Ewe Hai’s shophouses were built on both sides of it, but also the Sarawak River some distance ahead. The street was later named after Ewe Hai.
Before it was sold to the Anglican Mission for a few thousand dollars and turned into a boarding house in 1933, the house, solidly built from belian and sun-baked bricks, had been the home of three generations of ONGS all under the same roof – Ewe Hai’s son, Ong Tiang Swee, his families and their families. Former Malaysian Federal Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui was also born in this house with his brothers, uncles, aunties, cousins and nieces. "

" A latest addition from the owners of the Ranee property in Kuching. The place is amazing, very affordable with great location. Offer a variety of combination for families, couples or group of friends. Over the weekend you might be find the property a bit noisy , generated from the nearby roads or karaoke bars. "

" Nice and cosy hotel. However, the toilets could be improved by having doors which can actually be closed and shower drains placed at the lower side of the shower area to facilitate water drainage... "
