Walking down each exhibition hall in the 2 storey pre war building, you will be greeted with many memories from the past. You get to see varieties of stamps. " This is not a well known place but it is a treasure trove of history especially in the segment where you can try on wooden clogs and learn about spices and view old school post boxes. The stamp displays are according to themes and change every few months making return visits interesting always. Small kids would enjoy the intereactive and fun displays. " The museum is gonna be fun for kids, but there's not much going on. The gift shop is a hit though and no need to pay the entrance fee to check it out. It's a great place to pick up souvenirs. "

" The people working there are every kind and friendly, the shop has a great variety of old and recent stamps from Singapore to foreign countries. The place is very clean and beautiful and very interesting to see. As well as the exhibition is frequently change, makes it all worth while to come back again to check the new exhibitions. Not only that, you can also create custom stamps by placing your own favourite photo into a sheet of 5 stamps for $25. Anyway, the place is very amazing and a fun place to bring your kids with and open up their mind in history, culture about local and foreign countries. Would recommend to people to come here and definitely will keep going to the museum frequently "

I came to discover more about philately. I saw mostly a bunch of stamps on display and for sale with uninteresting descriptions.
It is difficult to get people excited but think about how stamps are nostalgic and bring that emotion out from the older generation, and a new sense of wonder in the young. It is possible to get people to write letters and send mail the old fashioned way. Why not display the technology of stamp making and postal services of the past, present, and future?
And your shop... hardly any miniature sheets? You need revenue, right? You need to sell things many people will buy, not the old stamps that a few old people sometimes pick up... maybe stock some international first day covers and stamps. Or have a letter writing station with stamps and stationery for sale... "

" I was surprised how informative the exhibits are, this is a great place for those interested in Singapore history but it is also really well set up for kids as well. The current exhibition of decorative eggs is also good and the tie in to the philately is also very clever. Give it a try it's worth a visit. 8sgd for non resident is quite reasonable. "

" Went a few months back when they had the Harry Potter exhibition. Entrance is free for Singaporeans and PRs. The museum is very small but surprisingly packed with interesting stuff. Harry Potter exhibition was in a small room. They had Shakespeare's works in another room. Then there was some musical performance. Good. "

" I was really surprised at this Museum. It is a hidden gem in Singapore. The exhabits were absolutely great. It started slow with the reproduction post cards and children areas but the egg display was great. The miniature postal boxes were interesting. The child exhabits was even interesting. I highly recommend and only $S8.00 for an adult. "

" One of the best ways to delve into Singapore’s history, culture and heritage is through its stamps. The postal service, first introduced by the British gives an interesting perspective into the development of Singapore into what it is today. I collected stamps when I was a kid, and never had I thought to look at it as a history record of sorts until I met the GM of the Singapore Philatelic Museum, Ms Tresnawati Prihadi who shares that the museum’s collection of stamps tells a story of Singapore’s past. If you really think about it people from all over the known world share stories and news through the post, and it was the main form of communication. I remember lining up to buy First Day Covers as they commemorate a milestone achievement of occasion in the national history of the country. Today, it is sad to think that stamps and the postal service and with it the art of letterwriting is dwindling because of email, social networks, whatsapp, etc, but back then, the Post was the form of communication of the world. "
