Jakarta Water Supply Regulatory Body (Badan Regulator Pelayanan Air Minum DKI Jakarta) is an independent and professional institution. JWSRB established based on :- Article 51 of Cooperation and Agreement between PAM JAYA with PALYJA & AETRA (as Amended and Restated as of 22 October 2001) concerning Clean Water Supply and Service Improvement of Jakarta.- Laws of Governor of DKI Jakarta No. 118/2011 concerning Jakarta Water Supply Regulatory Body.STATUS(1) The Regulatory Body shall have the status as an independent and professional body that is free from the influences and power of other parties including each Parties in the Cooperation Agreement.(2) In its capacity the Regulatory Body shall have to issue decisions in term of regulation and mediation with regard to the drinking water management and service in the Region based on transparency and professionalism principle. (3) The decisions of the Regulatory Body on the issues/problems involving other parties or bodies/ institutions, shall be submitted and or forwarded to the Parties and other bodies/institutions that have higher authority by taking into consideration the provision and relevant (existing) laws and regulations.(4) The decisions of the Regulatory Body shall be binding and implemented by the Parties, however, they shall still follow the mechanism of resolving disputes as stipulated in Article 45 of the Cooperation Agreement.FUNCTIONRegulatory Body shall have the function to maintain balanced interest between the public, the cooperating Parties, and other bodies/institutions in the effort to undertake water service provision in the Region.
