" This hotel is a bit tired re furnishing and the carpet really should be replaced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our first night didn't start that well, room 832 river facing beautiful view except the double room was only equipped for a single person, we had to ask for nearly every item we needed, toothbrush, towel, bathrobe, were also unlucky having arrived without our luggage, what arrived the next day. The staff makes up for the pitfalls, food good and good selection. Besides all the hotel is a very comfortable to stay, with a beautiful view from our room. "

" Hilton is a wonderful hotel at the heart of the Kuching city. Location is really great as you can find shopping malls, waterfront etc in walkable distances. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Have to mention the breakfast which was fantastic. Room was spacious with an office table and a comfortable bed. You can make a coffee/tea by yourself. Wifi was really fast. "

" This review is about their Western restaurant "Steakhouse". For me THE place to go for decent and classic Western food in Kuching. No fusion!! The menu is not that big, but there is sufficient variety. The setting has a romantic twist with a nice view on the river. The service is impeccable as can be expected from such a restaurant. Price is of course not cheap, but one gets the real stuff. Instead of wannabees with fusion food. First some warm crunchy bread with butter was served. We shared a prawn cocktail with melon and avocado (big portion can easily be shared). Then had a truly good chateaubriand (of course also for 2) with a choice of vegetables (the spinach was yummy) and potatoes. To end with a deep flavour chocolate cake and coffee. Their red house wine was good too. A restaurant for a leisurely dining out evening.
Although one spends quite an amount of money, Hilton still charges a flat fee for parking! "

" I were just commenting on the room and facilities at the Hilton Kuching, I'd say the furnishings and location are terrific, but the building is definitely ready for a renovation. The buffet breakfast is first-rate, and well worth including as part of your stay.

But a hotel is more than just a bed, desk, and breakfast buffet, and the staff at the Hilton Kuching stand out for being extremely capable, warm, and dedicated to their guests in ways other hotels can only hope for. We unwittingly put the Hilton Kuching team to the test on a recent stay, where a health scare brought the hotel's doctor and much of the staff up to our room for an impromptu visit. In spite of some language barriers, the team was incredibly helpful, well-trained, and quickly and calmly helped address the situation. Were that the only interaction with the staff, that would have been enough, but it was just the standout event of two visits we made to the Hilton, where we experienced seamless service from check-in to checkout and everything in-between.

While the Hilton could do with some capital improvements, everything is extremely well maintained, clean, and overall a great value. The location can't be beat, and is extremely convenient for the waterfront and walking the city. The Hilton Kuching was a standout experience in our visit to Sarawak, and we'd return in a heartbeat. "

" Hilton everywhere is Hilton. No question about the room setup and the amenities. Location - still preferred compared to the other few international brands... Just a little used....
Morning breakfast having a great varieties. The bakery stuff is great... Among the hot cakes is the croissant!!!
Having a big swimming pool, now the children pool is opened just that the poolside makan/eatery is not operational.
Recommended if visiting kuching and wanted a better stay. "

Not great service if arriving to breakfast late, however the hotel staff were really fantastic when we were in the midst of dealing with a medical emergency during our stay, which more than made up for it. " Hotel has recently gone under renovation so the rooms are tip top, unfortunately the prices have gone up as a result. Overall good quality for the money, just stay away from the chinese restaurant Toh Yuen. Not only are they extremely over priced, but we had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive, and the quality of the food was appalling. The fact that the restaurant was completely abandoned at lunch should have been an indicator to us to stay away. "
