" The Bedok South Niu Ji Fried Prawn Noodles here is delicious and a must-try. It is one of the most authentic ones I've tried, with wok hei* and generous serving of deep fried pork lard. The fried prawn noodles is dry and flavourful largely because of the absorption of the soup essence in the beehoon and noodles.
04 June 2016The Yong tau foo (with a large SG50 logo) here is great too, similar to the style of the famous Koo kee Yong tau foo found in a lot of food courts out there.
*Wok Hei is the "essense" imparted by the wok when stir-frying over very high heat. The characteristic flavor is due to the Maillard reactions and the charring of the ingredients. "

" The fishball noodle here is very popular! Usually there's a long queue for it. The Japanese food here is not bad too. Try the soy beancurd here, it's very authentic. There's plenty of seating here and it's very windy too. :) "
