" Situated on the more quiet part of the island with good snorkling nearby. Tip: go into the water at Bambu Cottages and swim away from coast. Do use water shoes! The Kaluku resort has some very nice cottages with good value for money. Very clean and well decorated even. The pool is small and warm, but just go to the sea! Breakfast is included and great in terms of quality and quantity. They even have a backup generator but the AC is not connected just the lights which is fine by me. "

" Nice place on Gili Air. Super polite and nice staff incl. staff from the restaurant. Rooms are clean and nice. Fridge and AC works well. Wifi is simply hell-doesnt work at all. Outdoor bathroom is awesome. Minus is tap water is salt :/ As in the swimming pool. "

" Beautiful room, rent bikes and snorkeling gear really good stuff! Hotel restaurant opens onto the beach which has some of the best snorkeling on the island! Found turtles there! Staff very helpful and kind. "

" We stayed her 2 nights. It is not an exceptional stay, but also not bad. Room was clean. Beautiful open air bathroom, but be careful as there can be ants everywhere. Nice hot water. No amenities, they only provide soap and shampoo. 5mnts walk from the port and the beach. What we love the most is the staffs as they are sweet and lovely. "

07 May 2016Located north east of gili air, 1.5 kilo from harbor area which is more active at night. and it's good location for sunrise in a quiet atmosphere.
Rooms are traditionally design and quite clean.
But they don't provide toothbrush and paste.
The hotel only has breakfast, for luch and dinner you have to go to other restaurants. "

" Am a little confused by the pictures of a swimming pool - it must be new! The huts were very comfortable and spacious. A great stay here. They needed a bit of a re-vamp/dust, however the outside bathroom was wonderful. A lovely stay. "

" We stayed here for one night and two days. We had a great stay, good rooms, good service, very nice sweet owner! I asked my girlfriend to marry me here, so yes I can recommend this resort. Nice swimming pool. Some times the power of the island goes out put that gives it a romantic atmosfeer. "

" My partner and I stayed at the Kaluku Bungalows for 5 days early August. And given how tiny the island is, I could have forgiven a few shortcomings, but nope, these bungalows had everything to ensure a thoroughly pleasant stay.
23 August 2015Theyre in a prime location, not in the centre, near the main Port but up the beach a bit. Ideal in my opinion because its nice and quiet, but still not too far that you cant go for a short walk and find a nice restaurant on an evening.
The room itself has all the essentials. Large comfy bed, TV, fridge, safety deposit box.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and make a very nice fruit smoothie in the mornings. They'll also arrange to wash your clothes for an affordable rate.
Just remember to ask them if you need new towels...they wont come in an automatically change them.
Oh the bathroom is quite cool, its in a little open air extension outside of the bungalow. Theres something quite liberating about doing your business under the stars..
Anyway, excellent place on an excellent island. Highly recommend. "
