" We enjoyed this place for its uniqueness. It has a cool laid back vibe with easy socialising. We stayed in the tree house which was great but it is very rudimentary. Location on Gili Meno is fine. "

" The dorms are located in the bungalows towards the back of the site. Unfortunately they are above a saltwater bog which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. I was in the banana bungalow which looked great, I especially liked the use of bin tang caps to decorate the steps but now they are rusting so flip flops are necessary. I stayed one night but cut my stay short because my bed had bed bugs (they had a welcome party on my arms and ankles!)

It's a nice concept but now the place is for sale the atmosphere has all but died, broken things aren't fixed so there was an outdoor cinema but the projector was broken, a wood burner pizza stove but no one knows how to operate it.

On the plus side there area by
the bar has books, board games and a variety of musical instruments. And you can see a
Great view of the sunrise on this side of the island from behind the mountain (or maybe it's a volcano) on lombock.

I can imagine with some love and attention this place can be great again and it's a great place to go for a beer and walk around but it's nothing like the videos on YouTube and Facebook. I recommend you check out the facilities for yourself before staying and only book 1 night at a time as there are no refunds should you have any issues.

Breakfast is no longer included which really made this hostel more expensive then some of the hotels on the same island. Considering it's just one small family relying on the help of volunteers who pay to stay, this is really expensive. The worst part is you cannot see any of that money being invested to improve the hostel. "

" If you want to keep things simple, don't mind giving up some comforts, walking around barefoot & getting a bit dirty, this place is perfect. Open space, keeps things natural, & the beach within jumping distance. If you want to at least get a sense of what it's like to live like an Indonesian, then this is pretty close. Great authentic experience. If you enjoy spending more time on wifi then interacting with others, or are afraid to get out out if your comfort zone, then go to one of the resorts down the road. "

" Good place if you are a backpacker and you are looking for something cheaper on the Gili island. However, to much hippie for me! Hahahaha the toilets are disgusting. "

" The hostel was nice, alot lovely details. I like the showers there are made out of Bambus, but the water was salty. The toilets are environment friendy like the whole hostel. A great idea to use the toilet excrements to grow plants for food and other stuff.
But for me it's ridiculous to charge 110.000IDR for a hammock. You also don't get WiFi and clear showers. "

" For 110k IDR pp you get: 1 hammock, simple breakfast.
What you don't get: WiFi, hot showers, unsalted water (yeah, showers are salty), WC, Power.
Seriously, spend a little bit more and you get so much more and a better sleep in a bed instead of a hammock. 110k is way too much.

Okay to be positiv: it's clean and has a cool look. Perhaps you meet some people.

But my opinion: Not recommended, I'll never come again. "
