" If atmosphere and tranquility is what you are looking for. If basic accommodation is a plus for you and you can live without hot water and TV. Than this place is for you. The owner is very knowledgeable about Kei and his colourful character is included for free. And did I mention to very good food they prepare. "

" Being back in bali makes me realize how special my experience at savana cottages was. The atmosphere that Gerson and Lucy have created for their tiny 4 bedroom operation is really something, the main cabin had a pirate ship feel to it, all cabins are smack on the beech, there's a couple of chairs and hammocks for lounging on the beach, or in the shade (still on the beach) all in relative privacy.

Rooms are small, but you don't come here to stay in your room. Motorbike rentals were 50k a day, which is cheaper than coaster cottages (100k i think).

The beach is quite special, but very much a comfortable huge bathtub experience at high tide, and fun to explore by foor at low tide. And when you want a more classical beach, pasir panjang (long beach over by coasters) is only 15 mins by motorbike.

Meals were fantastic both in flavor and volume, fish or chicken, the fish varies according to the daily whims of the gods, the chicken is just reslly tasty (better than western factory chickens). Tofu and tempeh is often served in addition to meat/fish, and Lucy and co. Will accommodate vegetarians no problem, just ask. Breskfadt you can have whenever you want after you get up, dinner is at a fixed time (about 7 pm), although when i arrived back late one night Lucy still offered to fix me food. Dinner is great for conversation with the other guests, who tend towards the more interesting and travelling experienced of the spectrum.

At first i thought i would move over to coasters at half time, but after visiting coasters, the only thing they have over savana is their beach. The atmosphere is much more pleasant and has character at savana, you can tell that the owner is directly involved in running the place (coaster is owned by westerners and only managed by locals).

Thanks Gerson & Lucy for a wonderful time on Kei! "

" A tranquil place, only 4 simple rooms available with detached bathrooms. The place provides basic food and drink.

The beach is shallow, you can walk up to 400 meters to the sea when low tide.

There's ancient painting on the rock nearby. Worth a visit. "

" We spent a night at their beach to have take away food and drinks. It's a relaxed place with a nice view.
Note: you have to pay a fee to go to the beach to locals "
