" Very acceptable hotel for this area. Clean, modern rooms by western standards. Similar in quality to a Hilton. Restaurant has a nice, but not resort like breakfast buffet. Eggs to order, fruit, toast and Asian food. "

" We were at the Grand Kecubung for lunch on 5/1/18 for a group lunch with the Orangutan Foundation International (OFI). We returned on 5/4/18 for a group dinner and lodging over-night. The service and food were good on both occasions. For our over-night stay, our room was clean. Shower needs to have a shower curtain so there is not water flooding the bathroom while taking a shower. The one BIG critical issue is, the steps down to dining area are not well-lit. I took a tumble down the last stair of the stairwell in darkness as walking to the dining area. The steps are dark and blend into a dark carpeting/rug at bottom of the steps. As I fell, my head/face hit the glass doors into dining area- I was very lucky my head or face did not break the glass. I strongly recommend significant lightening be available at all times of the day in this stairway. "

" Probably the best in the area but far from what is expected. They didnt have double bed do they just put two single ones together. The room clean enough but could be better. The walls with wall paste in many places. Shower spilled water everyway abd shampoo comb etc very bad quality. The bathroom was nice and clean though "

" It's okay for what it is- hotel in small town. There is no hot shower and the room in old wing was a bit run down. "Spa" is basically a room with sunken bed but the masseuse was good. Breakfast so so but service at breakfast was great. "

" We were expecting more for what we paid. The positive is that the bed was clean and the hotels apparent beauty. The big negative was that we had no hot water, and after 3 days in the jungle all we wanted was a nice shower. The food was sub par, and if you care about nice details, this is not the place for you. "
