Our movement start on February 14th, 2014 when we called ourselves GAMeS-Gerakan Ayu Menanaman Sayur (Eng: Planting Vegetables Movement). This movement was founded by Mr. Edi Gunawan as a leader for small group of volunteers. It was small action in few activity point in Semarang City focused on urban farming promotion as an alternative for urban society to make healthier environment by planting their own food start from their families. We started with two activity center at Kembangarum & Mijen. Those has chosen as urban farming sampling to be involving wider area in Semarang City. We focus on program socialization, training & assisting, controlling, and evaluation of the program. All the budget was received from society and local government. After 2 year contract with some stakeholders, we found that economic development and education as the aspects that we need to be added to this program. And by the time the movement no only happen in Semarang city but some city surrounding Semarang such as Salatiga, Jepara and etc. The output of this program was to create ‘Green Agent' in each village in Semrang city. Green Agent will take a role as a leader on their area to make their environment more clean and productive. GAMeS founder, Mr Edi Gunawan along with two social activist Mr Itsnani Mardlotillah & Mrs Siti Lathifah Rodja made a commitment to establish social enterprise to accommodate all the need from our target group, especially about economic development toward this program.
