Indonesian Forestry Certification Cooperation (IFCC) as the PEFC National Governing Body develops standards and requirements for forest certification using PEFC (Programme for The Endorsement of Forest Certification) schemes in consensus based multistakeholder processes. Forest certification standard developed by the IFCC is not limited to forest certification, forest products including industrial processing and chain of custody.

As a national organization that initiate and execute the implementation of the PEFC scheme in Indonesia (referred as the National Governing Body in PEFC Scheme), and as an official member of the PEFC in Indonesia, IFCC perform the following activities :

Promote sustainable forest management.
Coordinate and develop further the implementation of the PEFC scheme as a credible forest certification schemes in Indonesia.
Build mutually beneficial cooperation between the business community and the civil society in achieving sustainable forest management.
Initiate and execute the implementation of the PEFC scheme in Indonesia.
Build a relationship of mutual respect and productive with all relevant stakeholders, both in Indonesia and internationally. Not limited to inter-agency cooperation, communication and publications.
Cooperate with the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) in Indonesia.
Provide education and training auditors, exam of profession.
Improve human resource ability for using information and communication technology.
Improve people’s comprehension of public information services with technology of information and communication.
Research and develop technology of information and communication section.
Improve the ability of stakeholders who involved in disaster area for using technology of information and communication for emergency response program.
