" Taman Budaya Tionghoa is a Chinese theme cultural park where they displayed things that is related to the Indonesian Chinese culture , it is made as a recreational and educational park. The park was constructed according to the Chinese traditional house as they said, but base on my personal opinion , it only took some of Chinese style, where it is not necessary look like Chinese traditional house.
22 March 2018You can find Chinese zodiac park, where 12 Chinese zodiac were displayed there. Some other statues can also be found here, like ‘The Legend of Sun Go Kong', the statue of Khong Hu Cu, Chinese national hero John Lie, etc.
There is this monument that caught my attention, that the monument of ‘Monumen Perjuangan Laskar Tionghoa dan Jawa Melawan VOC’, the monument reminds us that during war against the Dutch soldiers, where Chinese people during that time were fighting side by side with the native Indonesian people. And the oppression that the Dutch government gave was not only to Indonesian native people, but also toward the Chinese people at that time.
Other than that, I don’t really found anything that is interesting to me anymore in this park, but well we were passing Taman Budaya Tionghoa on our way to the Cheng Ho and Hakka Museum. "
