" I accompanied my friends from Denmark and German to go in there. It's European architecture I would say: beautiful, some gothic style, modern.
Parking lot is big enough.
One way big street area.
The traffic is not really bad. "

" The most pompous ass church in jakarta.. the security and people who came to work in this church i think thought they are the most holy people who will be accepted in HEAVEN. I came to pray and make a 2 times turning round the church street area .. they closed all the door .. and at the second time right in front of me one person open the door for other car and let the car get in. I ask the same thing but turning a deaf ear upon my request. For God Sake .. theres no more car behind me.. and theres no mass to attend to at that time. And i know for sure there will be parking place since 2 or 3 cars at that time also coming out from the church... this church really turn down my appetite for catholic isme... there no Conciece, love and Humblisme in this church at all... and i VOICE IT LOUD THERE... and will not come back to this CHURH ANYMORE... 👹 "

" A must-see for anyone visiting Jakarta, or if you live in Jakarta. All religions more than welcome to explore the peaceful nature of this cathedral.

A neo-gothic Roman Catholic church that was first built in 1901. Located across the street from the beautiful Istiqlal mosque, a reminder that many religions walk this Earth and all faiths should be respected.

Inside, high ceilings boast incredible archways that make you feel tranquil. People come here to sit in the pews. There is no entrance fee.

Small birds fly about the church, echoing chirping noises. At first, I thought this was a recorded effect, but no. These birds are real and add to the enchanting ambiance.

Toilets available. Ladies, bring toilet paper if you need it. There is soap, but no paper towels.

Currently, 'The Church of Our Lady of Assumption,' is under construction. The 60 meter tall spires are being reinforced, but the church is totally open to explore. "
