" Although the taste of the food is not bad, the price is too high. The service itself was quite good, but the staffs always yelling something that even an Indonesian cannot catch the words "

" 1. Place is homey. That's what you can expect from a group who also manage Cassis Kitchen.
03 March 20182. Talking about Cassis Kitchen and the same group.. Staff attitude I got here was totally different from Cassis. Three staffs out of six or seven were rude, not smiling, didn't look at us in the eye when talking and when showing us where the toilet was.
3. Food... Not bad, but not good either. Nasi goreng wasn't that good. Soto was.. okay. Fruit juice? They're joking.
Overall, you come here for the ambiance.
If you really wanna taste great Indonesian cuisine, I suggest you go to Citywalk Sudirman—a mall next to this place, and find lots of BETTER and authentic Indonesian cuisine there. "

" Harum Manis is a nice Indonesian restaurant downtown. The food is tasty, especially the satay (skewers). However, it is on the expensive side, and the decor is less interesting than at the similar restaurant Lara Djonggrang. "

" Indonesian traditional dishes served in a fine dining ambience. Some of the more simple dishes are elevated and given a five star treatment (this is my posh way of saying I don't know how the heck they do it) and the result is really good, the dishes I'm talking about are the bakwan jagung and the really divine durian creme brulee. Other dishes are all satisfactory, they still hit all the mark with the rich seasoning that is the reason why Indonesian food is so delicious, despite losing some edge for the lack of spice and hotness. I do firmly believe that the best Indonesian food is found at homes and on the street, but at times, you just want to eat satay and lodeh in style, "

" Top notch Indonesian restaurant serving extensive dishes from different region. Good quality food, attentive service and pricy. For me more like the resto you go for business dinner though. "
31 July 2016Irfan Rinaldi
" A fancy Indonesian restaurant, they serve a fine dining style full course menu. I think they toned down the spiciness of the menus to cater foreigners. However if you really into authentic Indonesian flavors, this isn't the place. "

" Fancy Indonesian restaurant. Service was great, but food was standard.. "

" Harum Manis is one of the places you go to when you have friends coming from abroad and you want them to have a proper taste of Indonesian food without worrying about them having stomachache afterwards.
22 March 2016Among many other great food, their hit menu is always their selections of satay. I'd suggest to try some of the traditional dessert too! They rarely fails, especially if you're a sweet tooth. "

" One of my friends recommended me this place, and I had a chance to eat there with my parents when I was in Jakarta a few weeks back. This is definitely an upscale Indonesian food. If you want to try some good Indonesian dishes but afraid of getting a stomachache, this is definitely the place :). The price isn't cheap (by Indonesian standard). We ordered 3 dishes with rice and total cost for the 3 of us is about $60. Not bad for American standard, but definitely a luxury in the country. The food itself was delicious. Make sure to try the suckling goat. You usually can only get this dish when attending fancy Indonesian wedding. I kid you not! As for the rice, they will offer you different varieties of rice. I chose the green rice. I have no idea how they made it, but it taste good. Overall it's a nice place for a date night, or if you want to have a good time with friends and/or families. "
