With little financial support from the campus, EDS Surya was one of the most active and accomplishing extracurricular activities in the newly established Surya University at the time, in terms of (1) achievements in competitions, (2) number of active members, and (3) frequency and consistency of regular meetings and activities.We received 14 trophies & 75 achievements (2015-2018) and organized 4 public speaking seminars with a total of 415 participants (2015-2017).Trophies and achievements in the club include:• Debating team, i.e. champion, runner up, or finalist/semifinalist in major competitions• Individual debater, i.e. best speaker or top x speakers in major competitions• Individual adjudicator, i.e. accredited adjudicator, or breaking adjudicator (eligible and selected to adjudicate in elimination rounds, e.g. semifinal and final rounds) in major competitions
