" I rarely give 1-star reviews. I was so disappointed with this place - I couldn't even finish the majority of the meal, and I was extremely hungry. Even the service was lackluster. It's a shame because I was really hoping to find more good sushi places. I'd be happy to try again and review if it's gotten better. "

" Authentic home-cooked food. Don't expect perfect Japanese food like you will find in fine Japanese restaurants, but tasty classics cooked and presented with obvious care. We eat a lot of Japanese food, including during many visits to Japan and found this to hit the spot nicely when we were craving something different from Indonesian food. Also the trip out here especially during the day is a great way to escape the crowds in central Ubud. We didn't try sushi or sashimi, so cannot comment on that. But we had okonomiyaki, fried pork set and mixed tempura and thought they were great. "
