" The hordes of tourist busses have unfortunately destroyed the original taste. Sayur urab without balinese bumbu, no ferasi, no cekuh, the filling no spices. I do understand that tourist can't eat spicy but then ibu oka should still have the spicy and non spicy option. Sambal on the table had no taste. No terasi. 55.000 +10% rp for a portion of bali guling without balinese taste. Very disappointing. Nothing for Indonesian . Better visit Warung Adi or Men Weti in Sanur, or Babi Guling Ibu Dwi in Nusa Dua. "

" I was overcharged by the waiter. I noticed they have two different order form in the end, one is the usual prices and the other one is more expensive.
15 April 2017I came with a group of 25 people during lunch time. It was not that crowded. I took a menu book, but then a lady waitress grabbed the menu in my hands and gave me the new one which is more expensive. I complained but the lady said the price had raised since last week. I ordered 25pax of nasi babi special but it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come. When i paid, i saw order form that stated the origin price, which was cheaper. I complained but again the waitresses said that was old price. Funny.
To add that bad experience, the taste was not as expected, and the service was overall bad and slow.
This is my first experience having bad service and attitude in a famous restaurant in Bali.
Hope it won't happen to others. "

" There seem to be many 'Ibu Oka' restaurants listed here, but we know this one as the original. Go for lunch and arrive early to avoid disappointment. Great pork of course! You can stand by the kitchen (which is by the cashier) and watch the pigs being carved and stripped. Great authentic Indonesian experience. "

" The warungs, like most local restaurants in Bali, is luxurious compared to similar restorans in Malaysia and even in Singapore. Palm fronds sway gently as a slight breeze sweeps through a high ceiling building. You sit on a straw mat, eating your food from a low, sturdy, wooden table. Very local.
12 January 2016However, for all the hype that Babi Guling received, I was expecting something closer to the pleasure derived from eating great american BBQ, or a german pork knuckle. It was nice pork, with a variety of textures, but nothing to write home about. If you're thinking of shelling out to get here, Babi Guling at your local warung might turn out to be a solid alternative. "

" Bad service. Packed with Chinese tourists. Couldn't get a table. Finally got a table and couldn't get food because they were sold out of half the things on the menu. Food was overpriced and average taste. Beware. "
