" A bit expensive entrance fee, this location is a mixture between nature, religion, and culture. Being here you can see the greens and feeding the fishes. There are also stepstones in the fishpond so you can take a (very) nice photo surrounded by the fishes near you.

There are statues, Hindu temple, and some water sprouts too. I'm sure you can take a nice photos here. ;) "

" Entrance fee 30,000 per person. 5,000 for 3 bags of fish food that I wish I bought.

Not a huge place but it was very beautiful. Loved the stepping stones around the lake/pond. Instagram fans will enjoy it alot.

Just outside the entrance is a small shop that has animals you can hold and have pictures taken with. pay donations for photo opportunities. Babys owls/bats/iguana/snakes and more. "

" A very nice water palace, you are allowed to swim. Historically the place is owned by the Raja of Amlapura, the place was destroyed by nature and rebuild several times. There is a good restaurant on the grounds. Decide beforehand if you want to make use of a guide, many of whom are advocating their services at the entrance. If you do some homework on the history it is possible to do it alone. Otherwise you can help the local economy. Anyway the visit was very enjoyable "

" Very beautiful garden with water features and statues. I liked the fish (buy dime food and feed them) and the stepping stones on the water, the big fontain...
The place is not that big but is well mantained. It has also a swimming pool.

The entrance was 30000 idr per person in 2018 "

" I enjoyed this place so much! Beautiful park, nice small ponds with lot of fishes. Recommend to buy the fish food before you will enter. Feed the fishes and be ready to make pictures. Very funny.
You can also swim there in one part.
Go around all parts, there is lot to see also in the corners of area. Lot of statues, green plants and calming sound of water.
You can find accomodation here as well on the top of the hill in bungalows, which are hidden in the plants. It must be very nice.
We had a lunch in restaurant inside and also highly recommend. Prices are little bit higher, but not so much, that you will not enjoy the view from teracce. "

" Amazingly beautiful location. Freshwater pools are a joy to swim in. Full of fish... it is like swimming in a river. Two 50 mtr. pools to swim in. A very unique experience. The rest of the water palace is spellbinding too.
Excellent service at the Tirta Ayu restaurant and hotel. Do not miss if you are in Bali. "

" Beautiful Water Palace!

Our visit to this former palace of the Balinese Royal Family in Karangasem, the eastern part of this island of gods and goddesses was incredible.

By the time you step into this beautiful park, your eyes will feast with lush green garden and maze of fountains and clear water pools. The statues, the lay out and the natural setting of the palace is awesome. Everywhere you look it's just simply beautiful.

It took us around one hour from Denpasar to go here.
Worth a visit indeed. "

" beuatiful place, not to overrun when i was there, nice restaurant as well. no annoying people inside who try to sell stuff, it was great. For the restaurant expect prices to be a little bit higher then average since it is within the park and makes dishes of a very high quality. I was not dissapointed at all, tirta gangga is definitly something one must visit if making homiday on bali. "

" The other review is correct, this is NOT the right place. Look for Taman Tirta Gangga, Ababi, Abang, Karangasem Regency, Bali 80852. It's on the far east side of Bali. If it weren't for some extremely nice locals, we'd have never figured out where we needed to be. "

" My favorite temple so far in East Bali. Hopping around the carved stepping stones in the pools had a certain Indiana Jones feel to it. Also really appreciated the demon statues in the back right corner. "

" This is one of the most impressive temple in Bali. If you want to feed the fish, I recommend to bought big package of fish food because it's much cheaper that tiny pack one. "

" The complex comprises of huge area of large waterbody and fountains with lots of stone sculptures, statues and water tower. There are also few koi ponds, lotus ponds to see.Few restaurants are there within the complex as well as just outside.Ample parking space is available.Souvenir shops are also there outside the complex.Place is always crowded with locals mainly at weekends. It's a good place to visit in eastern Bali trip. " Небольшое, но очень красивое место. Много фонтанов, скульптур и рыбок. Во дворце можно поплавать в бассейнах за небольшую плату. На конец 2016 вход 20 000, бассейн 10 000 "

" Awesome place! 12k IDR entrance and 10k for the swimming pool. Crystal fresh water. Bring your swimming suit!!! 👙💦
Usual annoying local "guides" at the entrance asking for money, but not really pushy like in other temples. "

" This location was originally a private garden for the royal family of the principality and features a great mix of victorian and balinese design. Its one of the more interactive temples we visited and it has a really peaceful surrounding area.
Only downside it's quite far to travel there. "

Henri Treude

" It is a nice park with pools full of big and beautiful fishes. In some pools there are statues and pillars that end at exactly the water level enabling you to walk and explore on water. You should plan not more than 30 minutes for this adventure and it is not worth a long drive but while passing by, it is perhaps a good idea to make the stop. "

20 May 2016

Rémi Barraquand

" Nice and refreshing temple. Beautiful view, great for taking pictures. There is also a "pool" inside the temple to enjoy the water (10k for adult). I definitely recommend you to stop at this place but avoid all the touristic restaurants and market/animation at the entrance. "
