01 September 2016I have visited this place for many times. With some reviews about Enjung Beji resort, the place is ok, take superior cottage 1 or newly renovated family cottage. Simply don’t take the penthouse, superior cottage 2 or old family cottage.
Arrived at Enjung Beji by midday, three Balinese ladies took care of our belongings, which I think it's too many since we only bring one luggage each. Superior cottage 1 is a spacious cottage, comprise of one king size bed and one single bed. The single bed is by the window, viewing the garden and waterlily pond. Checked the toilet, it was clean, with a pair of clean towels, and free soap, as usual. The outdoor shower is covered by bushes, but I don’t plan to shower in the open as it is too chilling cold. Thanking the three ladies, and suddenly it was so quiet. Feel the parquet floor and look at the traditional wooden ceilings.
Take a walk to the lakeshore. Only a few tourists from Europe and mainland china. Remove my shoes, and soak my feet on the cold water of the deep blue lake. Glad to be back here.
The water temple seems to be crowded, some company outing tours made it look hectic. Somebody has cut down the tall tree with red flowers near the small pura.
On the next day, I woke up early in the morning. Staying at Enjung Beji gives me the luxury to visit the famous Ulun Danu Bratan temple anytime, and I can enjoy the temple all by myself in the morning. Took some pictures, and luckily, the morning rays gave a perfect lighting. Soon, buses of tourists came and the place is more like a bazaar than a magical temple. Took a ferry across the lake to the Bedugul Wana Villas resort, so hauntingly quiet.
In the afternoon, the place is dramatically become quiet again. Some people do the massive cleaning of the huge compound, I feel gratitude for them. Bought some steamed corns from Merta Sari traditional market, and enjoy the afternoon scenery until almost dark.
Sounds of crickets, the moon shine and ancient stars, try to have my own Van Gogh's starry night moment.
And the dogs were barking at the full moon heard from afar.
Pray to the moon to protect me before I go to sleep. "
