" In the last 5 years, I have been spending my time for celebrating Nyepi in Bali. Though, I'm myself not a Hindunese. But I'm always in love with the serenity atmosphere in Nyepi's night. This year, I planned to stay in a hotel that surrounded by trees, I wanted to feel greenery all around my home stay. And usually, due to the commemoration of Nyepi, the price of accommodation is lower than any other days. At the first time, I was interested at the cheap price of this hotel, therefore I tried to find some reviews and photos of views this hotel offered. And believe me, none of that reviews and photos are disappointing! It exactly was a home stay that I couldn't ever imagine before. The booking process was easy, and the staff was really informative. And the day when I stepped in DD Ubud Jungle Villa, oh gosh, it's much more beautiful than my most vivid imagination. Though I have to admit, that the road headed there is quite uphill from Ubud to the hotel. Around 10 kms of distance, but all along the road was covered in trees both sideways, so the fresh air is everywhere to be felt. The first time I stepped in there, I can hear surrounding me screamed "nature". The design, the stairs, the layout, the roof, looks like an ancient building. Though the staff said that the hotel was built around 2012. The room was neat, I love all the simplicity touch in it. The house itself majorly made from woods. I booked for twin bed at the moment, then I walked around my room and couldn't say anything but adoring all the architecture they had made. The bathroom is outdoor, accompanied by flush toilet. The shower that exactly under the sky, and a bathtub that enough for two medium sized person. All the touch is so natural, the temperature is pretty cool, so refreshing. When the night fell, we could hear the insects' sound all around. When I was Nyepi, at the night the stars were shining brighter than I could ever imagine. The pool is pretty small, but I love the infinity shape of it. Btw, I booked the "Bintang" room that offered the view of the valley and could see all the rooms right below my room. There is also a river that covered by grass, you couldn't see the stream whatsoever. The river's sound is pretty loud, however it wasn't annoying and could bring your sleep even tighter than the you usually do. The staff's hospitality is great! They always greeted me whenever they met me, and really helpful as well. The breakfast was pretty good, a humble presentation. Anyway, there was exactly nothing I could complained about when staying here. If there should be one, it's maybe the insects and bugs that may get inside my room. But they prepared a repel for it, so the insects wasn't counted as a flaw here. I really had my time for 3 days and 2 nights here. They also provided a shuttle bus to Ubud for free. I forgot the schedule since I didn't use it at all. Ah, there were many fireflies in the night. It's a lovely sightings before I went sleep. Try this hotel, and experience what I have been! A great one, of course. "

" Stop the chainsaws..
20 January 2018Booked 3 nights here via scoopon and will be glad to leave. There is NO motorbike hire as some previous reviewers have suggested. The breakfast is passable, shuttle to ubud available 10aud each way if outside of hours.
Icame here for the peace and quiet , would have been better stayi g in central ubud with cheaper and better quality food - who on earth suggested that grated cheese on a banana fritter was a good idea "

" Accommodation..beautiful, location...stunning, restaurant...Just not up to expectations and hygiene concerns, staff...lovely, some work being carried out when we were there in low season which was distracting. Truly idyllic place, but needs better restaurant care. "

" We chose this place for our last night at Bali, and that was a top choice :) it is secluded, you have great view of the jungle, the pool is nice, rooms are authentic. Quite a lot of mosquitos and ants, so be ready to really be in the nature. "
