" Truly living up to his name, this place is certainly a retreat! It is quite far up and elevation, which provides dramatic views of the landscapes. You can see a fantastic sunrise over the eastward mountain, and on a clear day maybe even see the ocean.
The rooms are very simple open cottages, so you will need to sleep within a mosquito net worth they provide. There is no air conditioning as listed since the rooms are not sealed, but they should come with at least a revolving fan. There is no private bathroom, but one should be nearby walking distance. The location is great if you're looking for a secluded getaway, but expect simple amenities at best (think glamping).
One big plus is that you certainly get a nice breakfast with a full fruit platter, hardboiled egg, fried banana and coffee/tea!
For the experience and views, without the expectations of a resort, I would give this 5 stars.

*at the time of this, their restaurant apparently didn't work and so if you want food they will deliver it from a nearby restaurant, but it is terrible with tiny portions, so be warned! "

" In a great spot half way up the mountain looking down onto Singhrajah. Ideal location for trekking to the waterfalls. Bob does a great tour for 500k which includes all of the entrance fees, lunch, local fresh fruits as well as their own secret hidden waterfall "

" This was the best place we have been so far in Bali. If you want to get away from the crowds and be surrounded by nature this is the place to be. Bob our guide and Jonathan our host we're just incredible. Bob showed us all around with the ''middle lenghth'' hike. Wish we could have had more time to do the long one. The waterfalls are not to miss!!
Have fun and respect the beauty that surrounds you, it will only stay this way if we all make these efforts.

" Bob made my day with the trek!! Worth doing if you are there! The place is nice wifi was ok but the cabin we were in had a big tilt and you could definitely feel it but it had a beautiful view and very relaxing! Breakfast is comp but nothing really special about it, we got deep fried dough 😬 with fruits and boiled eggs, oh if you are walking just remember it's supper hilly and steep but really beautiful "

" Super nice little wooden cottage. Beautiful garden/premises.

Unbelievable view down the mountains.

Very nice staff. John and his family managing the cottages, help out with questions and prepare breakfast.

A tour guide Bob gives recommendations and takes you through the nearby nature and waterfalls. Great person with positive energy. "

" Good points about this place: 1) Fantastic tranquil views of the sea, mountains and forest with a stream passing by below and sunrise in the morning. 2) Starry night sky in that locality 3) Excellent service for their healthy breakfast (fruits, eggs and fritters) where they brought it up to our room. 4) Good hospitality where they assisted us with bringing our motorcycle down the dangerous steep and sandy slopes. 5) Nearby waterfalls

Areas for improvement: 1) Bob, the main guide, said we would be going for a trek an hour after their breakfast. However, we were not informed that this was an additional activity we were supposed to pay for and there was no mention of price. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the trekking through the paddy rice fields, forest trails and dipping in the fun-filled waterfalls, we were unpleasantly surprised to be notified near the end of the whole experience that it'd cost 500k rupiah per pax. Hence, PLEASE remember to check and try to negotiate a better more reasonable price for the trekking before agreeing to it. "

" An escape to nature. Most rooms do not have air conditioning, but you really don’t need it at night with the cool mountain air. This place is for people who want to get in touch with nature once more. To leave behind the internet and retreat to the sounds of Mother Nature in the mountains.

A narrow, unpaved dirt path takes you to the entrance of this beautiful bungalow resort. There is a restaurant on site that offers a variety of Western and Indonesian cuisine. Everything is made to order, and all that is served is fresh. Their Fish and Chips were what we loved, along with the fresh fruit selections.

Each bungalow offers spectacular views, especially during sunrise. If you can, wake up at 5:30AM to catch the beautiful colors of sunrise over the mountains, and say good morning to Bob. He is the trekking guru who built all the waterfall paths you’ll find in Gitgit. It took him 17 years to establish the area to where it is now, and trust me when I say, pay 500,000 for the trekking adventure with him. It may seem steep compared to the price of the room you’re paying for, but Bob gives back to the community. Each step of way on the trekking adventure with Bob, you’ll meet locals whom Bob gives money to. Your money to. It does not all go to him or the resort. He does not need it. He has taught the children the value of being eco-friendly, so you’ll see much less trash around the area.

Jon is a manager at the resort and also a good person to introduce yourself to. He does all the marketing and is from Colorado, but lives here now. Excellent, vibrant energy.

Rice patties, clove trees, banana trees, guava, durian, jackfruit and coconuts are just a few of the crops you’ll get to discover along this land. They have herbs for all sorts of healing ailments - from headaches to diarrhea, just ask Bob to show you. He has a wonderful spirit and this place depends on his vision to keep the community humble.

Breakfast is included with your meals. Delicious fresh fruit from the morning markets. We were served a variety of Papaya, Jackfruit, Mango, and Dragon Fruit. Balinese Coffee or Tea, a boiled egg and fried sweet bread from an old Chinese lady at the market that Bob is friends with. They bring breakfast to your room at 8AM or earlier, so be prepared to wake up. You can go back to bed afterwards, but you may just want to stay up and explore the beautiful area!

The internet is pretty slow, so put your phones away and enjoy the escape. Our pocket wifi didn't work up here. Bungalows are private enough so you don’t see your neighbors. They have hammocks all over the property and a natural river runs its course down in the garden.
Bathrooms are shared. It is the perfect place to get away, but not the most easiest and most comfortable place to visit. Definitely worth the price for the scenery and the people you meet here. "

" Awesome place to spend some time in pure nature. John is really nice and helps with everything. We did the Waterfall tour with Bob and it was so great!! Bob told us a lot about the area, the people, the plants etc. We went sliding and jumping in the waterfalls and it was so much fun!!
The room is simple but clean and there is everything you need. The bathroom is outside of your room.
The view from the terrace - and also your place to have a delicious breakfast - is breathtaking!
Would recommend this place to everybody who visits Bali! Would stay there again! "

" It's nothing like a luxury place but something you should do at least once in your life. You can see the city lights down there being in the jungle. Super tasty breakfast and friendly staff. Amazing views, you can totally rest here. Although the toilet is a bit spartan and room is a bit hot during sunny days. "

" Amazing place in the forest with incredible view. Very nice and helpful staff that offers waterfalls trekking.
Keep in mind that it's nothing like 5 star hotel, so not every room has private bathroom (our room was more like tree house without bathroom) and there is no AC in the room.
5min on motorbike from cool waterfalls where you can do jumping sliding etc. "
