Never been here would try someday but worry about long & bad service i read from reviews here,,,i always go to money changer in ITC KUNINGAN on 1st floor (Valuta Artha Mas) is very small tenant comparing VIP but it has very good rates in Jakarta and quick service although in long queue...and also accept small and old money

The shop has many cashiers but they seemed buying times with their slow services, not recommended when you catch a plane to fly aboard. And the rate is unworthy. I once bought usd with rate xx300 idr while their updated hourly website mentioned the rate was: buy xx050 and for sell xx150. I also checked other common forex shop with sell rate of xx250. What a day.

Good rates, clear and updated regularly on its website. Long que and at times a little bit crowded. Friendly and professional staffs.

They need more counters and much more agile officers. A long queue is not something to be proud of.

Exchange rates are great if you exchange more than 1000 dollars. If less than that, do yourself a favour and find other money changers.
Officially they said they open at 08.30 but when the doors are open, none of the tellers do anything besides chatting with each other until 09.15. Their call centers are also the worst, you have to race with the machine to press the numbers or else they would hang up in just 1 second. Was trying to talk with a human one, but ended up waiting for a loooong time until they pick up the phone.

However, I will like to encourage you to improve on the following matter.
Reducing lines
It is widely known to all customers that to buy foreign currencies will take 2 to 3 hours if one comes in late morning.
Toilet
Please provide for toilet to be inside the office space. It's a basic human necessity, and improved service for everyone.
Security
Indonesia is not a safe country. If money is involved in VIP office, please allow security guards to carry guns. It will deter crimes in your vicinity.
Customer service
Poor customer service attitude. Money at times is unavailable in the morning at 9 am. As such we have to return sometime in the noon. Not to mention the customer officer has snobbish attitude

Opens at 8:30 but all transactions start around 8:55. Lucky to be there first. Spent 1 hour in total although im queue number 5 for USD to IDR transaction. Best rate. Gives more money than Google average results.

1. There are a lot of people working, but nobody seems to care about picking up the phone. Why bother having a phone/customer service..
2. Spent more than an hour waiting here. I went here cause this is closer to my office than the one at ITC Kuningan. Next time, I might choose going farther for much faster service.

The rate shown on the their website was not updated! I drove all the way from kalibata and wait for more than an hour to find that their rate is only 5 points different from other money changer near me (on website is 20 points diff) . I came at 11 am. Fortunately the staff nicely apologize and was friendly.Also please provide toilet for customers. And the call out better using speaker than just shouting out name. It was hardly heared

Very very very slow changer , its must have other name then VIP to not confuse the people. Is this correct name where people must seat on the floor for hours to change their money. I think this one the slowest from all money changers in the world that i ever visited in over 40 countries. Not worth waiting time if you change less then hundred thousand dollars. Other changers are not far different rates but service much better. Your life worth more then this stressfull waiting.

The notes are in bad conditions. When I asked to change, the staff was rudely ignored and said that's standard in this money changer. I agree with other arguments that the only thing that good is Only the rates (Actually There are many better money changer in Jakarta) The parking lot is small, slow motion & inefficient service - are the other bad things here. It's not worth to queue hours ( 2-3hours) just to get bad conditions notes & service.

I went here only because Ayu Masagung didn’t have JPY in stock. The service is so bad that you have to wait hours to get the notes.

Changing money is never fun, but this place is far more professionally-run and well-organized than most. They also accept bank transfers and provide clear receipts. It's about as positive a money changing experience as you can hope for (and a heck of a lot cheaper than the bank).

Good rate but long queue and not kind treatment, perfect place to waste at least 1 hour just for changing money with there inefficient system, there system not secure and not effective, like you in government office.

first experience and bad experience. long wait, you will not see if the customer service is care for you, they just ignore you. once you pay, you need to wait hours to receive the notes, and the notes are not in good conditions either. if you complain, they just ignore, they mentioned, its a standard procedure. the rates not good if you experience this and see the notes yourself. not recommended. my first experience was really bad.

Bad experirience. They do not have the notes, you have to pay first and come back later to collect the notes. Not recommended. The rates are not good as well

The exchange rate is great, although it is not the best. Still can't find the money changer that can beat the money changer in Citraland mall. Many counters to serve the customers. Need to do the ebanking remittance in front of the teller when you are doing the transaction.

Some of the best rates, but also some of the longest queues on the planet. Lots of tellers though, so keeps moving. Also some of the better exchange services.
Parking : 3/5 limited (paid) parking for cars on the grounds
Facilities : 2/5 not enough seats for those waiting

Great price, be careful the price may change in the morning and in the afternoon, so keep checking the web to keep the update. Upon arrival you'll get ticket number, it's separated between 1000 USD or more than 1000 USD. They'll ask you how much you need then you need to wait again to complete the payment. The great things here, they have several payment options such as debit card (many other money changers only receive cash). My friend got old JPY here and when we're arrived at Japan, the cashiers're confused but it still can be used though, so no worries.

Good rate despite the long queue during holiday season (july-august) . They only have 3 EDC: BCA, Permata Bank, and BRI. If you use another bank card, additional charge may be applied.
