Good place for tours. Walking friendly. Long bamboo pathway. It's a conservation mangrove forest. 3 stars for the weird rule for not allowing visitor bring camera. It's a costly charge for a SLR/DSLR. LU BAYAR Rp. 1.500.000 (Satu Juta Lima Ratus Ribu Rupiah) Kalau bawa kamera digital. GILA. MATRE sekali.

An Amazing place to spend some time with family, For photographers out there, this place just have a lot of landscapes that you can took. Even a trash can could be! The scenery is just relaxing, and nature-like. This Place is also close to PIK Avenue so you just can relax, take a coffe after a walk. The pricing ticket here is not that cheap, but, it is wallet friendly. It also have some resorts that you can stay in it. The place is HUGE. You could just take a morning jog here. The bad thing is that you should pay if you want to bring Digital Camera(except a phone's camera). Overall, everything is good, and no complaints!

Got bored with malls and buildings? You can try this conservation as an option. Get relaxed in the conservation forest. Best time to visit, in my opinion is around 3PM to 5PM. Not too humid.
You might want to leave your pro cameras since it is not allowed. Not sure why.

The weather was so hot in this area around Pantai Indah Kapuk, but when I got there it was pretty good to get nice pictures. It's a little bit pricey to enter this place, around 30 - 35 Rupiah for the weekend. They have a lot of spots and the mangrove area is large, there is lake too. Unfortunately, there are still many garbage. I hope there will be a stritch rules for everyone who visit there not to throw garbage everywhere. I hope this place is also can educate people to be more aware about garbage especially in a place like this, where there would be some wild animals that live there, so people won't ruin their habitat and the ecosystem.

Secluded enough with the bustling business and culinary area nearby. The place give a moment of silence with the sound of chat chat and bamboo path crunching as people walk around. There are plenty of birds, and the sound was so soothing, it lulled my mood. It's just that the place doesn't seem to be well maintained. Trashes were around the mangroves roots and some facilities were not that nice. There are so many possibilities to grow better. Toilets were good enough, just be careful with ones without bucket if you really need to wash, there is a shower but not with water jet. So, bucket is necessary.

The best place ever in Jakarta. Break your stress by visiting this place. Clear air, wildlife, and quiet place. But bad maintenance and food

Good place to look around with family and kids. Quite interesting place. Some play spots for kids and you should rent a boat to look around the mangrove area.

Good unspoiled nature at north Jakarta. Easy to reach using private vehicles. Reasonable ticket. Big camera is not allowed unless getting the special permit with much higher cost around IDR1.500.000. Mobile phone camera is allowed.
Some types of simple boat / canoe are available for rent.

Here's for taking a breath for a while in the biggest city in Indonesia. Easy to get there but minim cafetaria or food court whereas we could not bring any food inside. I love the masjid but please give as a roof to get through the masjid

Good place to enjoy nature consider it is in jakarta. Better come in the morning. Unfortunately it has tremendous trash like everywhere. Plastics, bottle, you name it. People should consider more when they want to trash. School or univ. Student can use this place for "cleaner earth project". Government should pay more attention. You can make it even better place, add more flora and fauna species here. The ticket fee usage should be audited too to make sure proper utilization of public fund if this is not private owned.

Great place to spend the day. You can rent a wooden house and sleep over as well. Lovely views. Nice and quiet. Nice resto here as well. Many photographers come here. Great for school trips to take kids through the mangroves.

There's a lot of potential here. It is definitely cool to visit. Once. Stagnant water is smelly and there's very noticeable floating litter. Encouraging the use of trashcans cans all around ID would be awesome. None the less, a neat place!

Only smartphone or tablet allowed to take photo. Bring any Camera will charge you 1 million rupiah, very pricey. Very crowded at weekend. Btw, its a beautiful landscape with long bamboo pathway.
haekal joenoes (03/10/2017 06:36)
Very crowded during weekends and public holidays. But worth to visit. Don't forget to bring the mosquito repellent here, and enough money to spend, since you are not allowed to bring food from outside, and the goods which sold inside is quite pricey. Will be better if there was a shuttle bus from here to TransJak shelter which is quite far. It really helps the elderly.

Great place to do a nature walk & bird watching. I learnt a lot about mangrove ecosystem. The only mangrove forest in jakarta that well maintain & has a good facilities.
Lidya Sophiani (08/08/2017 17:53)
To be honest I think this place is overrated.
I went here on Sunday, the place was super crowded with people trying to take selfies everywhere.
It's a beautiful place but ironically, this place is a mangrove conservation area where people should be learning more about the environment, instead plastic bottles scattered around the mangroves, thrash were everywhere, and there was no educational content/signs/session/board of information that could help people understand more about the place.
It was frustrating and depressing to see a place that has so much potential and should be a sanctuary, taken for granted just for the sake of a nice pictures to be posted on the social media.
I don't think I ever want to come back here unless the management improve the waste management and put more educational contents for visitors.

So many nice place to take photo here. The air is so fresh. Don't forget to wear trousers if you don't want to be bitten by mosquitoes

Nice place to relax, read a book. You can spend the night in here. There are big house and wood tent for rent
Kikie Jochny (01/07/2017 07:05)
Spent a good time with family. But I wouldn't visit again. Weird that they don't allow digital camera. Garbage everywhere! 😡 good to take instagram photos.. but in reality, dirty..
Jonathan Farrel Kosimwidjaja (30/05/2017 11:26)
Good for recreation, photo shoots, field trips, camps, etc. Good nature, good scene. You can ride boats in the small river/canal. Watch out for mosquitoes EVERYWHERE. Especially near water or in densely wooded areas.
anascolina (10/05/2017 15:03)
The 'great bamboo bridge' that allows you to see the mangrove forest up close (with water beneath you) needs repair. It is not safe for adults and moreover children to walk on the narrow bamboo bridge with loads of holes in the middle. I mean, LOTS of +50cm gap. One of the playhouses also needs repair: the hanging bridge has gap, and unsafe for children. The mini fish pool is very dirty no fish can live there. The boat ride was okay, but the water needs some cleaning: lots of trash floating around and it is not a pretty sight to see. Yes, you can provide trash bins here and there, but you may also need more staff to clean and enforce cleanliness as well. The park has a promising nursery (for plants) and interesting cafe (that also seem to need more staff for cleaning). Please, clean this place. It is so promising, and those poor plants and mangrove (and visitor, really) needs better place to stay.

Another view of Jakarta: Mangrove Forest. You can go around by walk, or try the boat. It is a huge place, so I recommend you to wear comfy shoes. Unfortunately, the place is not quietly well maintained. There are so many trashes on the water the last time I visited. It is a little bit hot there because near the beach.
Achmad Wijayanto (31/03/2017 04:32)
A beautiful place to visit, adventure inside the mangrove forest trees, but you must be carefully walk on the bamboo bridge, watch your steps because the bamboo was cracked.
You can stay a night at wooden camping ground. Nice place for photography.
Inside the area you can found a unique mosque with wood and bamboo interior, don't worry if u hungry or thirsty, restaurant, food stall inside here.
Prepare your umbrella / cap and raincoat. Because the weather is unstable.
Saut Simanjuntak (28/03/2017 16:26)
It would be nice if they take care more to their walk street. They use bamboos, but much of them are cracked. So we do more focus to our step then the view itself.

its a mangroove jungle near the city where you can relieve your stress from the hectic work or city enviroment, its quite nice to chill and walk in nature

A wonderful place to visit. A hidden green forest paradise. Inside the forest, you will see lots of mangrove trees, fantastic view of lakes and wooden camping huts and bridges. Its not far from the city, near the PIK market and next to it is gigantic buddish education centre.
Kevin Septian (18/01/2017 14:48)
The place is really amazing, i totally agree that this is lost paradise for jakarta people, the busy metropolitan city. If they keep improving this place, it will be much more enjoyable place to visit. And I have to complain about the direction to reach this place, agree with someone who commented before me :(
Cosmas Wibisono (01/01/2017 06:20)
Googlemap lead us to the wrong direction. It's easier to use the way to Tzu Chi School. Fix it please so nobody mislead anymore.
Iskandar Prakoso (16/12/2016 16:45)
Love the place and the opportunity to take the small canoe to explore the mangrove forest...some lizard monitors were spotted swimming around us and it was an amazing experience..hope the management can take good care of this so called the remaining natural mangeove forest in the area...
조강한 (17/11/2016 14:42)
The access road to reach there is a bit difficult where lots heavy vehicles are using that Kapuk-Kamal Road extensively especially during working days. Why not try to make it possible to reach there through Pantai Indah Kapuk i.e. from next to Tzu-Chi temple for example.
Iskandar Nuhbatubara (01/11/2016 04:38)
It is organised. Soooo green. So friendly for vistors. It's realy sporty and entertaining.
Lina J (20/10/2016 09:12)
It's great to leave the hustle and bustle of Jakarta for a while and enjoy the quiet mangrove garden. Take the boat to cruise the river and you'll find huge lizards on the trees along the river
