I've been to some International bank in Europe and their marketing staff accepted me nicely with a smile on their face regardless what I wore that day or where I originally come from. They were patiently explaining the products and as friendly as possible answering every question I had. Last friday I went to this Standard chartered for the first time and it wasn't really good experience. This branch seriously needs to educate ONE of their marketing staff to act more like marketing staff. When I arrived, receptionist was friendly enough telling me to wait, I felt welcome. But once I met this marketing staff, she did answer my question but she seems like her time will wasted to talk to me, she said after answering some question "You can go to another Bank" without trying to knowledge me about another saving products. I came twice with my teacher meeting the same person because he felt there's something wrong, in the end that marketing staff rejected me saying that I couldn't open bank account there. How could this happened? When I clearly said I have money. Some said maybe because I looked like poor people that day. If that's the case, no, you cannot always judge a book by it's cover, miss. You might look richer than those people who you thought they don't have money, but you never know that they might richer than you and they could possibly become a potential client to the bank.
